  • Seeing as this world is vast, and some people are silly. Yes, this is a 2015 Yamaha FZ-07. Pretty sad I have to write this in the description as if I have no clue what bike I bought for $7,000.
    2015 Yamaha FZ-07 came in; White/Black, Red/Black, and Grey/Black. even Motorcycle.com shows this: www.motorcycle....
    Here is Yamaha North America site:
    www.yamahamotor...
    What I think is some people FAIL to understand various markets might of got different colors! That or silly kids are posting on videos with no clue what they are talking about.
    For example UK Yamaha page shows a purple color, do I go onto a TH-cam Video and say "Yamaha never had a Purple color for 2015"....LOL Different markets get different colors. Heck even the Euro Red is a dark red not a candy red like we got here.

    2015 doesn't come in red in Europe. At first, I thought this must have been a 2014 model since the title said FZ-07. Now I see it says MT-07 too. You guys are lucky in the US to get the red in 2015. However, in Europe we have "Deep Armor", "Competition White", "Extreme Yellow", "Matt Grey" and "Race Blu". Congratulations on a fine looking bike!

    Been considering the CB500F for awhile, but after checking out this bike think I'm leaning more towards it. Thanks for the details on it. Didn't know it had a gear indicator.

      +Justin Buell I'm riding a CB500F at my driving-school. Tbh the 500f is great, but the mt is more exciting.. so mt is the one I will be getting, but I enjoy riding the 500f, I just think i would get bored with it faster.

    Got mine last friday. This is my second bike(meaning I have 2 now). Other bike is a VStar 950. Love the 950, but it's gonna collect some spider webs for a couple weeks. I can't stay off the FZ for long. Fun bike.

      Just to let you know, but there is more tools, the sales guy put them with the manual. Oil Change is every 4,000; 26,600 for Valves so not too bad.

    • @Meekerextreme
      @Meekerextreme  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** On my 2001 FZ1 the valves if I recall were 28K miles or was it 24K miles...LOL Either way it was a lot. When I took it in the dealer said they just listen, and would not charge otherwise. Bike ran great and they never needed the valve at 48K miles when I sold it. You can tell a lot by sound and how the bike is running. i would do my own valve adjustment anyways at this point in life. It's actually not hard to do.

    I've always been a fan of the FZs Yamaha makes. Finally have the job required to buy such a bike and it's how me and my wifey made things work when I first started my work as a temp "she drove a car and I took a bike". Can't wait for tax season so I can buy one!!!!

    The clutch is adjustable. It is the silver knob.

    • @Meekerextreme
      @Meekerextreme  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is not an adjustable clutch, all the wheel does is fine tune clutch engagement not adjust for hand size.

    • @RobertTimm
      @RobertTimm 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does though. At least that same wheel does on my bike.

    • @Meekerextreme
      @Meekerextreme  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Timm Making it loose does not make it a proper adjustment. Now the front brake yeah that has a dial on top with numbers that change the lever position. I went out to double check the bike, the clutch is not adjustable. The wheel you are referring to adjust the tension on the clutch cable which adjust the clutch engagement. You want about a dime thickness of play.

    • @Meekerextreme

      My wife is real happy, true I put on the most miles to far and I'm happy with it for myself as an occasional outing. I'm not a street bike guy anymore. Types of bikes I like and relate to our off road, and Adventure bikes like a KTM 990 or GS1200

      I found something in the European market from Yamaha... It's the power plug and I assume it plugs in right under the rear seat and runs up to the front to plug in other accessories. Don't know why it's not available in the U.S.

    how is the torque on it and what did you ride prior to this so i can have a refernce since itll be relative

    • @Meekerextreme
      @Meekerextreme  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      My background: 1999 Ninja EX250, 2001 Yamaha FZ1, I have borrowed a friends 1998 VMax, and Intruder 700 before each for 3,000 mile rode trips. I had 15,000 miles on the Ninja 250 and 48,000 miles on the FZ1. We also owned a 2004 Honda 599 too for a bit but not many miles on it (Like this bike it was the wife's). I now mainly ride a 2001 Honda XR650R which I have around 70,000 miles of dirt on it. I also have a 2012 GasGas EC300 with around 5,000 miles of hard trails (watch my other videos). With off-road riding comes working on your own bikes.
      As for the Torque it's not bad but it's no FZ1, R1 or anything like that. This is an awesome commuter bike. It even has ECO lettering that show son the gauge so you know you are in the best fuel economy range. I think it's gimmicky but that is the world we live in today.
      I also love anything with a motor hell this could be 50cc Moped and I would love it. 99.99% of riders can not handle a small street bike to it's potential let alone a liter bike. Anyone can twist a throttle and rocket off, that is no skill.
      Maybe it's age, but if I were to buy a bike for myself I probably go with a Triumph Tiger 800 but then again I am into the Adventure aspect of riding nowadays not the battling with other road users aspect I once did like.

  • @wangshin248

    is it suitable for beginner ?

    • @Meekerextreme
      @Meekerextreme  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is always hard to answer. I went from a Ninja 250 to a FZ1. To me it's more about throttle control. There is a LOT more to a throttle then ON/OFF, there is a wide range of positions and the same goes for the clutch.
      There is not a ton of torque so if that is what you mean then YES this bike is fine. It's target audience I would say would be commuters which the bike works well for. It works for other uses too, I mean heck I took that Ninja 250 the week I bought it on a 600 mile trip each way....brought it back tot he dealer with like 1,500 miles on it. An average outing for me on a street bike is 150 miles, lots of times I do 300-500 miles loops.

      just bought it few months ago, this one is very easy to ride. light weight, low seat ( I'm 5ft6), and nice balance. I feel comfortable when ride a long road. If you can ride a bicycle, you're fine. Strongly recommend for new riders !

    • @Meekerextreme
      @Meekerextreme  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Out the Door - $7,161 I think it was. I myself have 2 other bikes which I had the wife listed on. With this it is like $431 Just to Fully Insure the FZ07. 100/300/50 Medical $1,000. Comp Ded $250, Collision ded $500, Accessory up to $3,000. But remember two people with same record, history and live in the same area can walk into an insurance office and get 2 different quotes. Progressive I can tell you did not have the FZ-07 yet listed.
