This is like when people tell me TH-cam Premium is a rip off... they just don't know how much better TH-cam is without it. $100 is 100% manageable, especially if you are buying a Tesla.
If I need to pay to block ads in the future then I will do so IN THE FUTURE. Not before. YT premium doesn't offer me anything I can't already do for free.
I liked the premium connectivity when it came with that radio station thing for free. I’d favorite songs and I could tell it what song to play. When that stopped coming with premium connectivity, I canceled.
I strongly believe there should be more selection than standard or premium connectivity, should provide 3 or 5 selection weighted appropriate prices range preference for consumers.
It's more tempting now to have premium connect since they intro alerts on phone in sentry mode. But still they limit 15min of viewing a day on your phone, even when using ASS! BTW, TH-cam music or any native app on the Tesla sounds way better than bluetooth from your phone.
I live in an apartment. It is really useful for software updates. I’d buy it just for that but also love sentry mode and streaming while eating or charging.
@ It downloads via WiFi. So, I either had to park close enough to my unit to connect, maybe with a WiFi extender or just get Premium Connectivity which uses the car’s cellular antenna.
@ No. That’s not true. It’s a common misunderstanding though. I have Premium Connectivity, have never connected my car to WiFi and have gotten every software update since I bought the car 1.5 years ago.
*Seriously yar I LOVE your presentation skills.* *Everything is short, to the point and nicely focussed to make it painless.* *Otherwise, every other TH-cam talks SO MUCH useless stuff, obvious stuff, TOTAL NONSES, TOTALLY unnecessary stuff and idiot level derailing from the video title, that you want to pull your hair.*
I think Premium Connectivity is worth it if you want to watch video streaming (Hulu, TH-cam, Netflix, etc.) and don’t have true unlimited data hotspot on your mobile phone. Otherwise, just your Bluetooth on your phone.
If you want to access your camera, windows, locks, pre heat/cold the car minutes b4 boarding, watch yr dog while in dog mode, turn on/off sentry mode. Ladyly, u cant have ASS. Basicalyy no wifi, no control
Actually, most of that is included in the standard connectivity package for 8 years I believe. Premium connectivity expands on that by allowing you to watch Sentry from your phone, and stream video/music content from your Tesla.
It's a $10 a month internet plan.. that's definitely not overpriced also you used exactly the same thumbnail on your video that you released a year ago. Do better
I think this was a fair review. Sentry mode is amazing. I do think if you pay for FSD you should get premium automatically.

youtube ads can be blocked for free on any device.
@ Spoken like someone who’s never used Premium, and who’s not aware of the changes coming specifically to ad blockers.

Android phones can use Bixby routines to automatically turn on hotspot and Bluetooth when you enter the car
$100 a year is well worth it to me!!
With most of the other automaker you pay 100$ or more just to have what's included for free in a tesla
Agreed, fair review and I think it’s worth it.

If paying for connecticity is worth it for any car, it‘s Tesla!
I wouldn‘t wanna miss it!
I live in an apartment. It is really useful for software updates. I’d buy it just for that but also love sentry mode and streaming while eating or charging.
Premium connectivity does not affect software updates.
@ It downloads via WiFi. So, I either had to park close enough to my unit to connect, maybe with a WiFi extender or just get Premium Connectivity which uses the car’s cellular antenna.
8:45 - But this video says that premium connectivity is not enough to do software updates. It still needs a WiFi hotspot for that. Is that true?
@ No. That’s not true. It’s a common misunderstanding though. I have Premium Connectivity, have never connected my car to WiFi and have gotten every software update since I bought the car 1.5 years ago.
@ ahh ok. Good to know. I live in apartment too. I think premium connectivity should be worth it then.
I think its worth just for the Spotify connectivity and being able to put on TH-cam for the kid in the back for long rides.,
Safety is pretty key!! 🔐🔐🔐🔐

I get premium connectivity for free. I don’t know who the hell else pays for it.
Your phone has premium connectivity
only with unlimited bandwidth plan, and it won't cover satellite map.
If you carry a phone
@@Trust_but_Verify you do realize that Tesla uses Google maps/Google satellite view for navigation, right?
@@RONderluck You cannot get satellite maps on the Tesla screen via hotspot from your phone without Tesla's Premium connectivity.
100% worth it
If you want to access your camera, windows, locks, pre heat/cold the car minutes b4 boarding, watch yr dog while in dog mode, turn on/off sentry mode. Ladyly, u cant have ASS.

Only remote view sentry mode camera and ASS need premium connective. The rest vehicle operation can be done remotely using standard connectivity.
@Trust_but_Verify u need to be close enough to use BL.
@Trust_but_Verify Bluetooth has a range limit.
Actually, most of that is included in the standard connectivity package for 8 years I believe. Premium connectivity expands on that by allowing you to watch Sentry from your phone, and stream video/music content from your Tesla.
Unlimited data alone woth premium connectivity for $10/month.
If you own a Tesla, $99 a year is nothing.
It's a $10 a month internet plan.. that's definitely not overpriced also you used exactly the same thumbnail on your video that you released a year ago. Do better
huh, were talking $9.99 a month, if one cant afford that you got bigger issues, lol
That’s exactly what he said way to be redundant bud
