Thank you so much! Fucken thought my Boss gt 10 was broken until I found this. Spent all day trying to figure this out. Music shop in town couldn't even sort it out. You the man!
@@tianjay I bought a loop pedal and when you plugged it into the send return on the unit it wouldn't work until you turned it on. Such a simple thing but I had no idea that you had to do that. So thank you.
Hi there, I've connected my GT10 to a blackstar series one 100watt 4 channel amp using the 4 cable method. I've also connected it via midi and have it set up to change channels for various patches. The issue is that I seem to be getting a background dry signal mixed with my amp tone. I wondered if you had any advice on sorting this our. Many thanks in advance!
I connected the 4 cables on my GT-10B with a Hartke A70 (which provides an effect loop : "Amp In/Preamp Out") as described : 1) I can hear the instrument with the GT-10B effects but only if the S/R is set to off. If I set it to on : nothing, no sound and, in the FX Chain, if I move the S/R in the channel B (in Single mode) or if I set S/R mode to "Direct mix", I can again hear the instrument. Anywhere else in the FX chain gives no sound... 2) In that configuration, ALL knobs on the amp do nothing : volume, bass, treble, eq, limiter ...Everything is controlled by the GT-10B 3) Is there any advantage for the sound quality to connect like this ??? Because it's the same sound if I connect the left mono directly in the amp without the 4 cable method... I just don't get it, and in the manual it says it's used for an external effect, there's nothing about the "4 cables method"... [EDIT] 4 cables works now when I set S/R to ON AND I use the volume on the amp (it was at position 0...) If I understand properly, with the 4 way cabling, the preamp of the amp (in other words all its tunings, volume, eq, etc...) BECOMES an external effect (the S/R effect) in the FX chain of hte GT-10B.
Thank You So Much My Bro
I been wondering how it worked thru that function and took me ages to get a ext loop to connect without feedback

Glad it helped… just for the purpose of helping others, what was the problem you were experiencing and what was the fix?

Turn on the send and return that is not the unit lol. I'm not that stupid haha.
@@davidkingston3571 Right… yeah it’s not instantly obvious that the loop isn’t on by default…
I wonder if we can change the placement of sr in the fx chain.
Yes you can, check out this vid >>> th-cam.com/video/AlirILDo6nA/w-d-xo.html
