    Removing those gross stick on mirrors made such a difference! also the corner storage shelves really don’t provide that much storage, do they? love seeing how small changes aimed at functionality/freshening up can make such a big difference in a small space!

    Love it! The only thing I would add is some frosted glass contact paper on the one glass wall in the shower next to the vanity, to disguise the view of the sloppy construction and the under the sink area

    those supply items on the receipt would legitimately cost $180 dollars here in Canada, and you'd have like 2 options for each item.

    Maybe do the contact paper around the sink by cutting a template made from paper and transferring that to the back of the contact paper prior to removing the backing paper?

    It looks cleaner and fresher now! Great! Excited for your new appartement.
    I would have used silicon on the peel-and-stick paper around the edges eg the walls and sink, so it doesn't peel-up to quickly.
    I would have made a cupboard/shelves/doors under the sink and I would have used the plastic for windows (to stop people looking in) on the inside, lower half of the under-the-sink shower wall so you can't see the messy sink work and whatever is stored under the sink.
    But I guess as you aren't staying there you didn't want to spend to much.

      Oooh I love those ideas so much! I definitely would have done more if Hayley was staying longer. The under the sink area from the shower still looked bad 🫠 but I’m glad it was fresher than before! I’ll definitely use that silicone hack on the tiles in future! Thank you

    @Owca2512 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Great makeover! I think it would also look great to add a little silicone on the left side of the sink counter to clean it up. Also maybe you could add a glass sticker from the inside of the shower, to hide the space underneath the sink 😊 as for the shower door rubber thing (I don't know how you call these in English 😂) if you can take it on and off try soaking it up in vinegar or baking soda to lighten the yellow 👍🏻

    FYI, after cleaning tile grout you need to seal it or it will get dirty & discolored in no time.Also skip the Clorox bathroom cleaner and paint pen. Use the cleanser Bar Keepers Friend ( it is fantastic) then seal. The absolute BEST I have found!

    Glad you decided to end the makeover and share it with us, it definetly look a lot better! That glitter grout looked awful. Before you mentioned that it is glitter grout it just seemed like really dirty grout to me probably because it was missing at some places. So your hard work of removing it and painting the grout lighter made a huge difference! And you definetly made the bathroom feel more peaceful and spa-like. Well done! 😊

  • @Andrea_Weird
    @Andrea_Weird 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Wow! What a difference! I’m thinking a hydrogen bleach product like Oxiclean or just straight hydrogen peroxide might brighten up the yellowed plastic around the shower door. You’d probably need to go over it several times to make a full improvement, however. Do you plan to recaulk all the seams around the sink area? I think it’d be a great budget-conscious step.

    Hey girly!
    I've been wondering with the rental hacks.. do you ask permission from your landlord first? Or do you just go for it because you know it can be reversed before you leave? And what do you do when it comes to inspection? There are so many little things like this I wanted to be doing in our rented flat, but would feel awkward having to go to the letting agents for permission every time 😅 really want to contact paper our kitchen cabinets!

Your friend on the other hand is dirty lol you can tell the bathroom hasn't been properly cleaned in weeks and she couldn't even change that shower head herself?! • @chuttsh
      @chuttsh 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      she's not a friend but a girlfriend and there are people who can live a few weeks without deep cleaning a bathroom, nothing wrong with that. as i understood it, the person who made the video said they will change the shower head for the girlfriend and it got delayed for a bit and that's why they didn't change the filter or the shower head before that, it's been planned for a couple of months prior doing it finally.

    • @alenkabkk
      @alenkabkk 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chuttsh not important friend or a gf.... and the bathroom looked like it hasn't even been maintained well, I'm not even talking deep cleaning.... it's just dirty... and that filter looks like it hasn't been changed in weeks.... way past the time it was supposed to be changed... so yes... dirty.

    • @chuttsh
      @chuttsh 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alenkabkk i'm not saying it's very important, just correcting your mistake. yes, like i said, it's mentioned in the video that the filter wasn't changed for about two months past it was due, because the author of the video promised to take care of it but couldn't do it for a few weeks. did you listen to that part?

    You did an amazing job considering how crappy the Bathroom looked before you started. It looked so cheap and nasty but you have really elevated it. I have remodeled better looking bathrooms than that so my tenants never had to put up with broken tiles and chunks of grout missing or masses of what looked like mold in the corners.

    I'm sorry, but the beige grout/sealant on the vinyl paper looks horrible. Maybe a transparent sealant would've looked better. Also, it might not be 100% renter friendly. These vinyls harden over time and the only possible way to remove some of them later is to scrape them off bit by bit. Luckily you've stuck it onto a stone surface so here this probably won't be a problem.
    I can also see a bit of it coming off already. Generally, using a different type of vinyl/ doing some practice in wrapping and a different sealant colour might have helped here.
    Over all, this bathroom needed cleaning/resealing more than an actual makeover. You've done a good job in that.
