I didn't hear a word you said, I was too busy sitting here slack-jawed, eyes glazed, absolutely mesmorized by your artistry. I'll have to watch it again so as to get your tips, but the eye-candy was well worth the viewing time! Absolutely exquisite.
Awwww. That’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever said in a comments section! Thank YOU for watching! If you haven’t already, join us on Facebook in our group Quilltopia.
This is one of the most informative quilling videos I have ever seen. I love…love your project and can’t wait to see the finished product. Thank you so much for sharing this video!
Simply amazing! I can't help to be hypnotized by this piece. Not only you are so good with your technique, but the combination of these happy colors are beyond beautiful. I can't wait for the final master piece!!! 😍
Oh dang, I didnt realize I was suppose to make the quilling project on top of another surface. I keep glueing it straight onto a piece of cardstock and then fighting the paper so it doesnt become mis-shapen (im new to this, just started quilling a week ago). I'm so glad I watched this video. Great info!!
Thank you for watching! This is exactly why I make these videos. I don't want folks to get discouraged and stop quilling! :) I also have a new FB group, feel free to join us! facebook.com/groups/661662918171758
found this a year after you made it, what a superb video!! Besides another being mesmerized by your creation which is very inspiration ...i want to do one now, you honor us with a fascinating amount of good tips. I now have this in My Save Video folder. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and knowledge.
Thank you! I was attempting to mimic an acrylic pour painting. ATTEMPTING is the key word. ;) Thank you for watching! Come join us on Facebook in Quilltopia. ;)
Thanh you so much for these exceptional technical information. I particulary appreciate the quality and clarity of your explanations. This comment does not express my appreciation for the generosity you are showing in sharing your knowledge. I don’t speak English very well, so please excuse my simplicity of expression. I am a french canadian and I am living in Québec province. ☺️
Thanks for the video! Been quilling for over 10 years and not once thought to use the kabuki brush and I never would have thought to pounce it not wipe it. How do you ensure your kabuki doesn’t get clogged up with glue? Dish soap and water? Also, if I don’t want my finish sealer to be glossy, what would you use? I always put my art behind glass but it would b handy to know which sealer to use. I’ve been using mod podge acrylic spray on some pieces.
Thank you for watching! Great questions! Since I use PVA (school glue), it cleans up with just water. The spray I use also comes in a flat finish. Any clear spray, no mater the level of gloss, will work just fine. Again, thanks for watching! Please come join us on Facebook in Quilltopia!
I love this video! I have learned so much. Question...when I turned my piece over and tried to glue it with a makeup brush like you did, the middle of my coils lifted up. What did I do wrong?
Remarkable video - You give so much valuable information and share your personal process exceedingly well. I've encountered some things you mention. In particular, I'm great with glueing my individual pieces together (last year's snowflakes for instance) and then I wanted to stiffen/seal them to work as lovely ornaments. Wow, I mostly ruined them all. I used modpodge on the back and the result was that all my open circles gave way and mostly became open completely. They curls simply gave up & disappeared. I'm hoping your video will be a big guide. So I must say, thank you ever so much for your beautiful detail and explanations. I hope my luck improves.
Awww. Thank you!! I hope it helps too! Small thin coats so the paper doesn’t get damp and your open coils will love you! Good luck! More videos are coming!
I just answered another quiller on a question and it made me think of your snowflakes. (heartbreaking when they get spoiled). Anyway, I have a video about an easy, quilled flower. In the video I show how to offset an open coil and I explain why. This may help with your issue...give it a look-see and let me know if it helps!

How long did it take you to get that far quilling .Just love your color variations .

I will put you in touch with that source n that group. ;) thanks for watching! I’ve been quilling for 30 years. This was intended to look like an acrylic pour painting.
Hi, I'm so happy I found you . I just started quilling and your information was truly great. I was wondering where did you find your quilling board or is it just a cork covered message board? thanks for your info.
I’m glad you found me too! If you go to my tools video I have links posted in the comments. This should also help save you some $$ since you can pick and choose what you need rather than kits.
Thank you for this video. I'm starting to get back into quilling after a long break from the artform and my biggest frustration was always that none of the books or online tutorials ever told you how to finish/seal a piece. Do you ever make jewelry? I'm wondering how to make it feel sturdy enough to wear without feeling like I'm going to smash it. Most glazes I've tried discolored the paper.
I don’t make jewelry but the principles still apply. Many folks in our Facebook group, Quilltopia, do make jewelry. Come join us there and ask away. We are a community of helpmates. ;) Thank you for watching!!

She is on UTube .
I'm not sure "expert" applies...lol. But, I'd try a craft glue first. If that doesn't do it, "Goop" brand makes several adhesives that have different specialties. The Craft version may do it, if not, I'd check your local hardware store (Ace Hardware, where I am). Goop has glues that are specific to the types of materials you need to adhere and they likely have one for Acrylic/plastics that would work fine. Good luck!! Let me know how it turns out!!
I always buy the individual packs. (the multi packs don't have enough of each color to suit me) Are you in the states? I am happy to share the links of where I find my supplies. :) Thanks for watching!

I neglected to say, that any glass shop can cut glass for you while you wait. Plexiglass is sometimes harder to find, but most cities will have a plastics supplier/manufacturer. In my case, I work with Stained Glass as well, so I'm going to cut a piece that I've had forever. :) I'll border it with copper and patina it to look black.
So very beautiful!!! Please don’t fill the whole board!?! There is a lot to be said for negative space highlighting a feature, and developing the 3D aspect, which creates a more impressive piece. But I’m sure you already know that from acrylic pouring!! Amazing work with such patience!!
