I wouldn't want to try to diagnose this depiction of Sonic. But I can say that I cannot help but love this depiction. Maybe it's the fact that he's more impulsive, and yet more curious and more insecure (due to having strict parents, at the VERY least) makes him a generally more relatable character in my eyes. Besides, the art style is just SO adorable.
An incredibly creative and fun idea to base this off the mastersystem version of Sonic, and it has yet again lead to a fantastic and highly enjoyable piece of animation. Keep up the good work, and have a nice day.
This sonic feels like a feral hog and I love it, absolute carnage with this guy What really separates this parody from all the other ones is that Sonic here isn't some insane crackhead, or has world-ending super powers the likes of that of TerminalMontage, which isn't bad, I love his parodies, but here something about Sonic being a young hedgehog with a mom and bedtime, who is curiously playful, and just wants to eat, gives off a sense of groundedness that's hardly ever seen anymore with these animated parodies. It's weirdly nostalgic and self-contained, and I like that feeling.

Eggman was initially meant to be the protagonist before Sonic, so part of the "human character with a massive mustache" was a gimmick they'd thought of to compete with Nintendo. I wouldn't say Eggman is meant to parody Mario, but he was definitely designed with the consideration of his popularity.

Funny how Eggman is just trying to get some work done while sonic just ruins his day. He's actually friendly towards the hedgehog at the beginning, but proceeds to fear him knowing sonic could beat him up or interfere with his day job at any given moment.
What memories this animation gives me, Tectoy also distributed the Master System to our market (Argentina), precisely with the integrated Sonic 1, this one is very well made and has many nostalgic vibes, I admire this work, I loved it.
