    Was making bias tape a few weeks ago. I was inspired (lazy) and used my flat Iron! Works well. 🤣🤣

      lol yes lazy/inspired is right on par with the flat iron usage haha

    I am crazy over what you did with these dresses. I can not pick a favorite from this video because each is outstanding. I am 58 years old and I would love to still wear something like this. The problem with my built is that I am really heavy chested and need the support at all times. Maybe a low square neck might work but got to work these arm because isolation brought on the virus of extra weight. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

    Girl you put SO much effort into this video. Both flips were such unique and ambitious ideas that turned out so precious! I can’t decide which one i like more, but the open back is so pretty I may have to try it for myself! Also, despite having an actual iron, I’m totally gonna try using my straightener for cuffs/other narrow hems haha. My iron is huge and clunky so it would totally help! Loving your channel, it’s so refreshing to watch someone with a such sunny disposition who shares the same views as me in regards to the environment/life in general. Your positivity is so contagious, I’m looking forward to your next upload! Take care!

      AHH thank you so much!! ok seriously the iron is the best for the smaller sections, I highly recommend it lol wow you are so kind! thank you for the uplifting words!!

  • @blondietehdino

    When you can afford an iron I’d recommend the black and decker one it’s on sale occasionally but the price is generally $30. Best iron I’ve ever used tho (got the star of approval from my grandmother too so you know it’s good)
    Love the videos btw 💕

    • @WellLoved
      @WellLoved  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      blondietehdino lol it’s not about the money. I just prefer the flat iron to a real iron honestly haha thanks for the rec!

    What I absolutely love about your channel and your work is that its so relatable. I would totally use a hair straightener for an iron and use garments like that to replicate the pattern. idk. its just relatable and therefore makes it feel like I too will be able to accomplish gorgeous garments!

    super amateur sewing question: why facing and not a sort of rolled hem? you know, where you like...double roll a raw edge and then sew it? your flips turned out super cute, by the way!

    • @pattyashcraft4518
      @pattyashcraft4518 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Bias strips give and lay better. A rolled hem would not look as nice.

    • @WellLoved
      @WellLoved  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      not amateur AT ALL! I use both rolled hems and facing quite often. I like to use rolled hems on parts that don't need to lay as flat like certain hems or linings, but like Patty said, the facing just creates a more polished, clean final product. thanks for the question and sweet words! happy sewing!!

    • @nicoleosborn7187
      @nicoleosborn7187 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A rolled hem doesn’t work well on a curved edge like an arm hole.
