What I think will happen in Sonic 3 is Shadow and Gerald Robotnik will make an appearance in that movie (Gerald Robotnik being the creator of Shadow) and Shadow always talks about being more powerful than Sonic in Sonic X which means he could maybe beat Sonic, Tails, and possibly even Knunckles! That's pretty much all I think in Sonic 3 for now.

This was really fantastic! I don't think any other videos really went this in-depth with each Easter egg. Also the race car I believe is actually a call back to Sonic's race car bed he always had in the comics. I'm also glad to not the only one who thought the inflatable guitar was a call back to Sonic Underground.
one thing you missed is that the "red eye" that many of Robotnik's robots have, most prominently featured as the camera of his truck, is a reference to the mini-boss of Death Egg Zone in Sonic & Knuckles, Red Eye also, Sonic's racecar bed might be a subtle reference to the archie comics where, before the super genesis wave, sonic lives with his parents and sleeps in a racecar bed
I’ve thought of another reference. So, in the games when sonic defeats eggman by either spin dashing into him or jumping on him, he’s in a spinning formation which is exactly how he delivered the final blow to robotnik in the movie (After hitting him with a spin dash attack, it ended the fight between them and sent eggman into the ring portal). Don’t know if it was 100% a reference, but in my opinion it seems like it could be.
It's crazy how carefully the directed planned everything out to have easter eggs from most games in the series. Just makes the movie a whole lot better
