Duuuuuude ! No Way ! I'm in a Dead Milkmen Video haha Dan was my favourite Guest, one of the most exciting moments of my life ! 🤩
I’m going with Dean here. Billy and Siouxsie, sometimes known as B & S, here shorthandedly referred to as BS, were musical geniuses then and really up until a few years ago when they joined up to record “That’s What Friends Are For” as “Icky Icarus and the Itchy Rich.” Saw this on VH1 last night. Classic.
Okay it took me awhile to get the joke but I finally got it. This is not serious at all, and goes right along with the humor of the Dead milkmen! But lately I've been listening to Beelzebubba nonstop and I honestly think it's a true punk masterpiece and one of the greatest punk rock records ever made.
Once again, so glad I got high before I watched.
I seen them great band punk rock girl is the best song. Period
OK. That was fun but it took me way, way too long to get it. This should have been an April 1st show.
I love old men.
Damn, I love these guys...
I caught this an hour after it was posted, hehe, funny stuff. That Kicked out of the scene thing is classic self serious mid 80s hardcore.
what a playlist :D thanks for the laughs :)
Fantastic episode guys 😂
You know, these guys had an assignment to come up with the greatest song in punk rock history and I don't feel like any of them took it seriously.
I miss this level of discourse among my punk friends from back in the day.
And also, watching Dan try to hold it together was priceless.
these guys are entirely missing the classic John Cougar Concentration Camp song "Wart Hog". It's not about the animal, which is a warthog...but rather it's a reflection on self restraint. Which really is the punkest thing in the history of forever.
I guess given the context, I can see why Rodney would pick Centerfold over their other more serious work like 'Duke Of Earl', but I'm surprised that nobody even considered one of my favorite punk anthems from 1982 - 'Put a Little Love in Your Heart' by the Circle Jerks.
I trust The Dead Milkmen implicitly. I see no reason to research these songs any further.
Hoodoo Wrong - Shunted, best Kiwi punk rock song forever ... Rodney funny made me laugh with description of Let's get physical
LIFE IS SHIT ... like life, the song has such peaks n valleys of humor and emotion, and the rhyming Know it with Shit is as bad ass punk move haha
my selection for greatest punk song ever is...mighty mighty bosstonez...amerika the bugleful...they put down the trombones for bugles!
I enjoyed Screeching Weasel, Murder in the Brady house.
Woily bully!! Come on! You have to play iti on ten!
I have that Graven Image record lol
This reminds me of how I argued with my dad up and down one time when California Dreamin’ came on and I said “oh it’s The Beach Boys!” and he corrected me that it was the Mamas and Papas. He thought I was a total moron, but my argument was rooted in the lyric to Punk Rock Girl and I just wouldn’t relent. Sorry dad. 😂😂😂
J. Geils went to Bernards High School, my alma mater.
I think they didn't include Dan on the memo.
PS so was it that looked so much like Siouxie-Sue, and danced to depeche mode?
I have to admit, I did not know the "In Botswana" fact. I will have to re-watch the Patsy Decline Part III. In addition, my mom is NOT a hamster. She's a gerbil. And, as they say in the Happy Flowers song, she ate all of her babies.
Louie Louie!
All excellent choices... I tried to listen to them again before casting my vote but could only find lame radio-friendly cover versions 🤔
Why can't I find any of these on Spotify? 🤔

Hey are you guys doing ok?
Great episode, Milkmen! Keep up the good work and thank you for keeping the scene pure!
I would humbly add a couple examples of real punkers who made a commendable effort to weed out the poseurs and defecate on the Woodstock generation after The Scene was co-opted by Tha Man:

London give birth to Punk, Detroit did.
Cheese is the one thing that is indestructible.
how much is your Blue Cross deductible?
Let me know if I'm wrong on this but it seems like the fact that roller derby mosh pits and cooking shows never coalesced is a great tragedy in punk rock. Maybe you guys would know if this is a precedent. If it isn't then don't worry about kicking me out of the scene I don't want to be here. 🥾👢
FEAR: Foreign Policy
Was this episode generated by AI ?
I sense a big conspiracy theory
HAHAHAH
I wish youth brigade did play that…
Hang on a minute.
Are you guys serious today?
This is why you never were in the scene and will never have enough money to buy your way into it…
Well if you have a lot maybe… like 200 dollars
Were they ever?
Wait a minute... Siouxsie Sioux was from England?
Don’t piss people off
@@mildred714 piss them for me, I may be delayed.
Hahaha,.. go buy the Siouxsie and The Banshees Photo Book from 1983,.. there is also a 1986 edition..
@@Vonhaugx I heard a rumor well I heard rumors that fleet wood Mac album. Middle eastern evenings.
😂😂😂
That was pretty fucked up. Nice.
Where is this Siouxsie and Billy duet? All I can find is the Elton John crap..
🤣
