      Also realistic how ENTP remembers INTP's preference. We do that with ppl we care deeply about. But when it comes to our own preference...we just don't know most times, everything seems exciting XD.

    I loved this skit! I think the INFP sketch was especially accurate, I think people rely to heavily on the Fi stereotypes and ignore the Ne which is just as big a part of us and our personalities. It’s nice to see someone showing how much Ne we really have! Good job!

      I'm an ISFP who's finally gotten my long-time INFP bestie to begin letting out her Ne around me (most learn to conceal it at an early age, sadly), and while my brain cannot truly keep up, it's so fun to hear her unleash it and just let loose with the idea-spinning! It's beautiful! I would love to see Kristin do a video on the shared-dominant-trait types getting along! (The Fi-Fi kinship of ISFP and INFP for example!)

    • @farrex0
      @farrex0 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Well technically, the ISTP did judge the idea at least, by saying it was terrible. But went with it anyways.
      High Se users are truly fascinating creatures. They can tell their ideas are terrible, but they do it anyways... Meanwhile me as an Ne dom, have terrible ideas, and just spend hours talking about them or speculating of the consequences without ever acting upon them, lmao.
      Si anecdote time.
      I remember a video of a group of people going on top of places, and they used an slim piece of wood as a bridge, while they were like four stories above ground. One of them says before crossing, "This wood looks way too slim, it might break" and another person said something along the lines of it being a terrible idea. And somehow without a second thought, hesitation, or even saying anything else, everyone simply crossed that improvised bridge, lmao. Like they said it out loud, they knew it could break, and they still trusted their life on that slim piece of wood.
      My ESFP brother once, wanted to clean the shower, because he "felt like it was too dirty" and nearly killed us. Even tho the shower got cleaned twice per week, but well, if he feels something, it is extremely hard to convince him otherwise. Also, if he feels something, he has to act NOW, so of course, he did that at midnight....
      He almost killed all of us, because he started mixing every single cleaning product we had, and threw it in the shower... But using small amounts is not the way he operates, he threw full liters of chlorine, bleach, acids, etc..... Suddenly the smell began to expand all over the house, and thankfully we noticed, so we had to leave. Of course, he told no one he was going to do that, he simply felt like it and did it. When confronted, he was like "Yeah, I knew it could kill us, but that is why I left the bathroom window open". He was aware that mixing all those chemicals was dangerous and did so anyways....
      He has done plenty of things like that, where he is fully aware of the consequences, but does it anyway... and then somehow is surprised when the consequences happen.

I've had a baby this summer, so he's obviously occupying a lot of my time and attention, but I still make time to watch every Kristin video and give at least a cursory scan over the comments. Anyway, yikes on that last story!!!! My Se definitely does not work that way, at least not to that extreme, so I would say that's probably a great example of inferior Ni (being unable/unwilling to face the realities of the possible consequences in the outcome of their actions). I have an ESTP sister and she frequently consults my ISTP mom and myself (an ISFP if you recall) to get our take on whether her plans for daring Se experiences are gonna play out well in the long run, or not! INTJ - Reliable, trustworthy romance. That's what you just witnessed. Two people who both feel very strongly about being able to pursue their own business (which is like a passion), showing that they respect each other's need to pursue it without being interrupted, while at the same time already beginning to take into account a possible future where they trust and care about each other enough to integrate each other directly into those pursuits and passions, and give equal priority (meaning top priority) to them. And saying so! That already requires a certain level of trust and committed interest!
      There are plenty of people in my life I care about deeply who will never see beyond the surface of my personal business, because I know they might screw it up for me, well-meaning or not. True partnership requires true trust, and that's more valuable than any "butterflies," or time-wasting games, or mindless pining that does nothing but distract from important matters and build anxiety.

    As an INTJ, this was incredibly accurate, perhaps because of it’s subtlety. Whenever I talk with my INTJ friend, we tend to speak somewhat formally and efficiently. I’ve been told I speak formally by most people, even when I think I’m speaking casually. Some people find it intimidating. But it’s frankly it’s enjoyable to be formal and efficient, to the extent most of the time I simply chose to remain silent, as speech is unnecessary, choosing instead to reside in the realm of my thoughts, a witty place if I do say so myself.
    I also constantly think of various ways to accomplish tasks and goals, big and small, and contingencies for areas of uncertainty. I like to know that whatever happens (within reason) I have at least a framework of a plan that I can easily adapt to. As much as I love my plans, they often don’t survive contact with the enemy, but it is the planning that is invaluable, whether it be a complex war game, or studies, work, etc. It can be a curse as well as a blessing though. That’s where recreation, such a reading, can help. Reading in particular has made for a most rewarding form of recreation.

    • @halluciation1432
      @halluciation1432 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @anonymous247n INTJ here, both paragraphs make sense.
      That second paragraph is very true at least to me, the planning stage creates at the very least a framework that is immensely important because even if the actual plan doesn't survive contact with the enemy the framework is there and you can adjust everything in it as things are changing in real time. Think of it being like a cube frame and an inner filling that fits as a whole into a slot, but somehow due to unforeseen changes that cube needs to fit a cylinder through it so you change the inner filling but keep the frame.
      I wouldn't really consider it a curse, although sometimes it does become a problem to constantly be thinking.

      @ Luna Moonlight
      Well, I have a small suggestion for you as well of “before you type” variety.
      Paying attention to the wording of the comments in which ppl identify with the types in videos can go a long way. When ppl “identify” with type representations in skits that are totally off, one can tell those ppl are clueless about the very types they think they identify with.
      Apparently, Ni has been wasted on you (if you are truly INTJ, that is), but still, thinking and, most importantly, understanding the point of the comment to which you are reacting before you type may prove rather helpful.

    • @zzc8505
      @zzc8505 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sunchips
      I agree with your point - infj/intj tend to be among the types that find mbti interesting.
      However, the way ppl identify with infj in Kristin’s skits strongly suggests that many of them are essentially clueless. Kristin has strong acting skills and is very creative, but, unfortunately, most of her infj , esp. for the past year or so, miss the mark, so to speak.
      Granted, such skits are bound to rely on general characteristics and stereotypes, still there are some key aspects of infj (or any type, but I can only speak for infj in this context) that just should not be missed for the portrayal to be fairly accurate and funny. She seems to be reaching mostly for the low hanging fruit all the time, constantly zooming on Fe mostly. I understand that it's the easiest way, but it makes many of her infj devoid of authenticity.
      Her early infj were ok and some even funny when her vids were very short, but in these longer/situational skits constant focus on Fe-related traits no longer works. Not only did it get old, but it's just not infj, really. First off, Fe is auxiliary and a tool for Ni, Fe is not the goal in itself. Moreover, Ni-Ti is very powerful, and their Fe should be considered in Ni-Ti context, not in isolation. It matters in which slot functions are. Portraying infj as some Fe-doms/softer-speaking enfj or smth is incorrect, and just plain not interesting.
      Anyways, I don’t want to write a short essay here. It’s just that when so many ppl identify with inaccurate portrayals/even stereotypes of a type, in this case - infj, it’s safe to say they aren’t infj, really.
      Even for a stereotype to be fairly accurate one has to show a few key fundamental features encompassing the entire personality, not just one overblown Fe as in Kristin’s infjs.

      This is something I've found to be true as well! Without meaning to, those with my 4th function in their 3rd slot tend to stress me.... Whereas someone with the same dominant function feels like a kindred spirit despite any differences in the middle functions. (I'm ISFP and love INFPs, for example.) It's super fun to see the different ways we get along based on the order of our functions!
      I've also noticed a trend where there's a lot of harmony between, for example, an Fi-dom and someone with Fi in 3rd (example: ISFP and ISTJ) or Ni-dom and someone with Ni in 3rd (INFJ and ISFP). Obviously I'm speaking from personal experience, but I have also observed it with other types finding harmony. For example, I know of several ESTJ-ENFP friendships that are surprisingly harmonious, and I believe I know of 2-3 marriages between ISTP and INFJ that are quite happy. And I had an ISTJ coworker that I loved!! We worked at a shop together and really enjoyed putting together displays. It's fun to spot these patterns!
      I personally have tried my best to get along with ESFPs and ENFPs but found the 3rd place Te to rub me the wrong way at times. But I still truly love them and believe they have the best intentions! And I probably stress them too at times due to my own function order! But every type combo has the potential for harmony with the right attitude. ❤️

    ENTP: (sticks out arms and looks at them) Isn’t it weird to think that gravity’s pulling you both ways?
    INTP: It’s not like two ropes pulling on your wrists, the gravity from one direction creates a more or less equal force on every molecule in your body.
    I think a date between NTPs might sound a little like that.

    So fun and amusing as always!! And that plot twist at the end... Kristin, I would love to see you do a video on the shared-dominant-trait types getting along! (The Fi-Fi kinship of ISFP and INFP for example!)

    The most similiar type was the introverted extroverted version of each type. I was kinda expecting that since they have the same cognitive functions in a very similiar order, but I also didn't expect that because types with the same dominant cognitive function may be closer. Anyway good video kristin. As an INTP I do like watching crabs, but I also like to swim. In fact I was once invited to a beach party and while everybody was dancing on the sand, I swam far far deep into the sea. At some point I was wondering if anyone was looking for me so I came back but as I figuered no one even noticed I was gone

      @@cathyhart3946 Yes, I'd say that's accurate for me as well. People who don't know me well try to type me as an ISFJ, because my Te only comes out around people when I'm very comfortable (or when it's very necessary). My ISFJ friend can certainly tell; she always says I'm just like her ESTJ husband. 🤣

    I’m an INTJ who related 💯 to the ESTJ depiction! 🤣
    I’ve been a professional organizer in the past, and learned that though I *_love_* the setup process, anything related to maintenance is totally draining. If clients weren’t going to be able to maintain the system I created for them, I’d find them someone to come in and do it for them, however frequently they needed a space refresh.

    • @MoPoppins
      @MoPoppins ปีที่แล้ว

      @@calimorales9880 Whatever needs to be done. #GeneralistForLife
      I realized early on that once the learning opps are gone, I just wanna DIE (and I mean that *_literally_* ), if I’m still doing the same thing. Working a 9 to 5 was pure hell, and I also had to accept that no matter how clearly I communicated my career/life objectives, other people (in this case, Sensors who could care less, as they also probably couldn’t relate), they could never meet my needs, so ALL of the positive experiences I’ve had working, were where I created my own opportunities.
      If you’re an INTJ, don’t be surprised if you end up creating your own jobs, esp. if you’re the only intuitive thinker type that you know offline (and if you haven’t established an online network yet…but hopefully, you’ll be doing something about that, very soon).
      Being an INTJ, you probably get hunches that you’d be good at a certain thing, even if you have no formal background/training in it. If you’re just curious and want to try it out as a life experience/social experiment, just make it happen. One example from my life is when I felt like I’d be a good ACCENT REDUCTION COACH, so I put up ads in Craigslist, and you’d be surprised (or not?) at the demand for one! Lots of people (immigrants) want to increase their life/job opportunities, and they see reducing their accent and adopting one of a native English speaker would be life-changing for them, so they’re willing to pay for it. I only did it for one student, but I was 100% right that I’d know what to do-I see professional accent coaches on TH-cam, and their methodology is the same as the one I came up with. 👍
      Particularly if your idea has low to no barriers to entry, just try it-you know you’re DYING to find out if your hypothesis is correct!! 😊
