- hey hey! this thrift flip is a dream come true! I made my dream quilted top, and an adorable crocheted vest in this colorful diy clothing transformation!
thrift flips are my favorite way to update some not so cute thrifted pieces into ready to wear diy sustainable cuties. today I am taking a secondhand dress and quilt, chopping them up, and sewing them back together to create some one-of-a-kind works of art! it may be my best thrift flip yet, enjoy!

Girl welcome to the motherhood gang! Your body will never be the same but you created LIFE and style is meant to fit you, not the other way around (as you've been a fantastic reminder to me time and time again the last few years). So glad to see you back and creating again but also know that children = chaos at times so no stress if you're less consistent. Love you and your stuff anyway!!!!
Haha thanks! I’m very well aware of the bodily changes and wouldn’t change a single thing about them! They’re the most precious reminder of my little man, and I see no negative to it at all! Just need to get some new clothes - which is never a problem haha

Me pulling out of the donation box 2 thrifted Martha Stewart quilted pillow cases that I'd intended to do something with but didn't know what to do with 'em... Hello little cropped vest! 😍 thanks for the inspiration Adey!
OH! You can totally make a balaclava type bonnet with your granny square remnants - 1 for the top of your head, 2 squares coming down each side of your head over your ears and 2 down the back. Close up the front neck bottom with 1 more square to connect the lower left and right ear side flaps.
Yay! It’s the perfect thing to do with pieces you’re not sure what to do with!

@@WellLoved There is debate about whether it's ok to make clothes out of quilts. Some say no, it's history and someone's love and time and money. My opinion is go for it, especially if it was donated or is in rough shape. Give it more life the way you see fit

I have one of those old thread-crocheted tablecloths/bedspreads that are such impressive work, yet totally out of style. I’ve been trying to make it into a sort of khaftan-style thing to wear over a bright-colored slip. Beautiful old crocheted home-decor stuff makes wonderful upcycling material! I love your vest!

I have a beautiful crochet dress that I inherited but it’s too small for me. I hope I can figure a way to make it fit me with a thin liner underneath. I don’t really sew and have done very little needlework but I really want to do it, so I will try.
