Bubblegum has done some pretty heinous things in this franchise, there's no denying that. However, I believe it is those very actions that help illustrate why it's so important for her to have someone like Marceline in her life--she's not afraid to call others out on their BS and challenge them to do better by themselves and other people, even as she works through her own issues and traumas separate from PB's. If Marcy weren't there, I'm 100% convinced Bubblegum would have permanently succumbed to all her worst impulses.

Plus, with the amount of restrictions on his character mandated by SEGA, the writers couldn't write him in a satisfying way, so they wrote him out of the story as much as they could. Hopefully that changes soon.

I hope we will get more Primordials lore in season 2. It probably won't be a main plot point but since Sweet P is now older maybe he has the memories of the Lich from before Time. Princess Bubblegum might make a machine to see someone's memories on a screen and Finn recognizes Orgalorg in the sea of monsters, and Simon decides to study Sweet P's memories and eventually discover that Coconteppi was also one of the Primordial monsters. Then Sweet P starts remembering the names of some of the Primordials and he team up with Simon to find out where they are, and they do find a third surviving Primordial

It really hits me what you said about escapism helping build a community and as a way to cope with personal problems. I was very depressed and lonely before I found a dragon pov book series called wings of fire and that world sucked me in to the point of making my first proper fanfic. And through that fanfic I managed to meet all sorts of people who have bonded with me through my characters and eventually connected to me. Through that world I have managed to meet a lot of important people in my life now and I can finally say that I have real friends who actually care about me.

It only occurred to me way after I finished the show what the point of Cinnamon Bun's arc was, that he was an irresponsible dummy not because of who he just is as a person, but because he lived under the overbearing watch of PB. As soon as he spent time outside her watchful eye, he started gaining new perspectives and a sense of competence and responsibility, and stopped being a completely idiotic screw-up.

i like that comic where jake dies, but i don't think it can be canon. jake is supposed to die in cosmos, like in his dream

I love the difference in surge and kit's opinions on there counterparts. Surge "hates" sonic because justify it all she might, she is "programed" to. Kit mean while HATES tails because he lied to him, thus has an actual reason.

thank god dude it's so refreshing seeing someone else see and understand pb as a complex character... i always feel like i'm fighting for my life to try and defend her from being painted as a villain by other people 😭 she's just such an interesting character and it really bums me out when people don't even try to understand her and just automatically label her as evil

I know it may be a hope in vain, but I hope Starline might have had a hand in this. And before ya'll gonna start telling, ,,No chance for that, he's dead!", I want you to hear me out. I liked him very much in IDW. He came off as a neat addition to the cast and (Oh lord, hold me) a new villian. Now, I have nothing angainst Eggman, as he was also presented very well. But let's be honest, do we really want to have him as a villian for a milonth time, while we can have new and fun bad guys? Answer that question yourself. (and please, refrain from saying about Starline's death, I get it already.) And I also root for Black Doom to appear. I like that theory very much.

Nice idea, but I prefer Black Doom to be dead since Shadow Generations.

I take her as a successful Dr Frankenstein, rather than creating an all consuming monster, she she succeeds at generating a lineage of worthwhile beings as Frank was hoping for; But this also got out of control in a different way, namely a massive personal responsibility for a complex society She’s done very well with it

Imagine this is how they make Eclipse canon (no pun intended). Like black doom couldnt take over shadows body, but instead reincarnates himself into a new being, with now making Eclipse. Sort of like a king piccolo thing for those that knows

Whisper had become my favorite before the backstory reveal, probably due to her contrast from the rest, like you said. Reading her backstory solidified her as my favorite though personally.

I’d like to see Sage come into the IDW comics. But the only way I see that happening, is some sort of time skip probably. As for Black Doom? He was supposedly killed and disappeared when the time anomaly caused by him, and Time Eater, was mended. Returning him back to his timeline where he’s died. But, if Black Doom survived the events of Shadow the Hedgehog, and regenerated from remaining Black Arms dna, then he could come back again after Shadow Generations.

Would be also cool if this was the doom powers Debut in the comics

I know this is wrong of me but if finn and hw (can we please get a proper name for her😂) turn out to not be together in some way im going to fucking lose it😂. Ive never been like this with any show but this time. Damn its just how i want it to be lol. Really hope finn has a big role. I want to see finn kind of mentor fionna a bit but id also like to see some tragedy with finn. I know its messed up of me but i kinda hope some horrible things have happened to him. As well as jake having had died of course. And fionna can help to bring finn back from a really dark place
