    I know this is an old video but I am just looking to start to incorporate quilling into my cardmaking. What is your glue and gluing method? I've been looking at a DIY glue sponge idea... curious what you have off screen for gluing the thin borders and such.
    And thank you for the great tutorial!

    Thank you very much.....a few questions please. 1. I did not see you glue the main shapes down.....maybe that part was not videoed. 2. Did you glue down the lovely blue coils you made for the first circle or just fit them in tightly? 3. for the rectangle shape (the 4th shape) seems you did not glue the end of coils, right? so we don't need to i guess. 4. what is the glue you use please. Thanks again for this helpful video.

    • @agnespaperandcrafts
      @agnespaperandcrafts  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the questions dear. 1. yes, they are glued. it was not videoed as i wanted to focus more on fillers. 2. The blue coils are glued; 3. you are right, the shapes used are open coils so no need to glue the ends; 4. i use white glue (pva glue) as they dry clear. Hope this helped you. Happy quilling!!

    How do you create your circle, triangle, and rectangle?? I try repeatedly, but my result are disappointing to say the least. I saw you make and place your borders. What sorts of difficulties, if any, did you encounter as you learned this?

    • @agnespaperandcrafts
      @agnespaperandcrafts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question. They were done using cardstock and not with usual quilling strips. Yes I too had that learning curve, but using cardstock is much easier than with quilling strips. Check th-cam.com/video/JtlamhzGgQg/w-d-xo.html ,which talks more about the outlining part. Hope you will find what you are searching for. Do try and leave your comments. How can i check that the paper I am using is how many gsm?

    • @agnespaperandcrafts
      @agnespaperandcrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our regular printer papers are around 80gsm. Pre cut store bought quilling strips are around 80-100gsm.
      Cardstock usually comes with mentioned weights.
      To know more about GSM, check my video on it

    • @agnespaperandcrafts
      @agnespaperandcrafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Avoid using chart paper or construction paper. Buy cardstock from art stores, about 120- 140 GSM which are easier while making coils. For on-edge work, you can use 165 GSM and above.

    what sizes are most used Quilling? ( paper sizes)

    • @agnespaperandcrafts
      @agnespaperandcrafts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually 3mm papers are used for quilling. And thickness of paper is 80-120 gsm.
      But for lettering (typography) and on-edge quilling, I prefer 5mm. Paper thickness will be 160-220 gsm.
