I love 14ah battery but ❤️. If someone does modifications like increasing higher wattage bulbs or fog lamps or other electrical accessories I think 14ah is best....But for normal use 8ah is enough. I agree.

This battery bursted for me after usage of 3yrs, still 1yr left in warranty but explosion is not covered in warranty
Oops, I'm sorry to hear abt it. But usually Batteries last only 3 or 4 yrs bro with my experience. If the battery is dying or ageing its better to change. But explosion is really scary.

Yes recharging an old battery there is risk of explosion. Better to get a new one and live tension free for next 4yrs.

Hey mate! Can you tell specifics of the cover that used what make and model? I have changed the battery but the old one does not fit cuz of the new battery being wider as in your video struggling to find the new cover which will it. Cheers thanks in advance.
Buddy, you can find this cover in RE service centres, it is the bs6 classic's cover.
@@GoldDustFilms_Vignesh unfortunately bro there are no RE service centers in Melbourne, Australia and I was trying to find one on eBay or Amazon but no body has given specific info on parts there (only bs4 battery cover available no bs6) and customer reviews are all scrambled as some say it fits and some say it does.
Oh that's unfortunate. Here in India it's available, if you have any of your friends travelling to your place (by any chance), you can ask them to carry along for you.

Thank you for watching buddy, size is different hence why I had to change. If you watch the size comparison of the batteries in the video you will understand better. Old cover does not fit the dry battery.

Helpful video. One question - is there an Exide explore available in the same dimension as the old lead acid battery that can it be put in without replacing the cover? What is its name and is there any performance difference from the Explore you've used here?
Hi, here is all the info you need on the 12V 14AH battery. This is of the old battery size but pls do check the dimensions and compare with the size mentioned in the below link.

Hi Vignesh I have just bought the xltz9 battery for my classic 350...how good is it and wat are the specs they(battery provider) say it is the right one but isn't it 8amps and the specs as per RE say it should be 14 amps can u kindly guide me on that? Thanks
Hi, It's will work perfect on your bike, no worries. Since the time I installed it I have had no issues. Just make sure if you cold start kick start the bike especially in the mornings. That wouldn't put much pressure on the battery. There won't be any electrical issues thought it's not the 14amps. Go for it🙌

Nothing will happen bro. I installed after talking to my mechanic. Anyway I'm sure you won't keep the bike ON without keeping the ignition ON, atleast I don't. But there is 14ah dry battery available in the market now. Install that which has same specs but the dry version. You are sorted. For best advice you can definitely talk to your mechanic.
@@GoldDustFilms_Vignesh Yea the same was Confirmed by my mechanic as well and also as per the manual the original battery installed was of 8 amps too was a little confused there and u were correct 8 amps is powerful enuf to keep any bullet running even with the lights on all the time not that I am going to keep it on all the time 🙂 anyway thanks for the clarification🙏

Hi, the alternative for AMARON AP-BTZ9R is Exide Xplore Xltz9.
You can look online too. Or best is look for Amaron or Exide dealer in your city n call them up and check for availability with the model numbers I have mentioned. I'm sure you will find one for your bike as these batteries are pretty commonly used in may bikes.

Hi now you get the 14amph dry battery, Go for that. Size will be same as the liquid battery n you don't need to change the cover too.
Sir ,the side box would cost u arnd 700 rs ,then y u dont go for 14 ah battery ,it will cost u arnd rs 2600.
The box costed me 500. And I did not want to go for the liquid battery which is 14ah mainly because of leakage n rusting issues.

I have changed my stock lamp to 60/55 w and installed trumpet horns as well. My question is if I want to install chrome retro looks halogen fog lights...Will the battery support? Please reply... Fog lights are important and I don't like led ones.
Bro my advice is talk to your mechanic on the mods that you wanna do. You have already made a couple of mods that wld anyway consume some juice on your battery. And the halogen fog lamps are definitely more power consuming than the leds. If you are doing it make sure you take direct power from the battery or from the ignition out so that your wiring doesn't get busted.

With consultation with my mechanic, you can replace with a dry battery but the battery carrier needs to be replaced as the dry battery's size is different from the stock liquid acid battery. You either need to alter the existing carrier or replace with a new one.

I did not buy the cover online. I sourced it through my mechanic.

Firstly thank you for watching🙂.Exide Xplore XLTZ9 is 8ah capacity battery. A 8ah in place of a 14ah would not hamper the performance and functionality of the bike. Just that a 14ah battery can crank the bike on a cold start more number of times than a 8ah. I usually use the kick to cold start the bike so it is not a major concern on my bike. And I went in for this upgrade after consulting my mechanic who does all the maintenance on my bike from past 4 n half yrs. Also, the newer models of Royal Enfields come with Amaron ap-btz9r from the factory which is 8ah.

Well you just need to disconnect the terminals buddy, doesn't matter if it's negative first or positive first. Either ways the circuit is broken.
Secondly, even dry batteries will have electrolytes inside, placing it side ways will not be ideal as the terminals might get dry inside and cause damage to the battery. Batteries need to be placed the way they are designed to be placed, physics matters.
@@GoldDustFilms_Vignesh nah you should always remove negative first for safety reasons. cause if u remove positive first and the cable touches the body of motorcycle, then u can get sparks!

It wasn't available in the market back then. Now it is but it is and the same size of the old liquid battery, but it costs more than the 9ah battery plus the cover.

Bro the dimension is different from the old stock battery. Because this is dry battery. I did this upgrade with consultation of my mechanic who is one of the very experienced bullet mechanic in South Bangalore. Also, this is the same specs battery that comes with new Royal Enfield bikes.

Yes it will, I had checked on this with my mechanic too. But the battery housing should be changed to hold this small battery.

OEM battery kya hoti hain
OEM's full form is Original Equipment Manufacture. Which is original and not aftermarket. I would say it's genuine battery.
