    Definitely a great jack. For those wondering about the weight, this comes in right at about 105lbs so it has a bit of weight to it which is a good thing because it's made of heat treated steel. They retail for 199.99 but you can sometimes find a specific coupon for them. The general use 20% coupon will not work on Daytona jacks fyi.

    • @NoneMechanic101
      @NoneMechanic101  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the information. I tried using a the general coupon. You are absolutely correct. It doesn't work for Daytona Jacks.

    I have found, in time the handle will start to bind up when you want to turn the handle to lock or release the pressure. So I add a dab of grease on the handel where it will start dragging and bind up.

    I've had this Jack for about a year now. I use it regularly. Like 6 times a week. It can lift some heavy trucks! I love it. Its starting to squeak now as I pull it. The wheels. I'm thinking of replacing my Jack once a year but I don't know how long this thing will last me.

      It just may need some oil

    • @michaelthomas2916
      @michaelthomas2916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If the wheels are squeaky, you can remove them and put some grease on the axle, or just spray them with some lubricant if you can get it into the crevices. If you take care of it, it should last 20 plus years. I've had a Harbor Freight ("Central Hydraulics") floor jack for 18 years and it's never given me any issues.

      @michaelthomas2916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@inmyexpression19 Good luck but yeah, if you take care of it, it should last you 20 plus years. There are some good videos on here if you want to skim a few about lubricating / maintaining them. In 18 years I've still never had to add or replace any jack oil (hydraulic oil). Most of the issues you mention (squeaks) can be solved by some spray lubricant or grease (although to get the front wheels off you likely need to remove the clip that likely holds the front wheels on).

    I just bought a Daytona 3 ton today (8/27/2020) on sale, not the long reach, but a rapid pump. And it is very good. Got it for $114. Also bought the Chicago Electric corded Impact Wrench at the same time. My wife used it and loves it. We had to replace our brakes before a trip (wow, almost let them go too far!) I have been lazy over the years and letting my car get serviced by others a bit too much. So with this new jack and impact wrench, that will get me to want to work on my own a lot more unless its just something beyond my abilities. I also have this 4 ton bottle jack from HF I had for several years that is very good. OH! And mine is also blue to match my new U.S. General 5 Drawer rolling tool box!
