Pope Anthony how do you get the lighting to do that? It’s not just the lighting because if you look at the pillars the right side is clearly higher and by the fangs of the snake looking door it’s clearly at an angle....
@@CamGold Okay, I have watched it and rewatched it. I don't know what you are seeing brcause either the camera is at an angle, or the boat is. The law of physics apply in that room. The pillars are the same size on either side of the canal and the water level is clearly even-you can't fake water. Like I said, either the camera or boat is at an angle and the alternating lights are throwing off your depth perception. That is why film makers and magicians use strobe lights.

Add a couple drops and I am there! 😂
Hunterbythesea that wont work, its a tow boat ride aka with a rope in the water that moves and the boats are attached to it. The ride is really awesome, it doesn’t need them(no way the would be able to add them), but you should come to the efteling, its a great park :))
Please no
God you need gunpowder in ur cigarette
^Moritz from Max and Moritz
A harem dark ride? I've seen it all.
6:28 can someone please try to explain how the room moved like that?
Simple lighting trick, nothing more.
@@The_Dudester well its not just the video i have actually been on this in real life last year and the room definitely felt like it was moving at an angle
@@CamGold From Star Wars:"Don't trust your eyes. They can deceive you." Wise advice.
I learned the same lesson in the military. Because of eyesight, people neglect their other senses. In the military I learned to heighten my other senses-entwine my sense of taste with my my sense of smell-use your tongue to enhance your sense of smell. I learned to entwine my sense of touch and hearing. If you are ever in a forest, with no one bothering you, hug a tree and put your ear to the trunk. You will hear the water flowing in the underground water table.
I don't get it, is there a story here or is it just "look at the middle east"?
Efteling doesn't use explicit storytelling in their darkrides: 'use your imagination'. It is another culture than Disney. In this case; you visit Fata Morgana, 'the forbidden city' as an uninvited guest, now apparently popping up in the middle of the jungle. In the end you wonder: was it real, did I escape, am I dead, or was it just a Fata Morgana? Was the wizard at my side? (Cause in the end he sends you to the light shooting 'snakespider'). It is al about creating an ambiance, taking inspiration from Anton Pieck's drawnings about 1001 Arabian Nights (and also the first Efteling designer).
I'm 42 now, in the year 2023, as a small child I already got into this ride. The Djin gave me the creeps, back then I only knew it as a giant and I was afraid of it.
1:58 On the column it says "Marrakesh" (مراكش), because everyone knows city of Marrakesh is situated next to a tropical jungle with snakes and crocodiles
In a Fata Morgana, it does.
なんかよく分からんけど楽しそう
こういう雰囲気好き
It is 100% to enjoy the athmosphere, indeed. And look around for details. You do not get to see everything unless you ride it at least 4-5 times :-)
thnx so awesome
What camera you used here??
if you're ever in the park i reccomend doing this one late, it's usually very busy in the mornings but very quiet after about 3 o'clock
EN QUE PARQUE FUE
efteling
Kinda reminds me of The seven voyages of sinbad at Disney Sea.
No is not
No but similar.
That is the best Disney "Dark ride Opera", ever. (It's 100% Japanese, by the way)
I miss the loud scary sound when the wizzard unlocks the gates.
this ride looks like it could come straight out of a Disney park
It's from the Efteling. Same quality, or better, as Disney
Fun fact, this park was actually built before the original Disneyland!
Unpopular opinion: this is better then any pirates of the Caribbean, although in this ride through the figures seem to be broken.
Dumb Nerd the technique for this animatronics are used with wooden revolving platforms. this technique was used back in the 80's, just like when fata morgana was built.
That's near our Hause! Near Fata Morgana there's a cuckoo workshop, a school and a restaurant! Max and I play jokes around there and drive our village to pure insanity.. which feels awesome! >:)
This ride has 130+ animatronics!
4:17-4:20 The Prisoner In The Cell Trying Not To Drown Was Generally Disturbed Me...
What if there's a Simpsons episode titled... Database Morgana (play on Fata Morgana)?
You could place this in a Disney park and nothing would change.
They’d probably force a story and IP 😅
