I just built a pc for my daughter using this motherboard and AMD 3200g. 3600 ram can be safely clocked to 3200mhz @1.35v. Beyond that and it crashes. I'm going to take your advice about additional cooling for the VRM. Great content! Keep it up!
Thank you for watching! Hope it works out for you! Yeah the 3200g being a Ryzen + CPU (think 2000 series) 3200 is more appropriate speed for it. The Ryzen 2 (3000 series and 4000G series for APUs) will be able to handle 3600 speeds and above much better.

@@zachbrindley6632 It's possible. wifi cards can be pretty small. So the 1x slot is under the GPU. As long as that's not fully covered you can use a 1x wifi card. If you have a x4 (i think that's right) then the bottom slot would work.
@middle of nowhere - I need your help since you’re the only video with a full breakdown. I have a 240mm CPU cooler with ARGB/RGB (3or4pin). Can I make this work even with the 1 CPU LED RGB 4 pin? Can I just daisy chain the fan lights into the systems lights and run a splitter for the dual fan? I need help or I’m returning this. Liked & subscribed! Also this video is awesome!
If your fans are 4-pin RGB they will work with this motherboard. You can either daisy chain them if they have that capability or get a splitter and plug them into the splitter and then the splitter into the mobo. You can or mix argb (3-pin) with rgb (4-pin). You’d need separate connectors. Hope that helps and thank you for the view and sub!!!

Excellent video very well spoken too. I have one of these on the way for many of the reasons you listed. I'm the kind of person who has a fairly limited budget so while I'm buying all new things their basically 1.5 gens old because there's no way am I spending $70 more for a CPU just for a 0.2Ghz improvement I did want a 3600 DDR4 ram but I also needed this Mobo for it to plug into. Nice! Thank you for watching. Glad you're satisfied with this board. My goal is to try and do builds for the more budget restricted folks without going crazy! I have the b450m DS3H V2. I have a Radeon RX 580 on the PCIex16 x16 as you suggested (which is blocking the PCIe x1 completely) and I don't have (nor plan to use) another graphics card to use Crossfire. My question is: can I use that second PCIex16 x4 for something else? In that case, what?
Can i put a rx 580 on it with a wifi card or will it not fit, also do it has onboard sounds or no, would i need to buy speakers/sound card for it. Tyyyy
It's possible the wifi will fit on the bottom slot but the GPU may interfere with the 2nd slot. You don't need to buy a soundcard but the onboard audio codec/chip is pretty bottom quality. You may want something like the Creative Soundblaster X7 external (usb) amp and dac and then connect speakers to that.
Great question, what are your needs, what do you plan on doing with it, and what's your budget? Answering that will help you know which motherboard to get. I'd prob go with the Asrock B450m Pro4 tbh since it's comparably priced and has some heatsinks.
I think for this CPU you’d be better suited to getting a B550 motherboard so you can take advantage of PCIe 4.0 GPU and m.2 slots, which B450 does not have. I don’t think I’d recommend this motherboard for that cpu.
There are ways to have RGB or ARGB even if your motherboard does not have the headers. Things like Corsair or Lian Li fans which have hubs that don't use the 3 or 4-pin connectors, and also SATA powered and USB controlled (for data) hubs are also available.
There's only an RGB header, so no ARGB. I do not know of any conversion type cables. However, you can use ARGB items even if the motherboard doesn't have a header if those items has a hub that itself gets plugged into a USB 2.0 header and is powered by SATA or Molex.
No. An i3 10th gen CPU is made by Intel. This is an AMD motherboard and would require a Ryzen CPU that is compatible with the AM4 CPU Socket. My recommendations for this motherboard would be an AMD Ryzen 2700X, 3600, 3600X, 3700X, 5600, 5600X, or 5800X or 5800X3d.

Get a 500GB or 1TB drive to install your OS and then some programs and files. Get an additional SSD or platter/rotational hard drive for mass storage. For graphics card consider a 1660 Super, an RX 5600XT, or a 3060 when that is released later in February 2021.
Hi Im just wondering. My PC have this motherboard. Im looking for the second M.2 SSD Slot but I cant see it. How can I add another M.2 1TB SSD if theres no 2nd M.2 Slot?🤔
Do you mean the USB port for flashing the BIOS? Since there's no BIOS flash button on the board, I don't think you'll need to worry about which USB port you use when you do it. A dedicated port is usually only needed when a button is available and you can update the BIOS without a CPU or RAM installed. Since this mobo doesn't that, there's no dedicated port.
@@MiddleofKnowhere thank you very much in any case I didn't think you were going to answer me but in any case thank you for your answer and I learned yesterday that in fact there is not necessarily a need for a dedicated port as you said and if there are spelling mistakes it's normal because I use Google translate because I speak French but in any case thank you for taking your time for me
It supports crossfire, but not SLI. Not even sure how it supports crossfire, also don't waste your money on using 2 gpus. Put that money towards 1 good GPU and/or a better motherboard.

Out of the box that motherboard won’t support a zen 3 (ryzen 5000 series) cpu. You’ll have to see if there is a bios update for this board to support a Ryzen 5800 cpu.
do you know how to connect three fans to the motherboard and psu using a hub ?? the hub i have does not have a sata power connector. The fans i have are darkflash dr12 pro
Hi and thanks for watching. Yes, to connect 3 fans, you'll need a hub. I bought a cheap hub for like 6 bucks that has 4 or 6 connections. Plugged that into the mobo, then put the fans on the hub. Check out this video where I use that motherboard in a build: th-cam.com/video/IxFj8kB24As/w-d-xo.html
@@MiddleofKnowhere Is there a way to make them compatible? I bought this motherboard and the Ryzen 5 5600G after reading somewhere else that they were compatible. But now I'm not getting any display, keyboard, or mouse when I turn the computer on.
That is weird. Do you have gigabyte’s lighting software installed? Also it may be turned off at the bios level for whatever reason, or maybe they have later versions that don’t light up. No idea. If it’s new it may be worth contacting gigabyte and asking.
I’d get a b550 board for a 5600 to take advantage of the PCIe 4.0 features the cpu offers for a pcie 4.0 gpu and one of the nvme storage spaces. Even if you don’t use those things now, the option will be there to upgrade.
@@shashotodipro6678 Whatever software you use for your solution should have a color changing mode. I'm just saying there's a difference between 12v rgb and 5v addressable rgb. This may be a moot point since the DSH3 only has 1 12v RGB header so you'll only be plugging into that unless you have something like a corsair commander pro or nzxt hub and are using those solutions.
You can't really expect much from a 72.99 motherboard (well $69.99 msrp but realistically $72.99-77.99). I'd have liked to have seen 1-2 more fan headers. USB 3.1 Gen 2 at this price point just isn't going to happen. 5v argb over 12v rgb would have been a better swap. I can't speak to the quality of the vrms but yes only 1 heatsink is a bit inadequate. You bring up a good point about audio controllers. @@MiddleofKnowhere thank you very much in any case I didn't think you were going to answer me but in any case thank you for your answer and I learned yesterday that in fact there is not necessarily a need for a dedicated port as you said and if there are spelling mistakes it's normal because I use Google translate because I speak French but in any case thank you for taking your time for me
does the LED _CPU header support fractal Primsa Fans ARGB connection? Can i connect it to this header
I believe it’s a 4-pin header and argb is 3-pin.
can i use 2 gpu in this motherboard? I am using ryzen 5 2600.
It supports crossfire, but not SLI. Not even sure how it supports crossfire, also don't waste your money on using 2 gpus. Put that money towards 1 good GPU and/or a better motherboard.
Can it support NVME?
Yep it has an nvme slot.
I currently have this and I have a SSD installed, however i need more storage space, can i add another ssd?
Hi, yes you can install another SATA SSD. The motherboard has 4 SATA ports and 1 m.2 slot that will accept SATA or PCIe NVME drives.
Hello Sir! Why the orange light of my mobo blinking? Model b450 dsh3, r5 2600 cpu, geforce 1660 super gpu. Thank you!
I'm unsure why it would be blinking, but you may want to check any lighting software you have.
I’m not sure if it had that sticker on the box I bought it for my friend he did not have the box but I was wondering if without the update if it will support ryzen 7 5800x 8 core 16 Thread processor and if not how do I see if it has the update
Out of the box that motherboard won’t support a zen 3 (ryzen 5000 series) cpu. You’ll have to see if there is a bios update for this board to support a Ryzen 5800 cpu.
8:33 display inputs , are outputs!
hi! is the b450m ds3h v2 good enough for a r7 5700x as it's only a 65w tdp cpu? I'm looking to buy this board.
Should be yes, but maybe consider a b550 for the pcie 4.0 capabilities if you want to take advantage of those.
@@MiddleofKnowhere thanks 😊 I'm only using an RTX 2060S atm so don't suppose i will be gaining much from PCIe 4.0. I'll just get the b450 then
Sounds good! B450’will def save you money. Just realize this board is very much a budget board in terms of features and power delivery.
Does this motherboard have support for aura sync?
Nope as it's a Gigabyte board
Can i change the colour of the audio noise path strip
My case came with a 3 pin rgb cable, what should I do since this motherboard has 4 pins?
You'll need to either buy a 4-pin cable, or get a hub to be able to use the 3-pin ARGB cable. These are not cross-compatible.
Damn:/
do you know how to connect three fans to the motherboard and psu using a hub ?? the hub i have does not have a sata power connector.
Rgb header?
does it work with the ryzen 1600x without a bios update?
Yeah it ought to just fine.
I have a question... is it compatible with Ryzen 5 5600g?
It does not look like it. You'll want a b550 or x570 motherboard.
@@MiddleofKnowhere Is there a way to make them compatible? I bought this motherboard and the Ryzen 5 5600G after reading somewhere else that they were compatible. But now I'm not getting any display, keyboard, or mouse when I turn the computer on.
The audio noise guard with led, does it light up? If it does mine does not light up.
I can’t remember if it did or not. I thought it did. I know the one on the b450m aorus does.
@@MiddleofKnowhere I searched on Amazon, and it does work. So, mine doesn’t light up for some reason.
That is weird. Do you have gigabyte’s lighting software installed? Also it may be turned off at the bios level for whatever reason, or maybe they have later versions that don’t light up. No idea. If it’s new it may be worth contacting gigabyte and asking.
@@MiddleofKnowhere I do have gigabytes lighting system, and I did turn off the light and turn it back on. Nothing. I am the version F1 for the bios.
@@MiddleofKnowhere I might just return it, thank you so much for your help. 😀😀😀
tem bluethoh ?
Does this board work well with amd ryzon 5600 cpu ?
I’d get a b550 board for a 5600 to take advantage of the PCIe 4.0 features the cpu offers for a pcie 4.0 gpu and one of the nvme storage spaces. Even if you don’t use those things now, the option will be there to upgrade.
This board support to i3 10th Gen processor
Can you only have static colors ysing the rgb header on it?
You can cycle colors but you can’t have multiple colors at once on one rgb object like with addressable rgb products.
So it doesn't change colors automatically and i have to select the color everytime i want to change?
@@shashotodipro6678 Whatever software you use for your solution should have a color changing mode. I'm just saying there's a difference between 12v rgb and 5v addressable rgb. This may be a moot point since the DSH3 only has 1 12v RGB header so you'll only be plugging into that unless you have something like a corsair commander pro or nzxt hub and are using those solutions.
How many RGB fans can I connect to this motherboard?
I've added timestamps so you can now jump to the RGB Headers section of the video.
Does it have RGB support
I go over the RGB support at 04:26
is 12v rgb pin on the top or on the bottom?
I talk about the RGB headers at the 04:25 mark.
Is this fine with a 3070?
You can definitely use it with one, but I'd urge you to get a b550 chipset board so you can take advantage of the PCIe 4.0 speeds.
❤👍
Does it have a Argb header.
Check around the 4:25 mark for rgb info
Does it supports NVMe ssd...?
Sure does. the M.2 slot supports both SATA and PCI nvme SSDs.
Does this have a system led pin
Info over all headers in the video
bad vrm and vrm heatsink
no 5v argb header
only 2 fan header
no usb 3.1 gen2
alc 887 audio controller ( at least give 892)
You can't really expect much from a 72.99 motherboard (well $69.99 msrp but realistically $72.99-77.99). I'd have liked to have seen 1-2 more fan headers. USB 3.1 Gen 2 at this price point just isn't going to happen. 5v argb over 12v rgb would have been a better swap. I can't speak to the quality of the vrms but yes only 1 heatsink is a bit inadequate. You bring up a good point about audio controllers. Maybe I'll research them to see how they differ, it's not something that' really hit upon and any information we do get about them on motherboards is usually hyperbolic marketing mumbo jumbo.
@@MiddleofKnowhere At the price yes the board does its job but the only competition that it has is asrock b450m pro4 which fixes all the problems mentioned so that's where i made the comparison ( price may have increased but the asrock costs around $75)
@@sub0entity387 I agree with you. I did a video on the Pro4 as well. Right now it's priced around $82.99, if you can find it of course, which is the mantra of 2020 pc parts.
To me the DS3H is bottom of the barrel I have x money to spend and this still has 4 ram slots. Anything cheaper and you get stuck with 2 slots or go to A320, which to me is a no go as those boards just don't have any appeal for the prices.
But yeah with the DS3H priced so close to other boards, I'd recommend those other options first and only this if you're basically are limited in what you can spend.
no wifi/bluetooth either
bro i have this and i’m tired of 50fps what are the best pc parts this motherboard can support?
Your fps depends on way more than your motherboard and is mostly dependent on cpu, gpu, and ram
Hit that dislike button 2 times makes me laugh.
