- Six Flags New England is the premier amusement park in New England. This thrill park currently features 12 different roller coasters, several awesome flat rides, and a full-fledged Hurricane Harbor water park. In this video, I will rank my 15 favorite attractions currently at the park and list some of my favorites that have been removed over the years.

I’m happy to see someone else put Superman over Wicked Cyclone. Both are elite, but Superman is just amazing. Nice ranking.
Superman's layout is incredible.
People criticize it for the restraints, but that’s Six Flags fault, not Intamin’s. It’s a perfect storm of poor maintenance, and Six Flags being too cheap to invest in new Intamin lap bars.
Also depends what kind of ride you enjoy, both Coasters are in my top 10, but I prefer getting tossed around more like wicked cyclone. But don't sleep on Superman it's the best Hyper in my opinion!
It's the most incredible rollercoaster Ive ever been on
@@CanobieCoaster the superman at this park is way better than the ones in Darien lake and six flags America.
Thank you so much for including Houdini. It’s such a low-key, “well, I guess I’ll ride this one since the river rafts are outta service” ride, but ohhh man they pull off some neat stuff with that ride…
It's a very cool ride.
I thought it was kinda cool but for an hour and a half wait it wasn't that good
Never thought I'd see anyone rank pandemonium so high, but you proved me wrong!
I genuinely enjoy it.
@@CanobieCoaster shit uppp
It's so fun! I like it too
We waited in line almost 2 hours for that thing, and it only spinned the first half 😡
@@elizabethd112 Jeez!!
Nice to see my home park shown some love.
It's a good park
I travel to different Six Flags parks every year and can't wait to visit this park in May.
Enjoy!
Superman and Wicked Cyclone are easily my top two!
Same.
Having ridden a few more of these... I thought Blizzard River was kind of disappointing, one of the tamest raft rides I've been on. Swiss Family Toboggan is a great family raft slide, but they seem to have staffing issues that hurt the capacity (there really ought to be two or three people working the top; there was one) and with any kind of rider volume the wait to ride it is hellacious. Cannonball Falls is an OK assembly of tube slides.
I think Adventure River, the waterpark's lazy river, is a terrific one and a surprise standout. I enjoyed it much more than Blizzard River.
Thunderbolt is a solid and underrated classic woodie, though not a high-thrill one. Batman, a respectable if smaller-than-average B&M looper, though it doesn't have that special hook that makes a ride really stand out.
And while I'd rate Wicked Cyclone above Superman as the park's #1 ride, it's only by a hair and this is a pure matter of taste--both rides are masterpieces and reasons to visit the park all on their own. Wicked Cyclone still seems to be slightly underrated to the degree that the lines early in the day can be quite short, though when I rode it yesterday it broke down when I was just about to enter the station.
Blizzard River definitely isn't the strongest rapids ride, but I do enjoy the change of pace since it's the last remaining water ride there. I agree the park has a nice lazy river. Swiss Family Toboggan always struggles with staffing, which is why it's often closed.
The Buzzsaw was the best ride in the park ever, period! Seriously it’s sad to see so many classics get taken out - Time Warp, the original Cyclone, Chaos, that indoor Joker casino ride, the original trains on Goliath (I never rode it but I rode 2 of the 3 Deja Vu’s and those were the finest rides Vekoma has made pre-modern times). As for the current line up, I think you got it pretty much right on. I’d also include Cannonball Falls - it hurts like heck but what a rush of a water slide. It feels borderline unsafe. Keep up the great content!
Cannonball Falls has good speed, but it's not the smoothest body slide out there.
I enjoyed that Buzzaw. It sucks that they took it away.
Catapult looked so beautiful it’s very sad only two Sky Swats were ever made
They were maintenance nightmares.
Definitely my favorite defunct ride at SFNE. Would ride it everytime I went.
I have recently moved to Maine from Florida and been looking to go to SF. Thanks for this list.
Enjoy!
Thanks for the memories. Grew up bouncing between here, lake compounce, and cannobie lake. Moved out to ohio about 10 years ago, and im about to hit up cedar point for the first time ever!
Enjoy!
Hey, I'm from three years later. Fireball has been taken down. Don't know why, but I loved that ride. Sad it's gone. And, a few other rides you've shown I haven't seen, and I've been to the park for my whole life. Maybe I don't remember them but, ye.
It was damaged in a windstorm unfortunately.
I hope they can replace it sometime soon, or something at least to fill the void. In the wait between Joker and Quantum Accelerator, we've lost WAY more than we've gained.
SFNE has a great lineup, all I'd say they are missing is a launch. Great video and you should definitely do more of these types of videos. Al though I can imagine it being a little harder to include defunct rides for parks more west cause all your home parks are over there in the East.
I'd be willing to make one of these for any park where I've ridden all major coasters and non-coasters.
Never been there but your descriptions and filming are awesome. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks!
Nice Top 15 man! Would have Black Widow, A Defunct Arrow Shuttle loop that was at six flags new England made the list?
Had I ridden it, it likely would have claimed the 3rd spot based on my love of Frontier City's Diamond Back.
You certainly have far more experience here than me. I also put Superman ahead of WC. The water coaster was closed when I was over there. I had no clue what Houdini was going to do when I did it. I thought it was so cool. It became my 3rd favorite ride at the park, but that might not last if I could ride it all the time. Next on my list would be Batman, Riddler Revenge, the drop tower, then the giant discovery.
Typhoon is closed a lot.
Wow, number one surprised me… I keep forgetting that you preferred it over Wicked Cyclone! Also I was surprised to see the flourless so low but that’s why I love this list is because it’s not like what I expected
Superman is a top 10 steel coaster for me.
My favorite ride (not including anything in the waterpark) was Superman: The Ride followed by Wicked Cyclone, New England Skyscreamer, Batman: The Dark Knight, Thunderbolt, Blizzard River and The Riddler's Revenge. I didn't do much in the dry park because I spent half of my day there in Hurricane Harbor and we had a long drive back to Boston when the day was done. I also chose not to do any cloned rides like Flashback or The Joker because I had already ridden them at other parks but The Riddler's Revenge was a clone I never rode anywhere else which is why I did that. I hope to return in a few years after a few new exciting additions are hopefully added.
This park does have a lot of cloned coasters. Thankfully they have the big 2, a decent B&M, and a classic woodie for coasters.
going for the first time ever this week! thanks!!
Enjoy!
much love and respect to you and your channel. I hope that all is well for you and your family and friends.
I hope all is well for you too!
Im going there tomorrow! Looking forward to these rides!
Enjoy!
@@CanobieCoaster ty i did ! :)
It’s so sad getting older and seeing some of my favorite memories gone! Splash Waterfalls and the Buzz Saw! Reminds me of when my mom would bring me! Those are some she’d ride with me 💗
And I’m only 28 damn I’m not 60
The lineup has changed through the years for sure.
The Harley Quinn is the best fucking ride I have ever ridden, but my favorite will always be Superman!
Harley Quinn is a good one.
Superman the Ride is my number 1 at Six Flags New England. The layout is wonderful, and I love the diversity of airtime and laterals. Wicked Cyclone comes in at its heels. You can't go wrong with this RMC hybrid, and the props are a nice touch. Batman the Dark Knight may be a smaller floorless, but I love coasters with twisted layouts.
Superman is definitely the best.
I thought that I was imagining Splash Waterfalls lol. That ride was so much fun.
It was indeed fun. But I do prefer Joker.
I’m still a kid and I’m not tall enough for Superman but wicked cyclone is my favorite ride so far
Superman is even better in my opinion.
The voice cracks in thunderbolt tho 😂
Oops
2:28 fun fact they actually took out the double waterfalls that used to be there halfway through the ride and the structure is hidden by wicked cyclone. It's now replaced with just a little like sprayers from the fountain by the flash pass. They removed it sometime in the past 2 years because I remember writing it like 2 years ago and seen the waterfalls but according to povs 2 years ago there's no waterfalls.
The waterfalls definitely made it a game of Russian Roulette.
I don’t care what anybody says, Superman: The Ride is literally the best roller coaster in the world
It's one of my favorites.
I'm thinking of going there this labour day weekend, it'll be my first time in New England
If you want to wait for some lines to die down, a quick ride on Kontiki keeps the fun going at SFNE
True!
I just went to SFNE today, Finally did every ride and can say I have a 3-way tie between Wicked Cyclone Superman and Batman, but if I had to choose I’d Choose Batman.
Nice!
Batman is so underrated
Unpopular Opinion, But I actually liked Goliath more than Superman and would rank it as the 2nd best ride in the park.
Definitely a hot take.
Totally agree with the top of your rankings. I also agree with you on Pandemonium, except there is nothing guilty about the pleasure! I can’t wait to ride some other Gerstlauer spinners!!! Finally rode my first rmc hybrid here. I definitely preferred it to my only other rmc - jersey devil.
Nice!
Oh man. I was let down when I found out the Gerstlauer spinners are all copy and paste.
This is a perfect list. The way I rank rides, is by the list I make of the park when I go there. I’d like to go good - really good. But I’d say that Wicked Cyclone is the best, since that was the first RMC Hybrid coaster. But I might change my mind.
Superman is the top dog for me, but Wicked Cyclone is great as well.
@@CanobieCoasterSuperman is the top dog, I just rode it yesterday since I never had enough time the times I’ve went.
I just got 2 season passes. Never did this before. My boyfriend has never went so this is cool. I use to be 400lbs so I could never really do rides. Now I'm 51 but 149. Big difference. There's so many new rides. It's been like 15+ yrs since I've been😊
They've added quite a bit since then.
I must of seen the Thunderbolt break down on 3 separate occasions throughout my time at this park, trapping people on the ride 😅
Great video! I haven't been here in years~
Usually Thunderbolt is reliable for me.
I’m going on Saturday and I am so excited! Especially for Superman and Wicked Cyclone!
Enjoy!
Love the video but for when i personally went on the riddlers revenge i still got least 3 head bangs but still an amazing ride
It's still shaky, won't deny that.
I have not been here but the Joker looks creative. I'm looking forward to visiting here soon.
Enjoy!
The one thing about SFNE is that they really needed to update their kids area.
If I were to design an looney tunes themed area for Warner bros, I would take inspiration from mickeys toontown in Disneyland. By having references from various looney tunes and merrie Melodie’s cartoons from the golden age of animation, and by having cameos of lesser known characters.
I think it's a solid kids area, but it has been a long time since a new ride was added there.
The park could get the Over Georgia treatment by having a Bugs Bunny Boomtown and redo Kidsopolis into DC Superfriends if they were to renovate them
I went on Cyborg once, but I'll never go on it again. When I went on it, the inside was really cool and I also loved how smooth this ride was. But, when it was time to get off, my harness got stuck. They pushed the button again (also like 4 other people got stuck), It wouldn't work. Then, the person working there came over and hit the emergency release. Everybody else got off okay as well, yet it scared me so much!
That's unfortunate!
The cyclone, black widow, thunder bolt, monorail (to make out with chicks), sky balls, sea dragon, slingshot, and antique cars
Some good rides back in the day.
Superman Ride of Steel is a tremendous combi-coaster. We can watch the movies and imagine what it's like but they have really captured at Six Flags New England what it MIGHT be like to be Superman. I've sat numbers of times in last seat, the middle and front over they years, but, with no distractions, in the front seat - study up on how the actual Superman (Christopher Reeve,) flew around, hands first, especially during the first 180 turn coming down through and banking between two buildings. I realized it's the coolest experience I believe I've ever had on this here earth. Great Job 6-Flags NE!! Now if we could bring the ride home with us - that would be even better - buy it in the gift shop.
You can get a nanocoaster of it like I did.
@@CanobieCoaster ya, but it has to actually work.. even if it's a model.. lol
just went there again today as im an hour away love superman, batman, wicked cyclone, mind eraser, sky screamers. We got some front seats on superman while it was raining and the rain would sting your face, it was super cool tho
Nice!
Superman is the best ride there, the view and the drop are some of my favorites about this ride, those restraints do hurt and I wish I got the experience Superman with its old T-bars
I love the ride even with the current restraints.
I went on the Superman ride for the first time ever, and a flip-flop came flying back at me and my cousin, and it hit my cousin in the nose and he got a nosebleed. My aunt was saying to sue😂
Oh no! Sorry that happened.
Finally, Someone else who puts Superman above Twisted Cyclone!
Until 2019, I probably had Wicked Cyclone slightly ahead of it.
Wicked cyclone
Thunderbolt placed over riddler revenge is cruel.
I like classic wood coasters.
I went as a kid a long time ago and I remember the go-karts on the circle track. They were pretty quick. I remember going on over and over. This was in the late 80s. I wonder when they removed those. I returned this summer and rode all the new rides. This was my first RMC and I'm hooked. Next stop Iron Gwazi
Iron Gwazi is far better.
@@CanobieCoaster I live in Orlando and haven't gone yet to Iron but hear it's the best. Do you remember the go-karts at Riverside park?
Three most underrated rides at six flags are def the Joker, wicked sky clone and the swings
I like all 3 of those.
This is my hometown park thank you for posting this
You're welcome!
i used to go to six flags new england all the time as a kid, after having a dream about it last night i wanted to see what was still there. Sad to see Buzzsaw is gone
It's opening next weekend for the year.
The fastest part of cyborg is the end because before the support structure is spinning in the opposite direction of the riders and when the support stops spinning, the riders continue to spin
Ah, makes sense.
I’m glad Six Flags axed Goliath. That was a truly horrendous ride.
On RCDB, it says it is still operating!
@@360coasters they’re wrong. Six Flags removed it from the map 🗺
It's confirmed to not operate in 2020 and likely gone forever since the sign was removed.
@@CanobieCoaster Kinda glad tbh
honestly i want superman to be my favorite but the lap bar restraints is a turn off to me
I don't mind the current restraints.
Went yesterday and safe to say when I go back I'm not going on the rides. Water park seems fun
Why not?
@@CanobieCoaster was my first time on a Rollercoaster and definitely my last. I'm still nauseous 😂...I went on Riddler and mouse trap "byeeeeee" lol.....never again. I now have a fear of heights
Each time my friends and I go to Six Flags New England, near park closing, we would ride blizzard river over and over until the park closed
That must get you wet.
@@CanobieCoaster Yep
I went to 6 Flags New England in 04, glad to see Hudini make the list and see Siperman at no1.There was a inversion ride we rode called Mr Freeze, I think.Wonder whatever happened to it
Houdini is a unique one.
7:28 if you said that the pandemonium is the best non coaster at the park, It's pretty ovious that the 2 better ones are Superman and Wicked Cyclone
8:22 and you like Superman more
I probably meant Harley Quinn Spinsanity. I got mixed up since that ride goes by Pandemonium at some parks.
Was Riddler's Revenge always named Riddler's Revenge?
A) No, Mad Twirl
B) No, Mind Eraser
C) No, Sea Viper
D) No, Twist Cobra
B
They have a joker ride here in New Jersey at six flags great adventure
Yes
When Mind Eraser, the Vekoma SLC, opened at Riverside Park, with the traditional trains and over the shoulder restraints, did many enthusiasts like it or consider it to be smooth and not painful?
Most found it rough from day one.
I don’t know if this is outside of things you’d be interested in doing a video on or not, but I’d really like to see a video about different kinds of brakes, specifically which coasters use magnetic brakes and how that compares to other braking methods. If that’s too nerdy tho, I understand 😂
I don't think I'd be able to elaborate more than what is already out there, sorry!
@@CanobieCoaster I appreciate the response either way lol ☺️
When Mind Eraser, the Vekoma SLC, opened, the park was already rebranded Six Flags?
No
I’m going here in a couple weeks I can’t wait!!
Enjoy!
@@CanobieCoaster thank you!
For the last week of summer I’m going to Water Country and Six Flags New England and a lake in one week
Enjoy!
@@CanobieCoaster I will!
i got to ride thunderbolt twice in a row because they didn’t stop us fast enough hehe

The Batman
The Houdini
The tomahawk
Supergirl
Cyborg
Screamer
It was pretty fun! I’m going back on Friday which is cool. In my opinion the screamer was the scariest and the Houdini was trippy af.

@@Luvloex I’m going very soon. Were the lines long or not really?
@@solange5564
Flashback personally it’s pretty fun and it isn’t really scary.
The plot where Batman is looks like it was for a batclone. I wonder if one was supposed to go in that plot
I wish we got one of those.
I love this
Thanks!
Thanks dude
No problem
At Six Flags New England, about the rides and coasters operating and defunct, what do you think:
Superman the Ride
Wicked Cyclone
Cyclone
Thunderbolt
Riddler's Revenge
Batman the Dark Knight
Gotham City Gauntlet
Flashback
Goliath
Catwoman's Whip
I talk about the good ones in this video.
I was like “15!? There’s only 12!!” Then noticed it included defunct ones 😆😆
Defunct didn't count in the 15 count.
@@CanobieCoaster WAIT WAIT IT SAID RIDES 😭😭 I THOUGHT IT SAID ROLLERCOASTERS LOLL
@@CanobieCoaster the fact I thought it was rollercoasters makes this funnier somehow
I'm referring to the Vekoma SLC at Six Flags New England when it originally opened, which trains and restraints did it use?
The old trains with bulky over-the-shoulder restraints.
I have mixed feelings the first drop on the wicked cyclone. It just gives an extremely uncomfortable feeling near my stomach to thighs.
I like the ejector airtime.
Wicked Cyclone and Superman shouldnt be competing against which is better, but both are eaqually the best at the park
Both are excellent.
When Mind Eraser (Riddler's Revenge), the Vekoma SLC, opened back or first opened, was it already Six Flags New England?
Yes that one has only operated at that park.
I’m going to six flags New England and I wanted to see what rides I should ride I’m definitely going to try Superman. I’m so excited.
Edit: It’s my first time
Enjoy!
The disrespect having Batman outside the top 3
Superman
Batman
Thunderbolt
Batman is decent, but I can't quite put it in the top 3.
I remember the Superman getting stuck at the very top of the hill and took 30 minutes to go down 😭
Wow!

is Goliath still closed? ? that was my favorite ride at the park.
It has been removed entirely.

Honestly my favorite six flags park
It's a nice park, but there are some other Six Flags properties I prefer.
@@CanobieCoaster Yeah New Jersey I like I just have some good memories at New England
wicked cyclone is easily the best
I love Wicked Cyclone, but I prefer Superman.
When Mind Eraser, the Vekoma SLC, opened at New England (Riverside), did many enthusiasts like it or consider it to be a smooth ride?
I think they found it rough.
Did you ever ride the parks Top Spin Twister
Yes, it didn't have a good cycle most of the time.
Why did many then Premier Parks and Six Flags parks like Belgium, Elitch Gardens, Riverside Park (New England), Astroworld, Geauga Lake, Darien Lake, have a Vekoma SLC?
It was easy to clone.
My favorite roller coaster is the cyclones flashback
Wicked Cyclone is one of their best rides for sure.
What's the differences between the restraints in the original trains and the restraints in the premier trains, on Goliath?
The restraints weren't too different. The Premier train just shook way more.
Did you like the original trains on the Goliath? and the premier rides trains there?
The old trains were good.
Some people believed that both original and Premier trains offered a similar ride on Goliath, but what do you think about both?
The new trains were way rougher.
Was Goliath with the original train more painful or rougher than Goliath with the Premier train?
The old train was good. The new one is not.
The best coaster for you in the world was Copperhead Strike at Carowinds?
No
Goliath and Riddler's revenge (Mind Eraser) replaced trains, what did you think with the replacements on both coasters?
Goliath became awful. Riddler Revenge became ok.
Fright fest is a great time to go and what is a comfortable position on superman so I don't hurt my legs
Fright Fest is usually busy, but it's great for night rides.
I prefer tornado over a lot of these
That's fair!
the original trains were good, but what happened with the premier rides trains that they added?
The Premier ones were rough.
I’m going to six flags this summer
Have fun!
Was Goliath at Six Flags New England the roughest coaster for you in the world?
The roughest coaster for you in the world was Cornball Express at Indiana Beach?
No to both
