@@kakizakichannel V gave a more cemented ending with it also mixing in mazinger zero story. tetsuya in V is more akin to the one here in the show and they kinda gave an explanation why he is involved, where he been an what he knows of future events like mazin zero controlling koji and how to free him. in end koji full control of mazin zero plus tetsuya get the upgraded mazinger emperor to join the fight.

Blaze Fire Not really. This ending makes the most sense for the whole Mazinger series as a whole. Kouji ALWAYS loses to the Mycenae Empire. Mazinger Z is NEVER strong enough on his own. Despite alot of key differences, the plot of Shin Mazinger Impact is basically the Manga mixed in with Z Mazinger for the backstory. Plus some other cameos and additions mixed in as per the style of the series director Yasuhiro Imagawa. He does this alot, like in Giant Robo and the first three episodes of Getter Robo Armageddon. Shin Mazinger, even with a few twists, ends exactly as it should. The ending makes sense. All we really need is Tetsuya to come in and save Kouji's ass with Great Mazinger. Like always. Plus Imagawa needs to write the damn sequel...

I think it's more another throwback to the older Mazinger canon's, specifically the 70's Anime where right after a gloriously triumphant victory the heroes are met with an evil that only a super-super robot can defeat. The reason I don't think they'll make "Shin Great Mazinger" is that it would be near impossible to explain in the canon established in Z-Hen, especially how Great Mazinger is more powerful than Mazinger Z and how Tetsuya is still alive.

Tetsuya is an artificial being from the original Tetsuya, and Great Mazinger was made using the left hand of Zeus, altough I don't remember who built It. They then kinda did what the story beat of Shin great would have been in SRW. This was probably the best they could do to give a bit of closure to fans after years.

Now that Dr Hell is dead, Ashler then performed his/her suicidal Blood Ritual Sacrifice in order to revive the ancient Mycene Empire... and then the 'sequel' for this series begins.
Well the wrighter of this series made this ending wth a Shin Great Mazinger series in mind (and is in fact still tryngtoget made) so we can asume Great would have an other explenation in this universe.
@AgaiLazen Darnit, I cant find a place to watch the original series, so I was really hoping for this series to cover more so I wouldn't feel as out of the loop. But, on the other hand, think of all the people that got revived, so Tetsuya coming back would actually make some sense. And maybe they can explain Great as something the other scientists worked on as a backup plan (Dr Kabuto's AI could've helped too). So, a "True Mazinger Impact: Great Chapter" might still be possible.
Let's hope Getter Robo Arc anime won't end in that way even the final episode title is Endless Battle which is same name as final manga chapter and it ends in cliffhanger

no news of a great mazinger remake but there were plans for a remake of ufo grendizer (think i mispelled but ppl should know who im talking about) and for mazinkaiser there was one last year i think called skl mazinkaiser but its really different compare to the original one ppl know and it only went for like 2-3 episodes.
