Zero's theme sounds like you awaken something so powerful to help you but you don't understand that it could as well destroy you and everything in its path.
Not only does it laugh at Civilian Causalities, it then uses its Black Boxes to rewrite reality and make it so none of the death and damage even happened, just to flex on everyone else.
There is a reason why there are very few fanfics to do with any SRW universe. It will end just about almost all antagonists threatening earth to be curb stomped into the earth's core.

Not gonna lie, ZERO singlehandedly got me to purchase SRW V. Every single dime, well spent. V is one of the most enjoyable SRWs I've played since Z2 Saisei-hen. with an equally intriguing story centered around the Yamato storyline, and supported by an awesome lineup of cast.

for me personally, X is my least favorite among V-X-T. the only thing kept me interested is the lineup (Dunbine mainly), T is kind of in the middle. imo among V-X-T : SRW V = (+) the best of the three, good story and lineup, as well as amazing debut series. (--) only 1 main original mech with barely next to no difference at all later in the game. SRW X = (+) the worst of the three, good thing is (for me) the return of Dunbine and addition of Wataru and MKR. Otherwise, the lineup is also pretty good. (--) the story is kinda boring (overused), the OG is weird / borderline ugly, and the last boss is super ugly. SRW T = (+) the middle one, it has good OG mech and good lineup (this is what they did right in these 3 titles). (--) OG mech only has 1 upgraded version (expecting 2, at least the Geshpenst should've been upgraded too) and the last boss is very underwhelming (especially his motivation). again, just my personal opinion. but my disappointment for them all : many mechs not included, or only appear as part of an attack. And lack of combination moves.

Hell zero has no chance against Getter Emperor, which is still too weak to fight either of them, being still physical beings.
Considering it's over the top power, (Which apparently isn't really displayed here properly from what I've read) I'm gonna be honest...I wouldn't be surprised if it became the new Chaos God of Hot Blood. It's got reality warping capability beyond even that of a greater demon.

Zero already won tho. In the manga, it consumed all of Super Robot Franchise, that includes TTGL, Getter, Demonbane and every other robot franchise you can think of in the past, present and future of our world.
This video and Robot was the start of so much rabbit hole diving way back in 2017. Was in bed and watched this on a whim and holy shit man. The music, the attacks, the care put into its movements, how primal it is. It just awakens a beast in your imagination. The lore behind this thing births so much potential. The possibilities are endless.
It’s been five years since Zero has been introduced into SRW and it has taken it by storm. Since this guy is so OP it makes Demonbane look like fodder.
It's also pretty OP in the other game Demonbane appeared in - SRW X-Omega. In it, Mazinger ZERO was taken over by Nyarlathotep at one point, and it took TWO Shining Trapzohedrons to take ZERO down...and it WANTED to be defeated there.
... For anyone who ask why the MAP still intact. You know the purple area Zero cast for every attack ? It's his own dimension which contain spread damage outside, so the planet or space won't get destroyed ...
These times where Getter Robo, Shin, Black, Getter G and specially Dragon had powerful moves than the Mazinger units. I like more Mazinger fan than Getter Robo series because I haven't watched full episodes of Getter but some memorable battles only watched)
I definitely recommend reading Ken Ishikawa's Getter Robo manga (Getter Robo, G, Go, Shin, and Arc). It's Getter Robo at its finest. I still want Getter Emperor after reading those manga.
What about almost every mecha vs zero? We can't forget that final fight in Mazinger Zero, It could do a really good final dynamic special if zero is involved this time
well, the simply fact about the Emperor existing, means that our galaxy is destroyed, its basically impossible to have an playable Emperor, cuz there would be no "Super Robot Wars", thats why he only exists in future
That last attack, not only does the enemy receive point-blank range Breast Fire (Which can destroy a planet), but also a point blank Rust Hurricane as well. I'd like to call that overkill but I'm sure that is the understatement of the year.
yes and mostly those srw series that the mc can be renamed even better and chose mechs BUT for non selection type for mechs its should be a awsome mech from close to long range with a badazz bg like the psp srwz2 saisaihen
The Final Breast Nova is actually an Original attack from SRW but with references from Manga. At the start is like ZERO changed the color of the sky, almost like changing reality, because ZERO at full power is actually become reality it self. And then ZERO fire a Breast Fire that melted the enemy's lower half is a reference for how Zero Melted Great Mazinkaiser (Yes, Great Mazinkaiser is a thing) and then ZERO casually standing on the Zero Scrander Wings. The Rust Hurricane finisher is probably Original move.
Mazinger Zero really reminds me of how the Shin Getter Robo was portrayed in the original manga. Shin Getter tended to cause similar levels of destruction and collateral damage whenever it was used and its assimilation, regeneration, and metamorphosis abilities are all similar to abilities Shin Getter had. Of course, Zero is undeniably more powerful than Shin Getter. It's a shame we never really saw an anime that depicted Shin Getter as horrifyingly powerful as it was in the manga.
I really really like Mazinger Zero, it's by far my favorite unit in the game. Everything about it from the design to it's attacks is so damn good. I think the only way for one to not like Zero is to not like Super Robots and highly prefer Real Robots, otherwise, no Gundam or other Super Robot in this game is as awesome as Mazinger Zero.
It was responsible for corrupting Koji and making everyone die horribly in several timelines. Due to some plot contrivance bullshit, no Mazinger or derivative was able to even touch it, so they had to summon images of "spiritual relatives" from other robot series to take it down. It's about as cancerous as Ideon and one of those machines that should just be scrapped on sight.
You can tell that the translation budget for ZZ also went here, considering how well translated the phrases were! It even added the translations for unspoken subtexts!
What if Mazinger can turn an impossible difficulty into baby mode? Sure, Zero is OP but what if Z has Spirit commands based on the 7 Black Boxes. Imagine. Z as your support pilot. He would have 169 SP points And then it would have these Spirit commands: - *Regenerate* (10 SP) • Can restore Z’s HP by 90%. - *Assimilate* (12 SP) • Can restore Z’s EN by 85%. • Can restore Z’s SP by 85% after 1 turn. - *Strengthen* (15 SP) • Gives additional damage by 45%. • Reduces damage by 85%. • 100% critical hit chance for 1 turn. - *Precognition* (20 SP) • Avoids enemy attacks for 1 turn. • 2nd Attack. • Zeal. - *Metamorphosis* (25 SP) • Can switch from offensive, defensive, or evasive. • Can raise abilities by 65% percent depending on the type. - *Reality Manipulation* (30 SP) • Choose from the following. • Heals all units HP, EN, and SP by 100%. • Can restore all destroyed units. • Enemies reduced by 35% • All units completely evade for 1 turn. - *Majin Phase* (40 SP) • Turns on all Spirit commands for 1 turn. • Evasion and critical chances are 75% for 1 turn. • HIT and Armor are strengthened by 90% for 1 turn. • Reduced enemies by 50%. Mazinger Z might be the strongest unit in the game!

Agreed. AT first to me it always made sense why Breast Fire was the stronger attack since it was on it's chest and it's pure heat.... but then it kinda hit me. Photon Beam WOULD be stronger since THAT'S what powers Mazinger Z in the first place.

It's VERY easy to forget that this BAMF is a version Mazinger Z and NOT a version of Kaiser. Like, some of this shit can be comparable to Kaiser's abilities.... Hell, this thing can be compared to GETTER FUCKING EMPEROR!
I wouldn't be suprised if that was the case. Not that i mind, Gundams already get enough games as it is, and SRW tends to give them a lot of focus too. So seeing this game give more of the budget to the Mazingers is suprising and great.
Nah most of the units got a combined 1%, since their attacks are basically the same as Z with minor tweaks. Only new series got actual work done on them. With both Z's, Yamato and ZZ getting the best stuff.
Can't believe that I hated this mecha for almost all SRW I played because of the boring theme and animation. But comes SRW Z and I said "You one badass super robot! I love you now!" then this, and I said "The F! I only need you to clear the whole game!"
A bit late but... The spiral energy is basically the get rays as for the eva... Mazinger since the beginning had the chance to be a God or devil so the base of going berserk is there
V for Victory combo: Berserk Eva 01, Shin Getter Robo Mazin Emporer G Mazinger Zero Use just these four for the rest of the game and you can STILL win. The Game just plays itself at that point
Arrowdodger i you read the 1st chapter of shin mazinger zero. it gets even more brutal. spoilers! theres a panel in the manga where zero got impaled by a bunch of thr enemies mech. and he shrugged it off like it was nothing and then proceeds to eat one of them.
Hopefully the next SRW will bring ZERO sgain, in his Infinitism form, like it did with Kaiser. If that is the case i really hope they put the same love and defication as they did in V
Been playing SRW since ‘04 and this is the best Mazinger has ever been. Was sorely needed (just like Devolution with Getter) to bring something new to the standard Mazinger Z/Mazinkaiser dichotomy after so long. Hope it comes back soon.
Man, when I get this game. Getter, Vilkiss and Mazinger are going to be my main units. I love Gundam, but how can I say no to the concept of Ange, Ryoma and Koji firing off their beam weapons at unionize to vaporize anything.

Oh god. Can you guys imagine what can z infinity can do should its black boxes activates and become a zero? Did you see what it can do in the movie? Its like koji keeps casting wall and guard at the same time while casting refresh(that spirit command aya kobayashi has that replenish en and ammo), and it has hp regen xl. Good thing its made out of 3d printed, photon infused new super alloy z omega hug. What could go wrong. Maybe srx getting torn from the waist down, maybe dracodeus needed orgone cloud, or maybe a one-on-one with neo granzon
One thing i regret about this unit... Is that i didn't finish customizing Mazinger Z before being Zero... At least when Great Mazinger became Emperor, G Mazinger's upgrades was passed on...
Still sad that they replaced this ver of Kouji when he reached the peak and took SRW games to a higher brutality level where a true boss on your side like Shu in OG. Best Koji imo which you don't want him being your enemy. In X they break the game with Zero and TTGL

It’s been five years since Zero has been introduced into SRW and it has taken it by storm. Since this guy is so OP it makes Demonbane look like fodder.
It's also pretty OP in the other game Demonbane appeared in - SRW X-Omega. In it, Mazinger ZERO was taken over by Nyarlathotep at one point, and it took TWO Shining Trapzohedrons to take ZERO down...and it WANTED to be defeated there.

These times where Getter Robo, Shin, Black, Getter G and specially Dragon had powerful moves than the Mazinger units. I like more Mazinger fan than Getter Robo series because I haven't watched full episodes of Getter but some memorable battles only watched)
In SRW Z is was surprised to see Great Mazinger stats in comparison to Getter Dragon.
While in SRW MX getter dragon was a beast in damage output.

I definitely recommend reading Ken Ishikawa's Getter Robo manga (Getter Robo, G, Go, Shin, and Arc). It's Getter Robo at its finest. I still want Getter Emperor after reading those manga.

The Final Breast Nova is actually an Original attack from SRW but with references from Manga.
At the start is like ZERO changed the color of the sky, almost like changing reality, because ZERO at full power is actually become reality it self. And then ZERO fire a Breast Fire that melted the enemy's lower half is a reference for how Zero Melted Great Mazinkaiser (Yes, Great Mazinkaiser is a thing) and then ZERO casually standing on the Zero Scrander Wings. The Rust Hurricane finisher is probably Original move.
I was hoping for a Dynamic special with Zero, Emperor, and Getter. Still this was amazing.

Mazinger Zero really reminds me of how the Shin Getter Robo was portrayed in the original manga. Shin Getter tended to cause similar levels of destruction and collateral damage whenever it was used and its assimilation, regeneration, and metamorphosis abilities are all similar to abilities Shin Getter had. Of course, Zero is undeniably more powerful than Shin Getter.
It's a shame we never really saw an anime that depicted Shin Getter as horrifyingly powerful as it was in the manga.

I really really like Mazinger Zero, it's by far my favorite unit in the game.
Everything about it from the design to it's attacks is so damn good.
I think the only way for one to not like Zero is to not like Super Robots and highly prefer Real Robots, otherwise, no Gundam or other Super Robot in this game is as awesome as Mazinger Zero.

It was responsible for corrupting Koji and making everyone die horribly in several timelines. Due to some plot contrivance bullshit, no Mazinger or derivative was able to even touch it, so they had to summon images of "spiritual relatives" from other robot series to take it down. It's about as cancerous as Ideon and one of those machines that should just be scrapped on sight.

Nah most of the units got a combined 1%, since their attacks are basically the same as Z with minor tweaks. Only new series got actual work done on them. With both Z's, Yamato and ZZ getting the best stuff.

Been playing SRW since ‘04 and this is the best Mazinger has ever been. Was sorely needed (just like Devolution with Getter) to bring something new to the standard Mazinger Z/Mazinkaiser dichotomy after so long. Hope it comes back soon.

Its like koji keeps casting wall and guard at the same time while casting refresh(that spirit command aya kobayashi has that replenish en and ammo), and it has hp regen xl. Good thing its made out of 3d printed, photon infused new super alloy z omega hug. What could go wrong. Maybe srx getting torn from the waist down, maybe dracodeus needed orgone cloud, or maybe a one-on-one with neo granzon
