Don’t sweat all the hate Jake. If these people don’t like the direction they can get off the ride. I think from the beginning of your vlogs you were looking for a path. You found one with the 50 state road trip. It became an adaptive goal and I know for one that it’s not over. As with the best parts of life things have changed, and I feel for they have changed for the better. You look much more satisfied and good things come from happy people. Good job man, just stay happy and you don’t owe anything to anyone. Pump these vlogs out every 6 months for all I care as long as you are having a genuinely good time.
Jake, I know you only respond to compliments, but the critical suggestions that are the bulk of the recent comments are meant to help you. Please think about this. These are folks like me who really enjoyed your vlogs/drone footage but miss the frequent posts, the focus on the road trip, and the Jeep related topics. Lots of patreons left, only a few picked you up. The trend is downward. The "50 state" road trip was loved and Supported. Not hating, this is meant to be only positive for you. Have fun. Enjoy love. You're still posting from Mexico? More than 6 weeks ago. No more daily vlogs? This is what attracted me to this vlog and really enjoying it. You've only done 5 states on your 50 state tour in a year and half. Is it over Jake? It was a good looking girl that took me down on my 50 state journey but I did make it 12 states when I started in 1975. No youtube just a journal. Met this girl and my dream came to an end. I Don't regret the marriage but I do regret not finishing my dream. Which I was living through Jake. Maybe someone else could do this. I'm 60 now, hope it comes soon.

Reading through these and many of them are kind of brutal. Honest, on target and brutal but it seems to me that there is enough being called into question that @Jake needs to pony up and reply. You are right - it IS his journey and if it was just a TH-cam channel I would "piss off" like the rest of us but this is a BUSINESS - notice the Amazon links? Notice the Patreon and PayPay? Those are for money and if he is saying one thing and doing another or not doing it at all - then it IS time to clarify and let those who contribute hard earned dollars they WORK for make decisions about where to put their resources.

I thoroughly enjoy watching his adventures. I do not enjoy seeing his patreon support waning, but I understand it. I wonder if bigger Patreon supporters might use a different screen name to express their concern before pulling their support? 267 financial supporters now, down from a high of 319 when the 50 state road trip seemed real to folks. Looking at the comments it seems I'm far from being alone in missing the 50 state road trip. I have never contributed financially so my opinion doesn't matter as much as others but..
Jake I understand you're on a vacation off grid where you rarely have time to edit and upload so I won't be too harsh. This trip has been pretty long already, I think maybe you should have warned your viewers and patrons that the videos would slow way down for a while. And maybe you did do that, I just don't remember it. I think you should get back to the near-daily uploads of the 50 state trip as quickly as possible.

All yall trying to tell him what to do/when to do it should just leave. He started this on his own schedule at his own leisure and im glad he continues to keep it that way.
Wow people at no point did I ever see him say i'm going to live my life and make videos to please everybody else. He made a decision to allow us to watch his adventures and tag along if we wish. If what he is doing doesn't match your expectations then I would suggest you pack your rig and hit the road yourself. Jake and Izzi are doing what they enjoy and we are invited to watch. I truly hope that you two don't allow this noise to become a distraction, I think the most important lesson we learn in this life is to be true to our selves, you and Izzi seem to be headed that direction. People also donated things specifically toward him and his 50 state journey because they were genuinely interested in seeing him do it whether it was to live vicariously through him or some other reason. He also stated he wanted to do a daily vlog. It’s no longer any of that.
sorry guys neither of those arguments hold water, he never entered into any contract with anyone, he is not doing a 50 state road trip based on anyone else's idea of what that entails., he gave no itinerary or time schedule for this and life tends to get in the way of even the best laid plans, so maybe it isn't a daily blog, he is doing what's right for him, which was the whole premise of this adventure in the 1st place. If what he is doing doesn't match your expectations then by all means move on to something that does, but don't challenge him on what you think his journey should be.
