Was fascinated with the conversation about sound, then the subject changes abruptly. Would love to hear the rest of that conversation about how sound looks in the alternative state
Speaking of "the world being sung into existence", that is exactly verbatim how Tolkien describes the creation of the universe in the LOTR setting. Literally a metaphysical symphony, harmonies and melodies etc. Then Melkor starts his shit. Starts adding discord and augmented and diminished equivalents, thus creating the first inklings of evil. Steiner talks in a lecture about human evolution into the next Epoch. Interesting that he describes us as not just communication via our minds but also 'seeing' the intention of thoughts of others. My feeling is he was sensing a 'sans' psilocybin version of the same thing as Terence in this video.
I can think of few things more jarring in life than a Terence McKenna monologue that has been monetized, such that one moment, through McKenna's linguistic brilliance, you are right there with him in the alien realm, and a nanosecond later you're punched in the face with a Pizza Hut box. Not just once but maybe four times in half an hour. For me this is on a par with sacrilege. To monetize McKenna in this way is truly the Devil's work. I mean, presumably to make this video in the first place you must have met the Mushroom, have had some sense of how otherworldly and profound that is. And what, your first thought upon sobriety is right, how m'a go sell that shit? Words fail me.
Joe Rogan said, that 5MEO-DMT would be totally different to DMT. He spoke about a light, as if he weren't there anymore. I think these experiences are individually different, but I would like to hear more of it even in regard to psylocybin.
I haven’t seen any clear research, but DMT can produce such powerful changes in a person’s sense of empathy and compassion that it would not surprise me at all.
I’ve never taken a psychedelic where I can see and/or converse with higher dimensional entities but this is always a constant from trip reports. The issue I have is how is it they know human languages - they always speak English or im guessing whatever language the tripper speaks. I have heard a couple of reports of people meeting entities that communicate without words and more thought based which would make more sense if these experiences are truly genuine
It's not words, thoughts and realisations. When it happens you will know. You can feel that you're in communication with a higher being and it's amazing.
I met a goddess on grass. Only one time. But it was so impressive. I certainly wouldn't be able to make that up. I just felt her. No communication though.
When you are deep in a trip, or even just beforehand - ASK IT FOR WHAT YOU WANT. Ask the universe, God, whatever, for what you want, be genuine, be specific without being too specific (be reasonable). You will be surprised at what happens afterwards with some time.
It's obvious to me that McKenna did not achieve a full experience on 5meo by his descriptions in this video. The full experience on 5meo involves being surrounded by a white light feeling the numinous tremendum. You are also completely out of body for the duration.
He had his limitations for sure. He said that if we discovered a drug to help recall dreams, psychedelics would become obsolete. Yet that aim and more, conscious astral projection etc, can be achieved via audio frequencies and basic training, since the 1970s. He also smoked copious amounts of weed, which blocks dream recall. The areas where he fell short are more than compensated for by the areas in which he excelled tremendously.
I'm pretty sure he experience that. When he talks about the oceanic sentiment of light in other lectures. Once I experienced it through what probably was fake LSD (25I-NBOMe), 500ug. Crazy
He is talking about NN-DMT, not 5-MEO. He was a very experienced psychonaut, he has experienced what you describe and alot more. You should listen to him more, he was a very interesting and entertaining man.
I suspect the word is made flesh by mastering the body so we may wield ourselves in application to a craft until we reach mastery. There is no other way to brin back the message in objectified form than through the body. In the words of Sam Harris: Get back to the body.
