Yay! This reminds me of the old hippy vests we wore -- uh I mean -they- wore back in the 60's. Anybody remember those? Only this one is much nicer! Thanks, Crystal! 💕💕💕. (Thank you for the wonderful trip down memory lane everyone!)

Hi Crystal. I have two alternative suggestions for a closure. The first is to chain then single crochet one row on the chain to create a belt loop on each side seam of the vest at waist level. You could single crochet a belt to fit your waist, 1 inch wide and as long as you like, either tying it or using a lovely wooden ring. OR you could crochet a cord in the manner of your choice, making it long enough to fit around your waist and tying it. Then, thread it through the spaces in your vest, completely around the body of the vest, from the right front band completely around to the band on the left front. It could hang down loosely or be tied. I hope that you like my suggestions. I enjoyed your tutorial very much. Thank- you Crystal. Love, Audrey. 🇨🇦

Just what I'm looking for. I have a knitted sweater similar to this, but I can't wear it in the summer and I miss it. I love long tops and coats, etc. It looks great on you, Crystal, thanks for letting us see how it wears. And thanks for letting us know the yardage. I'm new, and have no concept of how much yarn to use, so I'm grateful for all the help I can get. Thanks again and love from Canada 🇨🇦 💜

This kinda reminds me of a vest I had back when I was a young teen 11, 12,13 somewhere around then, lol. It didn't have sleeves though. I really like the sleeves though, now that I am much older with upper arms that "wave "☺🤦‍♀️ I love the vest, Crystal ty for sharing this with us,and taking us down memory lane. ❤🌈🌹
As an added thought, I think
with long sleeves, warmer yarn, and make your Chocolate bon bon hat too, and have a matching set for fall!

Hi Crystal that is a lovely vest. I've been looking for some thing like that to make for when I go to the stores; doctor appt, etc cause some of these places are cold. So if I make me that vest I can use it and keep a little warm. That's great Crystal. Thank you for sharing this tutorial with all of us. Well this vest is now my number 1 item on my list of what I'm making, so pushing everything else back. So now I have to hurry to Michael's and decide what yarn and what color to buy to make me this vest. Again that's for this tutorial and this awesome vest. Take care and God bless you.

I'm so thankful you posted this.
