I really like this game's quirky storytelling, so for now, I'm stubborn enough to try out more ways to make reading text on a screen fun to watch. This is a truly creative game that has dozens of surprises in the bag, don't assume you understand this game after watching 1 minute, 5 minutes, or even the entire video. The ride has only begun.
I absolutely love that you're giving it a try. I always like storytelling and especially things like the signs or little bits and pieces of text. They add so much to the game.
It's not just the "100,000 years later" It's the combination of the "100,000 years later 100,000 light years away" joke with the change in art style AND sudden voice acting. Just to throw people off guard
On the first night of my new life in Paris, I sat in an empty apartment on a thin mattress in the first place I ever rented, looking at a 42 inch plasma screen TV I bought with my first salary, and a laptop that was gifted to me at my graduation. One of the few games that I could play on that laptop was World of Goo. I spent many a nights on the floor trying to finish all the puzzles and find out what happens at the end. Might not be a gaming masterpiece but I'll always remember the game and the luscious world it plunged me into. Love & Peace from France!
@@Nostrite The green ones were part of the first game as well, so perhaps they made the "tutorial" for the green ones a bit brief. It doesn't take too long to figure it out even if you missed the context clues though

Very silly, but as a huge fan of the original I was like, why isn't the sign painter signing the messages!? And let out an audible "OH!!" at 21:45 "I am painting these signs, but I am not the sign painter". This game has its hooks in me
Yeah and it was def for the better that the devs chose to do that cause his story ended perfectly as the end of wog1 and I admire the fact that they chose to go in a more unique and original direction instead of doing what the fans desired. I’ve seen some of the custom modded chapters which bring back the sign painter and pretty much all of them end up having signs that are poorly written and/or out of charactee for the sign painter
I completed World of Goo 2 the first day it came out, it was a very pleasant experience given that I've played the 1st game recently to get all OCDs. Gonna love watching you beat it! If you decide to get all OCDs, get ready for a lot of unorthodox solutions, the first game was pretty hard with them, and there are 3 times more of them in the sequel.
I don’t remember ever playing it, but I do remember seeing a PC copy of it in a drawer next to our family PC as a kid when it would’ve been new (I was born in 2002), and for so many years I didn’t even know if it was a game or some sort of obscure movie/TV show. I did eventually play it a couple years ago and loved it, and I’ve already played through the sequel and loved it too
It wasn’t actually. It was made by 2dboy which has one of the same devs as tomorrow corporation (hence the similarities) and then they collaborated to make wog2. But the 2dboy and Tc games were always meant to be in the same universe regardless
You're just great at playing this game. I've played the first myself and you're somehow so good an combining explaining what you are doing with the fast paces bridge building. The text parts almost feels like relief from the non-stop aciton.
Finding out about this just after its release was an enormous surprise. It was like one of the last things I was expecting to see this year. Or any other, really.
Im so excited over world of goo 2, and SUPER excited to see it here!the first game is in my top 10 of all time. Somehow i missed that the sequel came out even though i had been watching out for a little while! I dont wanna spoil myself on the story yet, but ill be back to watch the videos once ive played the game for myself :D
Dropping by to leave a like and immediately bail before I see spoilers. World of Goo is an instant like, I just need to make time to play it myself before watching.
I still have CD with world of goo on the shelf above my desk, when I bought it I was expecting something decent but it was big suprise to me how fun this game was and it had story was something that I haven't expected at all, and music oh god music...
Commenting to boost engagement! I really hope Tyler ends up playing all of this game! I love world of goo 1, and I'm excited to see what the sequel holds!
@@DoubsGamingyes; 2dboy (the wog1 devs) and tomorrow corporation (the little inferno devs) have the same person in charge of coming up with ideas for gameplay art and story, and the two companies collaborated to make wog2
The first chapter seems so similar to the first game. Sure it adds cannons and such but I mean the entire storyline is the same. The end level is somewhat easy but cinematic, there’s an animal thrown in one of the middle levels (a squid this time instead of a frog/toad thing). This brought back some childhood memories, I used to play the first game on one of the computers in my local public library and I have the game on my epic games account and used to have it on an old Steam account. I love these games.
Same! I played it on the library computers as a kid too! The library had a timer for how long you could play a game for before you had to get off and let someone else use it so i always played some of the same levels over and over again, and got speedy at them Memories i forgot about smacked me in the face bro-

First pegging returned with full force, and now we are playing with balls again after all this time. Tyler won’t stop pleasing us with his big content
It's exciting watchig him play with this huge things!
If things continue like this we boutta play world of goon
Can't wait to see him get his goo all over the place
It’s almost as big as his personality :D
What's next? balloon tower defense?
"A 100,000 year later"is a crazy thing to just drop into a cutscene
And a '"100,000 light years away" makes it a perfect joke

It was a good game! I enjoyed it too!
The timeline in the beginning is perfect, only the most important things on it!
did the game not teach about mechanics for green balls though?
@@Nostrite That was taught with the whole joke about tugging on the sack in the first few minutes of the video.

This game has the exact same vibes as the original. Truly amazing sequel.
Please, don't skip the text on these, they always crack me up.
This game is less funny than the original, its kind of off-putting
Oh my god its been 16 YEARS?

The editing on the signs is very funny thank you editors
World of Goo 1 is probably the latest game that I remember having "always" been there. Wild.
editors went crazy on this! and what a time to be alive, world of goo 2 before gta 6 fr. my childhood cinematic universe has been expanded upon.

LET’S GOO!! I just completed all of the challenges for this on Saturday (it was tough) and so excited to watch you go through the game.
Imagine if world of goo was one of the first games you've ever played
I don't have to imagine.

this captures the vibe of the old game so much, you could've told me it was and I would've believed it.
Faster than I thought, less than 10 days needed
The original game had me hooked as a child. I can't wait to see this one!
I love World of Goo! So happy to see you playing the sequel, I can't wait to see what this game has in store
I know this wont have that many views but please keep it going!
I remember playing this when I was younger, thanks for unlocking this completely forgotten memory
I really enjoy the text reading, I think the editing is fun
I won't spoil anything, but as someone who has beaten this game, I can say that both the story and gameplay are awesome!
I LOVE world of goo i’m so excited they made a sequel, i really hope you keep playing!
On the statue level, those were green balls. Try to remember that they have different mechanics from the basic black balls.
I don't care how much reading text on a screen this game has, I'm gonna watch this whole playthrough
Man what a nostalgic rush, i forgot that this game conpony made this series! Im excited to see where theyll take it
I've already played and i love it. Some people say that there is nothing new compering to the previous game but hey first one was a banger too
Those people don’t know what they’re talking about
Finding out about this just after its release was an enormous surprise. It was like one of the last things I was expecting to see this year. Or any other, really.
The first game had the perfect dreamy vector landscape aesthetic and a perfect music score to accompany it. I hope the second one matches that.
i remember playing the original world of goo on the computers at my local library, good times.
I love the little bits of tylore we get every once in awhile
No way! This game IS my childhood. Definetly will play it myself
Best Soundtrack: "Ode to.." all of its variants.

not even a minute into the video and editors are already showing off 🔥🔥

I absolutely love this charming little game.
YOOOOO WORLD OF GOO TWO! dident even know they made a second one! TY for the satisfying content you create!!!
i haven't seen any spoilers yet but to me the voice acted narrator's planet feels a lot like the little inferno world

pretty sure it's the same dev but I could be wrong
That’s the point as it is likely the same world which in turn is earth

I practically grew up with this game, I'm so happy to see it getting a sequel!!
IKR?! I remember playing this on the library computers!
They have the first game on a kids computer at my library and I have loved this series ever since

The storyline is NOT the same at all as the objective and ending are completely different in the first chapter’s case
3:13 bro you sounded like that "nononono" cat video thingy
I wonder if the gooballs still say "Gelato!!"
Man, it feels like last month I was watching Tyler Goo for the first time
I remember playing the first world of goo at my public library. Fun times
I understand not going for time but the other bonus objectives seem fun! Tyler should try a few
Yes! I've been waiting for this!
Hope to see all the chapters :D (and maybe the OCDs if you're willing)
this brings me much joy
Holy moly one of the best games i got to played when i was young
19:06 to get OCD here, just slowly pop off each green goo ball
We got world of goo 2 before GTA 6
Glad to see Tyler back on Polybridge
I LOVE WHEN TYLER PLAYS WITH BALLS
YOOO I WAS HOPING YOUD PLAY THIS GAME!
Im a massive fan of wog and wog two, cant wait to see you play it!
LETS GOO. I remember playing the first one and being sad when I completed it.

Please do keep playing and keep reading its great i love it and i love the game enough to ‘put up with’ the dialogue
This is great :3
