    The greatest book of wisdom of all time says if you raise a child in the way that they should go, when they are old they will not depart from it. You two are going to leave the world with three wonderful kids. Marriage is a partnership, not a fairy tale. However, if you get the partnership right, the fairy tale will follow. You two have figured that out. I so enjoy watching you. My favorite vids of the week.

      🤣 How times have changed... My parents didn't buy my vehicles. I had to mow lawns and detassle corn whatever odd end jobs cleaning up yards etc. Bought a moped at 14 paid for everything including insurance. Definition of teaching responsibility sounds like most Millennials these days...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • @nathanasimpson
      @nathanasimpson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@centosx I think you're missing the point. Think about how much further you could have made it if you could have bought a small truck instead of a moped because your parents knew they could trust you to take care of it and went 50/50 with you. Imagine that, after giving you more and more responsibility, they decided that after learning to change the oil, check your tires, knew how important road safety is, and the cost of ownership, you could have expanding your lawn mowing business with a vehicle and a better lawn mower with the help of your parents.
      That's how this works. You don't tell your kid to go work an entire summer for something that you already know they can handle, when you can more than afford to find their dreams and responsibilities, so that they can go further than you ever did.
      It's about developing a better legacy in your kids, not recreating it.

    These 3 PRECIOUS gifts from God have anything but a sense of self-entitlement.
    For example...Carter being so thankful for the gift of the mini truck.
    You rarely, if ever see them sitting idly by w/an iPad/cell phone in their hand.
    Rather, they’re always busy about the family’s farm work.
    Reminds me of my mom’s stories of how they all pitched in around the farm, in the late 20’s/early 30’s.

    Awesome Carter, up and running now. Now would be a good time to introduce the young heifer and calf to halter training, it would pay to read up on it, but if you do just remember to not leave the halter on when they're unattended. The whole place is looking tremendous, and now a functioning farm. You guys are great, all the best regards from here on the West Coast side of Australia 🌏🐨🙏🤟🇦🇺

    Oh my gosh you guys. God bless. Your entire family interaction with the animals crushes me to pieces. Your children will forever be engrained with life on the homestead. Amazing Josh & Erin what has transpired there. I literally am now at a loss for words. Keep up the amazing work that you all do as a family. There are many times I have shed tears with your videos.

    Carter and Hayden will enjoy driving the Suzuki and they’ll thrive with the responsibility you have given them. Plus he’s driving a vehicle with the steering wheel on the correct side, wonderful family that share everything.

    I drove all the farm trucks, trailers, tractors, all the implements and motorcycles by ten or twelve. All of it, farm life, the work, coordination, schedule, finishing jobs, creativity, imagination are skills that are priceless and I will never outlive them. I can't thank my family enough for that and countless other ethics and skills they taught me. You guys are an amazing family. I salute you as parents/teachers/preparers of generations and your children and their children will appreciate and love you in the deepest sense all of their days. Thank you!

    Hell yeah! Those mini trucks are the coolest, and it's right hand drive! Carter is going to have one heck of a time in that thing. It's also great how the first thing he thinks of is that it's going to help him with his farm chores. Such a responsible kid. He's gonna be one heck of a catch for some lucky lady in the future.

    This channel is about building, a home, a family, a LEGACY. I have no connection to you guys, other than the YT subscription, but I'm so proud of you. No intention to be patronising, but just an (slightly) older guy loving your family and what & how you do. Sooo much love visible, great stuff, thanks!
