I don't get why so many people are hating on this ride because it's a "carnival" ride. It's just for people who don't enjoy the extreme thrill rides as much.

To be honest Six Flags is somewhat of a permanent carnival if you think about it.
I was so nervous and scared getting on for the first time, I actually ended up enjoying it
Na I hated my ride my thing was lose and I would fall forward and I was so scared I hated it then I got on it again same seat but on the other side lol and it was Still loose on that side but less then my 1st ride

I can't believe how much hate this ride gets. It's meant for the riders who aren't "Superman: The Ride ready" like I'm so grateful that six flags New England brought this, as well as 2 OTHER NEW ride experiences in 2016. Like WOW. Most parks don't even get one new ride experience every year. So the fact that we got 3 new rides and people are still complaining? Like get on with your self and your life. Did I mention how thrilling this ride is? It provides amazing hang time and a great thrill. Fireball fits in the Rockville area so well. Thank you six flags New England for bringing 3 new ride experiences!
Pride. Those who like the more extreme coasters enjoy sneering at those who ride what they consider to be inferior coasters. The idea of enjoying a ride just for the sake of enjoying a ride may be beyond their comprehension.

It's time for a story. Now, I was 13 years old when I went on this rollar coaster. I had never been on a roller coaster that went upside-down before. Little me had severe anxiety, but I was pressured by friends to get on it with them. So, I did. Lord let me tell you, I do not recommend it to anyone who has any sort of anxiety or panic attacks. As soon as I was looking down at my friends who were in the seats across from me, I knew. I had fucked up. I put my legs across and locked my feet under their seats. I felt my body sweating and could feel my body slipping out of my restraints. I closed my eyes as tight as I could and thought of better things. I tried to keep my breathing steady, but started panting. I could hearing people screaming and the feeling of knowing there was only one thing keeping me from plummeting to the ground was too much for me. I never went back to Six Flags that day, kids, and even after that I was pressured into riding Batman, Superman, and Mr. Freeze. Don't let anyone pressure you into something you're worrying about.

I love this ride! It's so fun. I love scary rides like super man and the other ones in this park but this is fun to start off with. I always go on this ride first
this is one of my favorite carnival rides and its the closet thing to a roller coaster you will get at most carnivals...however at a place that has real coasters its kind of out of place you know?
Not really the park needed an inverting ( upside down ) flat ride, they hadn't had one since 2013 when they removed twister which was located where this ride stands d

Today was my first experience of the ride. Listen to me the feeling was of good and when your upside down listen omggg. I would ride it again and again!!! Loved it
I think Six Flags hands were tied when they said every park would get a new attraction every year. You can't add new coasters and big rides every single year so they had to resort to adding fair rides.

AvoidTIMtation it is a carnival ride but this one is way bigger then the ones you find at your county or state fairs
If you are going to bash one flat ride you might as well bash all of them. 98% of flat rides have a transportable model for fairs and carnivals. This ride isn't any more carnival-y than the rest.
Luckily the ride is stronger then cheap fair rides.

Im 11 and love this ride. Was scared at first but I liked it after and rode 12 times and cant wait til the fair so i can enjoy it next summer!
I've been waiting for them to do something with the space Twister left for some years, this seems pretty fitting, I thought it'd be a little more extreme like faster loops, but seems cool, might go and ride it today.

+Minotux I did go but didn't ride it, line was too long but seems pretty cool in person, the lights display are awesome.
This is the best coaster in the whole park.

I've had the worst luck with this ride. I've been to SFNE 4 times since this was open, broken every time. I also went to Great Escape once, also broken.
Update: I finally got to ride it yesterday, 4/12/18
No it hasn't.....its been open everyday except in June for about 2 days. The only time it's down is for rain.

i was luckily able to go on first time yesterday 9/11/16 it was actually running yes it has broken down happens a lot to non roller coaster rides.. i felt bit scared when being locked in i was having issue with seatbelt so i had some anxiety thought restrain was to loose it obviously wasnt once the ride started i was fine i thought it was fun not super scary thrill but some "airtime" is fun to me, i love roller coasters the best missed out on superman again because a two hr wait time those lockers only last two hrs. and i don't give a crap about choosing vurtual reality. waited in line for this ride for about 15 mins.

it's actually taller I think than the carnival versions
+Gustavo Sanchez Most ring of fire's are 50 foot due to weight restrictions for the trailer. Plus the ring on the Carnival version is a bit narrower than the 73 foot rings. A 50 foot ring of fire with semi and trailer weights in just under 40 tons. A friend of mine use to have one of the 50 foot versions in his collection of carnival rides as well.

I rode Mardi Gras Hang Over Today at Six Flags Great America, it’s 30 feet taller and it hangs upside down for like 5 full seconds, also it only goes forward once and backwards once after it starts before it’s fully upside down, also it has 32 seats instead of just 24

Max McIntyre Have you ever ridden one of these things?!? I rode my first one when I was 6. It worked me up to “Extreme” thrills. Now I’m off here riding Superman the Ride and Batman the Ride. It’s is for people who aren’t ready for extreme rides. It is a gateway ride.

the fireball at my fair is much different and its called the ring of fire and the restraints on mine are so loose and the long stop at the top was scary i thought i was gonna fall off.

I love that ride
I have been afraid of rides until last oct. My wife came up with a way to get me on this ride. Since it was oct and halloween she dared me tlo wear one of het outfits and go on ride. ( outfit was her leather leggings , silk top , her leather jacket and a pair of her leather boots ) so i wore her outfit and went on ride. As i was wearing het outfit i walked up to ride and of course sat in the very front seat. I sat down on rise and pulled down the shoulder bar. I was locked in and scared. As the ride moves wife said look at me wearing her clothes and i laughed and laughed during the whole ride. I did it.

I got on this ride a few days ago and JESUS was it very thrilling my stomach literally died it is a really fun ride but to be honest it wasn't in England where I got on.
This one looks alot more safer than the one i was on. I'll never do that again-

basically like the old Pirate Ships that went all the way upside down. before ppl started dying on them or getting stuck upside down on them and parks getting sued lol. this looks safer tho so. cool stuff.
I rode that ride 10 times at Cabarrus county fair. feels like when you upside down you're about to fall out of the seat.

last night for a school trip my group of bff's went on this maybe like 8000 times. it was so much fun
I am heading to SFNE with on June 21st, which is the day right after school gets out, do you think it will be super crowded or will it be fairly empty? I really don't want to wait in 2 hours line just to ride a roller coaster and ruin the day.
I think medium because it probably busiest in July and August and some schools haven't gotten out yet
Thanks for your input, really appreciate it! Obviously knowing six flags, on busy days there is such long lines and they sometimes only run 1 train when they have 3. So if it isn't to busy I'll be happy!

I was never a fan of these rides. It is just like a pirate ship except you sit in a roller coaster seat. Definitely not something I'd wait more than one or two minutes in line for.

No. This is actually a great ride. I cried, just looking at it, because of course I was small, but I went on it and loved it. It doesn't tickle at all and I saw kids that looked like 7 year olds on that ride. It's fun. You should try it. Just be brave :)

So, slap a paint job on a typical carnival looper and charge a few extra bucks for it. Wow. What I'm most hilariously tickled by is the fact that Six Flags is so proud of their rather lame accomplishment, and that they had an opening ceremony for it.

Yeah, typical carnival rides suck. They should TOTALLY get rid of the Scrambler. And they should just remove all flat rides altogether! Roller coasters forever!
