These are the kind of days that make me feel better about being too scared to sell covered calls.
Just sell them way above the stock price weekly. It has barely any chances of getting assigned.
Maybe choose a more stable stock for your option strategy, preferably one with good dividends

On the 18th with Tesla stock at 215 I told my FB friends that it would be at 350 by mid October. People have no idea how great the Cybertruck is going to be, and then the Model 3 refresh, and I am perhaps optimistically saying that v12 will hit public release by then. And it is NOT going to be a BETA.
I largely agree but FSD v12 is a rewrite and I hope Tesla make sure it’s super reliable before prematurely announcing a full release

There is so much hype and coverage of the CT now and unfounded rumors that a few select buyers are already taking delivery, that I hope the officially release event doesn't get too watered down.

Building DOJO for Tesla FSD training has about the same costs as building another gigafactory. Tesla just spent more than US$300 millions to build the 4th largest supercomputer / AI cluster to train its FSD s/w.

Could be a 20 billion dollar business until the end of the decade? So starting 2024 , 6 years away you don’t include that they are getting 3.3 billion usd year over year ? Or did they mean not until 2030 we can start counting 3.3 b and forwards ?
Sounds easy, and like taking sweets from babies.
But this has taken an extremely long term vision, and an an unimaginable amount of hard work by many many people at Tesla.

I get the impression that a large share of CT purchases will be made by current owners trading in the current Tesla‘s. I am hoping my 2022 X plaid will be a straight up swap. I’m currently about 100,000 on the list maybe a year from now?

Rivian and Lucid should not be compared to a mass producer. You can compare the vehicles but not the companies.

Why are people so exited? The stock has been doing this all year... It even reached 290 at a point... It will most likley drop again, and the stock is still below what it was in the beginning of the year.
The stock isn't below at it was in the beginning of the year. The beginning of the year (january 3rd) the stock was at $108.10
