OUR STORY SO FAR:
We are Cory & Kristen Williams and in August 2014 we made the long drive from Southern California to Alaska to move into our new home in Eagle River. Here we’ve had the chance to explore Alaska, experience lots of wild events, meet lots of great people and endure the extreme temperatures that the north is known for. On December 20th, 2014 we got engaged after our Polar Plunge under the Northern Lights then later married by our favorite lake on May 23rd, 2015. Then on June 23rd, 2016 we had our first child. A baby girl named Chell.

WHAT DOES "DudeLikeHELLA" MEAN?:
"Dude" is me, Cory. I am the dude. "Like" is a joining word which is used to express similarities and "HELLA" is slang for "a lot" or in my case, "the greatest amount". So together, "DudeLikeHELLA" means "The best me I can be".

Faith Hope Love i have a friend who works in an office, lots of other companies share the building. he's always telling us hikatious bathroom from a person he has named "Mr. Brownshoes". I have heard the term "butt weasel" bandied about in a well worded critique more than once, lol. always leaves us laughing but never too grossed out.

I'm not sure Cory realizes just how much he is a professional photographer. His solution to "not needing a pro photographer" is basically "have all the equipment and software required to be one."

yeah, and sometimes it is always best to just hire a professional photographer in the end.
Especially if you don't quite have the artistic talent of a guy like Cory. He can identify and bring out the beautiy of things around him easily and naturally, and I don't think he fully realizes quite what an amazing (and amazingly rare) talent that is.
and he can do way better! That was just a random deck shoot.
Love all the pictures, especially the one where Chell's is smiling! Close-ups of Kristen were amazing. Close-ups of Cory were funny...yet awesome.

THAT.IS.HILARIOUS! Fastest hand washing of all time....DAS BOOT. Favorites are the Chell pictures. So many expressions.
Seriously. My shoulders started to get all warm and felt anxiety kicking in when you were up on the ladder! Then got all tense (freaked out) when you hit your funny bone because all i could picture was you losing concentration on cleaning the gutter and plummeting down to the ground!! Whew...thankfully everything went smoothly 😊
I'm pretty good about not getting hurt. Even if I did fall, I'm actually trained to land safer. I used to be a stuntman and a wrestler.

DudeLikeHELLA On picture day in 3rd grade, I came to school in this cute lil dress and panty hose. Being 7, I never really wore panty hose except maybe at Christmas for church. Well those suckers slipped and scrunched all day, and I was constantly fidgeting, trying to make sure they stayed up. At one point my teacher had called me to her desk to discuss something, and the next thing I know I hear the whole class laughing behind me. I was so focused on paying attention to the teacher I didn't realize I had absentmindedly shuffled up my skirt and grabbed the waistband of my panty hose to tug them up into place! Soooo mortifying... I still hate panty hose...

I had already gave birth to my daughter. She was just shy of being one. and traveling back home to Oklahoma from Santa Cruz CA. and.... I needed to go to the restroom. (Kristen can probably tell you it's hard to hold it in when you're 8-9 months pregnant or after giving birth.) my dad was driving and every time we passed a gas station he would say "oh 10 more miles for the next one you guys can hold it." Keep in mind this is 23 Hour Drive. Eventually my brother also had to go really bad but we finally got to a gas station it was closed so my dad kept driving. If you were in the vehicle with us you would see how much we struggled! My dad was making fun of us as we bouncing and wobbled in the car! Eventually my dad pulled over to a rest stop with no bathrooms! I ran out of the car like speedy Gonzalez behind a dumpster did the old fashion squatand my brother behind a tree that was barely as thick as my arm.
And of course we both had to go into our suitcases and change. I'm pretty sure someone saw us but at the time. In the freezing cold I did not care
So be warned men. moms can't hold it in.
I lost a pair of underwear in McDonalds.:)
DudeLikeHELLA wait no I lied most embarrassing thing was when my daughter pooped in her diaper and it leaking through the side and it was all over my shirt and pants.... in the Taco Bell in Ridgecrest California where that boy that "licked" all those taco shells and his co worker took a picture that went viral making him famous for five minutes.
DudeLikeHELLA I was describing a pudding to a huge party of customers in the pub... and called it a party in my mouth. All the customers in both that room no half of the next room burst into a tidal wave of laughter. I WAS TIRED. I don't fully concentrate on what I say when I'm fully awake!!!
The Northern Lights were beautiful! But even better in person!!!
I think my fave was Cory standing behind Kristen, who's holding Chell.
at the end I liked all the photos that was cool with how you made the end of the video with still shots. also its in the intro or the end of the video but when your on the mountain and you have you drone with you that was a awesome clip you captured the essence of the mountain and Alaska

You know your fear of heights is bad when watching a video on TH-cam uploaded by of someone on the opposite side of the country climbing on a ladder makes your stomach sink with certain angles. Let alone the roof. lol.
Delta Knight IKR! I can't even do the stepladder to my tall shelves. I had to actually show the landlord the other day, here's me one foot off the ground, shaking and gagging.

suggestion to try and keep in mind for clearing off roof and the gutters out. LEAF BLOWER. simply haul it up after you're on teh roof, crank it and go to town. soooo much faster :P

They also make a skinny ice scoop looking tool, called a gutter scoop. Helps in tight places.

Cory check out Gutter Brush it's a long round brush that fits in you gutter, stops leaves from clogging gutter, don't know if its sold in Alaska, its on Amazon.

Have you tried those hose pressure things that are suppose to help clean out the gutters?
Suggestion build a viewing platform on top of the house and make a way to get to it from inside the house do this for taking photographs

Do you know what I love about your outside views. The sound of nature. There are times I think I hear the ocean but I think it's just the wind in the trees. It's so peaceful there. You also have a beautiful family.
You know, I loved the slide show of the photos that were taken, you ask which is my favorite and I'm gonna say ALL OF THEM, just because they are all great! Some are silly, and some are absolutely gorgeous and almost makes me think they were done professionally!! You guys rock and this vlog made my day, as always!!!
