    It's dim b/c you replaced a 6V series battery set up with a single 3V battery

    I’ve had to switch out some of my batteries for my red dots like that. Smart

    The cr2032's are rechargeable too! You can charge them with a 5 v source out of a computer, just watch them so they dont get hot! Simply break the circuit if they do, let them cool, and charge some more. Check the output voltage to determine charge status.

    I'm wanting to replace a CR2012 3V with a CR2016 battery in a watch, can I do that? My watch holds the battery with clips on the sides of the battery but not flat top of the battery like your car key has in the video.

    Works for me. I have one device that takes cr 2016 batteries. I have plenty of cheap cr 2032 batteries to feed my dependence on lighted hats to see into the deeper recesses of my lair.

      Don't trip over any of those books full of nefarious plans. That would be bad.

      Too late for that warning. I trip over stacks of them daily.

    Have you cut the working voltage in half in doing this? The 2 2016 batteries are in series so they provide 6 volts? Please don't laugh, I get confused easily these days! Thanks for the video!

      @HNXMedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, very good question. This works because we are dealing with LEDs which have a very low working voltage (less than 5 volts). So yes, we cut the voltage in half, but we didn't need all that voltage anyway.

      You did need the voltage to create the current needed to power it at its full potential and produce the brighter light. It's not as bright b/c it's not sufficiently powered. And it will only last 1/2 to 1/3 of the 2x2016 batteries producing 6V.

    Fine the led works...but doesn't 2x2016 produce 2x3 volts (i.e. 6 volts) on the contrary 1x2032 produce just 3v? Will this not damage the internal circuit which is expecting 6 volts (like car remote for example)?

      This is a temporary fix.

  • @pq1535
    @pq1535 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    This is totally BS. 6 volts is not 3 volts. The video is totally wrong and misleading. Please use basic science and understand why you do so.

    • @HNXMedia
      @HNXMedia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's funny. The light still works even since I made this video. Accept the fact that you might be wrong.
