In the mid 90s, they worked with Alice in Chains producer Toby Wright on Carnival of Souls - which some characterize as the band's attempt to get grungey. The album was actually shelved due to the makeup reunion, but after bootleg versions began circulating they released it in 1997 to little fanfare...
