We just did beautiful copper patina countertop for my kitchen with this product. We have one area of issue on the edge. Spoke with the office and watched this video. I'm confidant that we are gonna fix the issue with pouring clear and a bit of accent in the area of issue. Its gonna be awesome!
I have another question after I dig out all the soft spots on my existing epoxy now I have all these deep divots do I just pour the clear over and hope that it's going to level in those spots or should I fix the divots with polyurethane to level or use bondo filler to fill in sand it and then pour the clear
I'm doing a puzzle table. I thought it was completely cured but needed to sand out some bubbles and hit a soft spot with sander. Best option to salvage the project. Should I wait another day or so to see if it hardens and what suggestions if it doesn't?
If it's already been multiple days it more than likely won't cure. Try to scrape off as much as possible and repour with a clear. Be sure to mix well (don't beat it as this will cause bubbles) Switch containers in the middle of the mix (this ensures all your A and B is mixed well)
I poured a countertop about 4 years ago. I failed to realize I should caulk around the sink. Now the epoxy is curling up from the sink edge. What is the best way to correct this? I really don’t want to report the entire countertop. Could I just apply caulk now or should I possibly apply a clear epoxy to Affected areas and then caulk. Thx
I have a lot of wet spots that hasn't cured and I was told I have to sand the spots and lift it up. But are you saying you do not have to sand the entire countertop over, you can just take out the bad spots and do the clear epoxy to level it and just put back in your colors. Because the design that I have right now I do like it a lot and I don't want to report the whole countertop over because I might get a different design that I don't want.
Hi there. For the most part you can try to scrape up any uncured spots and repour ontop. Be sure to mix properly according to the package as we aren't sure what epoxy products you used. Here are our mixing instructions 👉 www.countertopepoxy.com/instructions/
@SupplyHaus1775 so I do or do not need to sand the entire counter before I pour the clear or I just need to sand the bad spots before I pour the clear over entire area?
I know it’s just my opinion but have you guys ever heard of “Less is More” The countertop was 🔥🔥🔥 until 5:18 when u added the extra veins the n put the roller over it 🤦🏾♂️would’ve been better if u would’ve just used the stick to widen the veins a lil and just left the roller off it.
After the epoxy is cured, the only way to remove dents is to do another pour to leave or to sand! But be advised, sanding will leave you with a matte finish.
im been searching everywhere, and i can't find a specific solution on how to fix pinholes, question does clear coat stick to epoxy without sanding the surface?
We advise a light sanding but this also depends on your substrate and what “issues” it has. Please give our office a call so we can provide the best approach for application on your project. 970-639-9338.
A polyurethane to protect it from the elements? I am doing a pour that is going to spend time outside in the elements. Want it to hold its color cause it's going to go into shows.
Yes be sure to call our office for more info he’s taking about our polyurethane that he designed to go along with our epoxy products as we have them tested .
I’m gonna have to do this. I thought I was gonna have to send it way down because it’s lumpy so at 1 o’clock up to put another coat. I’m so tired. I just got done with my doctors appointment. I’m going to lay down.
Hope you all enjoyed this video! Be sure to comment any questions and get featured in our next video!

If using our countertop epoxy a clear top coat will fill and level out.
@SupplyHaus1775 ok thank you

Can you use a heat gun in place of a torch?
Yes, we choose to use a torch because it doesn't disrupt the design as much, its cordless, and cool down of the torch itself doesn't take as long.

Does this work if you have some dimples in the first coat ?
Yes!

Does this product need to have lots of ventilation?
Our product is zero VOC you can find more information here www.countertopepoxy.com/fx-black-label-epoxy/

You could do a clear coat, just lightly sand beforehand. Make sure when mixing to Mix slowly to avoid as many bubbles as possible.
@@SupplyHaus1775 really appreciate the answer.
@ another question, which epoxy do you recommend to use it for carbon fiber fabric, do the countertop epoxy will work? thanks for your time 🙏
@@gcarlitossatunay2987 yes we have done a carbon fiber countertop before and we just used our FX Black Label Countertop Epoxy
really appreciate 🙏
So if I’m going to pour a clear coat over maybe a countertop that has some issues…, I don’t need to sand it at all first?
We advise a light sanding but this also depends on your substrate and what “issues” it has. Please give our office a call so we can provide the best approach for application on your project. 970-639-9338.
Do you guys have any Canada warehouses?
