It's been 10 years since I have been to the Gems. Sad thing is I live only 2.5 hours away from them. A lot of amazing places to visit up in Northern Saskatchewan.
@@EpicTripAdventures Lac La Ronge Provincial Park is really nice but you have to go north of Wadin Bay campground now because a large forest fire went through the area in 2015. If you get into that area I suggest Devils lake campgrounds. Nice little 2.5 km out and back trail along the lake and the Churchill river. Also on the southern tip of the Canadian shield.
Awesome hike for beginners! Took my daughter out couple years ago for her first over night hiking. It was very easy hike and warmed her up for our multi day hiking adventures. Only issue we had is 2 black bears but they really didn't bother us. Just follow proper hiking etiquette and you will be okay. Oh yeah, remember the cardinal rule only leave foot prints behind.
*_Beautiful adventure for you young people :)))) in wonderful scenery, the nature all around looks great, was also a lot of fun to watch you, thanks a lot for showing and best regards from Germany, Angela_*

I grew up in the area and used to go fishing with my late uncle in the Gem Lakes. It’s truly paradise.
I'm planning on going up in mid september and plan on doing some trout fishing. Any tips? How deep? Lures or worms?

Jonathon Merritt such a wicked spot! We’re hopefully gonna get up to northern sask for a canoe trip next summer.

How did you get the canoe in?
Some other campers had brought it in so we borrowed it for a quick paddle!
Personally this is an activity for beginner campers, paddlers and hikers. Easy fun times a head.
Love the videos!!! Are u guys still making them?
Thanks! We sure are.
The pointer on the map at 0:21 is not over Saskatchewan. That's British Columbia
Looks beautiful! I was thinking about going next summer, what time of year did you go?
It was awesome. We were there in August.
Great hunting in that area :)

Gem Lakes just makes me think of Bon Jovi. (Don't ask) North sask has a lot of cool places to go.
Who is a good dog?
You guys should have hooked up the GoPro to Tarzan
Dang that would have been a good idea!
