Great analysis! I stopped reading the manga a while ago and wanted to catch up as the anime was coming out. I finally got caught up on the manga and I just could not stop reading until I caught up. Dandadan representative of an important topic that is often not portrayed in this way, specifically with youth, but a lot of adults have issues with identity and self-acceptance. It’s so good.

Glad to know you loved the series! I definitely think self identity isn't talked about nearly enough when it comes to a lot of the plot elements, especially the romance kinda overpowering it.
