Gonna be honest, seeing the animations and how he fights, if this were to ever appear in the main series, I'm all for it. It isn't too rediculous, but also no black dragon level of it, he works.
As a person like myself who has just recently fought Guanzorumu, believe me when I say that adding a deliberately over the top with power elder dragon like this to the main series simply will not work in the slightest
@@GBA-049 not what I was meaning, I mean add him, but tweak him up a bit to fit in the main series, I mean, look at the everwyrm, could've easily been a monster in frontier from what it does, and it's in world as well as being a fantastic fight to boot. Besides from the chaotic abominations that are the frontier elder dragons, This one is on the low side of moveset equal to power in lore, and personally would fit well if given the 'lunastra treatment' just as Yian garuga and savage deviljho did, to give an example
I was just thinking about how Guan would handle Nergigante. It's actually physically strong itself, and its tyrant aura makes it the perfect foil to Nergigante's marauder style.
@@theorangeman9147 That would essentially destroy it's image as a frontier monster if something like that happened to any of them. Like the case for Lavasioth and Hypnocatrice for example. But yeah, to summarize this, none of the monsters in frontier should come to the main series because they'd be ruined and nerfed enough just to work. Plain and simple
I’m gonna say it: This guy is what Fatalis should be. It retains the basic design of a dragon while still being interesting, it has the aesthetics of a king with the crown-like horn arrangement and command over weaker monsters with a roar even louder than Lao Shan Lung’s and fire so powerful that it sends itself skidding backwards from the force, its wings expel constant flame and when enraged it throws hunters for a loop by exposing its true element: dragon. This design is befitting for a dangerous first class monster that is supposed to be the unbeatable king of the franchise.
One of the coolest elder dragon design with the Kushala Daora skeleton. + the new risen elder dragons look very suspiciously similar to his enraged/powered up form, and I love it💘

Out of all the really OP elder tier stuff in Frontier, Guanzorumu is easily one of the better candidates for main series inclusion, I'd argue its a better monster overall than the likes of Alatreon tbh
Compared to a lot of Frontier elder dragons which are just incompatible with the main series in terms of design philosophy and fight design, Guanzorumu just works. Hello welcome to Monster Hunter Frontier filled whit monsters that can cart you more than what behemoth does for example Disufiroa that is EVEN stronger than Alatreon and has more capability but has a new element called frozen seraphim a mix of fire ice and the dragon element not just thst but in the start of the quest huge attacks already spiked up and he even cheats DEATH Edit: but they have fucking anime shit
Frontier played quite differently from mainline games from what i’ve heard and in this game you had the tonfas and magnet spike which were insanely OP granting luxurious amounts of i-frames and insane damage, the magnet spike itself had a special attack which dealt more damage than a fully charged GS’s true charged slash combo ontop of immobilizing the monster.
And this single arena-wide attack is even inferior to sone shit you find in Iceborne. You can simply superman dive through it or get hit by the dragon energy sphere on purpose to make use of the invincibility.

Well, now that we are letting frontier monsters into base Monster Hunter… I don’t think this guy would make a bad addition.
I’d reserve this guy for the last title update before the expansion, while having ones like Rukodiora in the base game
