I rode on Iron Gwazi last May, 2023. The video gives you no conception of how fast the carriage car is actually travelling. I have rode many of the big coasters in Florida many times, and must admit Iron Gwazi is an extremely fast ride and not for the faint hearted........!!
Difficult to say, it depends from person to person of course, but I would say this ride has a lot of airtime moments where you feel the feeling of weightlessness. I don’t necessarily feel it on my stomach on roller coasters, but others do. But it’s a pretty intense one and that first drop is quite “wow”…
This coaster flies! I've never ridden this before but it seems like the speeds make it difficult to even figure out whether or not your upside-down, right-side up or ?? I really love the spins and corkscrews added with again that speed, WOW! Now it seems like it's also a smooth ride. I'm basing/judging this on a video I'm watching on a tablet so? Anyone who's actually ridden this ride I'd love any feedback on how it rides, and how if feels. Those hills and again the speed HAS to give you some weightless feelings. I'll bet this is a top 10 coaster for many Coaster enthusiasts.
Absolutely hands down the best and fastest coaster in Florida. In the top 5 all time best coasters in the world. I absolutely only ride front row. Absolutely Outstanding
For sure a really amazing ride! But personally I was a little bit bigger fan of VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure. But nevertheless Iron Gwazi is still incredible and world class for sure!
It is and that's why I'm not that big a fan of this coaster. You have no time to actually enjoy any of the elements. It's just a constant barrage of elements and then it's over. Have ridden it a few times and will ride it if it's a walk on, I wouldn't queue for it.
It’s quite fast indeed and no time to breath for sure 🤣 And yes, it’s over before you realise it maybe. That’s why I’m a much bigger fan of Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point. About the same, but feels longer.
This is easily the most relentless coaster I've ever ridden. Once you hit the drop, you belong to gravity. Some people complain that it is too short, but I believe if it were longer, with the same intensity from beginning to end, like it is now, some would grey-out like some did on Intimidator 305 when it opened.
Well, coincidentally I did Steel Vengeance yesterday and I’ve got to admit I liked that one even more than Iron Gwazi. Don’t get me wrong: Gwazi is amazing, but it’s indeed a tiny little bit too short, especially if you compare it to Steel Vengeance which is (or at least feels) a lot longer and has the same kind of unstoppable speed and power! It’s ruthless!
@@themeparks_todo While I do agree, in principle, I think if Steel Vengeance had ended after the 1st inversion post mid-course, It would've been fine, but the 2 inversions after that and the bunny hills at the end, to me mind you, were a bit too gratuitous and for me, not needed. Remove the mid-course, and I'd like it more.
Yes! And that is very normal, as this ride is actually constructed by the same roller coaster manufacturer as Steel Vengeance. Just a different lay-out. 😁 Have you been on Steel Vengeance yet?
@@themeparks_todo yes, I have! First time I ever went upside down with only a lap restraint! To be honest, that made me the most nervous. I was hoping I wouldn't fall out! (First-time nerves, I guess!) 😂
@rebekahhesketh1220 Hahaha, I can imagine! And Steel Vengeance is already quite a spectacular one as a first time upside down coaster with a lapbar! 😲 So those nerves are definitely understandable 😆 But I’m sure the ride was amazing? I’ll be doing Cedar Point next week for the very first time. Extremely hyped for that park!
@themeparks_todo yes, Steel Vengeance was a lot of fun! But, for starters, I highly recommend Gatekeeper. It's right at the front gate, you can't miss it! For the entrance to that ride, if I recall correctly, once you're through the entrance to the park, you go to your right, and straight back. Have fun!
@rebekahhesketh1220 Oh, definitely doing all the coasters there. Three days at Cedar Point, so I will enjoy all the rides thoroughly. And thanks for the info! Gatekeeper is definitely on my to do-list! 😜
I prefer the old version but I can see why they created this newer experience. Thrill and danger is what sells nowadays. I'd rather admire this one from afar while i'm riding Sheikra.
I unfortunately never rode the old Gwazi, but I am a really big fan of Iron Gwazi for sure. 😁 But it’s so brutal and ruthless I get that some people think it’s a bit too much and rather like the older version.
i think this is a great coaster but my biggest gripe when I went on it was that there aren't any headrests, even though you're going really fast and upside down and down a drop only slightly shorter than mako and it really hurt my neck. the only coaster I cried out of shock after riding and I loved velocicoaster so please please take that into account if you have back or neck issues but still like coasters
I rode this in 2022 and boy I gotta say this ride still terrifies me till this day I was so fast almost gave me a heart attack and I regret riding the front seat 😂
My brother and dad were queuing on this but then the queue stopped because someone got injured and it was closed. Fortunately we all got infinite fast pass so we all did cheetah hunt :)
@@themeparks_todo it seems to be. I wish i could try it out. Colossus twisted is a blast. So this is like colossus on steroids then. I seen the height first thing I noticed. I really want to ride this. I never been to Florida in my life. But I would way rather ride that then some bunk Disney rides
Lol, you have wooden coasters, made completely out of wood (or at least mostly), you have steel roller coasters, made out of steel (obviously, lol) and you have hybrid coasters, which is a mix of both. In this case a mix of wooden supports (as this coaster used to be the wooden coaster Gwazi, but was completely altered), newer steel supports and a completely new steel track. A coaster which enters the water is a water coaster (so yeah, those exist too 😂)
I know the top comment is literally this but why was that guy just sitting with his hands on his lap not even gripping the side bars or putting his hands up
This is the best RMC in my opinion. The only problem is the loading and turnaround times are excruciatingly slow. During our last few visits the average to load and get a train out is about 3 minutes. That’s awful. If you’ve been on Hulk at Islands of Adventures you’ve seen how quick it can be. I bet they average a train every 60 seconds or less. They’ve got to end the double checking of the restraints and get the crews to speed it up.

LOL. I was looking like, they sure are calm.
@ladennayoung2939 Hahaha, but nevertheless still liked it.
You could do that on any coaster. They are designed to keep people safely in their place if they have fainted.
