At the time of this filming - where we are from in Canada and in many parts of the world it is very cold weather. As a small relief to some of our viewers experiencing such low temperatures and can not get their "RC fix" outside.. we share this RC ADVENTURE with you in hopes it gives you a smile, to help give you warm thoughts! :)
Real or Model? It's a Model, of course - but it sure does trick the eye.. In this video I use one of my custom model Radio Control trucks that I have brought down to a tropical area. The original Model was a Tamiya CC01, but it has been completely done to model one of my first brand new Full Sized trucks, back in 2012. Full appearance package and all.. Some of our viewers may remember it from past videos. This model is build to look and function as close to a full sized pickup truck as possible, though the size of this model is only 1/10th in size - and weighs only 7lbs, with a 7volt Lithium Polymer Battery installed. This truck has been specially made to go into the ocean water, and resist any damage.
My goal in this film was to show the fun of the radio control hobby, specifically in the growing area of 1/10th scale "Trail Trucks", and modelling "Realism". The hobby of radio control is quickly expanding world wide, and the best part of it - is you can involve the whole family!
Today, I want to fool your eye with the photography - but, all the while reminding you that it is still a radio control model.
Jem, Maurice and I had decided to take some time to do something different for our viewers and change the location of our show - if even for a moment! This resort was Great for Maurice's first vacation (Our now 4 year old Son). They didn't know we were coming, nor that I would be shooting a video here - and we were treated so well!
A Special Thanks to Roberto, the Concierge (for taking me up to the TOP of the resort to get that awesome intro shot to this film [It is not a Drone Shot]), the entire friendly, and helpful staff. Jaquie, and all the wonderful ladies at the kids club, providing fun and engaging activities for Maurice and other kids to take part in.. Vladimer, Efron, Mario & Jaun took good care of us all around the beach, serving us lunch, water, drinks.. anything we wanted.. and Marisol, and other folks tidied up everywhere we went - even though we did our best to keep our room clean! Haha, Maurice's Lego was all over.., Not to mention Dad's (me) RC truck parts strewn about.

I live in Florida. When I boat or drive at the beach I rinse the vehicle and then spray it with a drying rust preventer. If rust still forms after that I scrub it with a rust remover using a toothbrush or soft wire brush. With these methods I'm able to keep my RC pretty rust free.

I would hate living there! I love the rain almost every day here in the winter in WA ST! At least the Sasquatch love it. Nice to see you guys in a warm place having fun in the HOT sun! You might conceive a new baby sister for your son! It would be cool to tow a little parachute with a guy behind it!

I took my slash 4x4 Vxl to a beach and I ruined a set of pro line tires and had to re do all my shocks and differentials, but that’s because of all that brushless wheel-spin.

Awesome video! My wife, kids and I are taking a vacation in Florida next month. I want to bring my Proline ProMT 4x4 with me. Dying to bash that thing. The weather has been too cold and snowy. I've already ruined on receiver because of the snow. Anyway, thanks for the video about traveling with lipos it was right and time and very helpful. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Chris.. this was a really magical time. It was beautiful there. I have mixed feelings about this video. It was this trip, where i really new something was wrong with my health. A turning point to a very difficult year.. but, I get to start proper medication tomorrow... finally. and I have so much information. i started to make video runs of my rig because of u man and i post them to a axial 10 2 group on facbook and people live em i even inspired a couple of people too all thanks to u mann thanks man i used to post to my u tube channel but not to many people viewed them lol and i work pretty hard at it too but its cool ill prolly post from now on u inspired me so thank u for that

Medic i want to see more of this. I know you dont get a whole lot of beach were you live but i think it would have also been cool to see a fast car with alot of flex drive on that and watch the suspension flex back and forth in slow mo as you gun it up the beach. In fact now you can do a vid on how to get sand out of your rc
