I'm a dairy farmer from CT USA where I milk 400 jerseys in a 50 stall delaval rotary did you think about putting in a rotary or just the swing parlor I'm surprised you didn't go with a 40 or 50 stall swing and how long does it take to milk and how many cows and any jerseys
Hi Robert, no jerseys here unfortunately all Holstein! We looked at rotary’s but space wise it wasn’t feasible plus we just preferred the swing-over system. Another few stalls would be great but we can milk 450 in around 2 hours so we are happy enough… at the minute anyway :) thanks for the message!
@@LorraineKillen do you have any hired help that milks or just family and does your milk go to Kerry Gold for cheese and butter mine goes to Agri Mark co-op for cheese but I milk jerseys there higher butterfat and can you sell any raw milk in Ireland we can where I live

No we will graze them outside during the summer if the weather allows!
