I feel like some kind of an alien or a weirdo because most people seem to find Rickles funny, but I never have. "You look like a weird Clark Kent." is a perfect example, you called it genius and I don't find it funny, surly not laugh out loud funny. I guess that's the way it's supposed to be concerning any kind of entertainment. It's subjective, we all have different opinions about it.
@@guybroyles48 The comic's particular jab at Larry King is explained by a humor theory called benign violation which describes a social norm is overturned but in a nonthreatening manner. When these two things happen at the same time, then it's funny. King knows Rickles doesn't mean it, that Rickles is playing with him. In the hands of a skilled comedian, the insult forces us to think, makes you reassess the situation, and this makes you reassess yourself.

The comment that Don makes about Marvin Davis that in turn causes King to lose it at 2:15 is in reference to Davis’s enormous girth. Davis was a 6’5” 350 pound Denver oilman who bought 20th Century Fox in the eighties. Don referring to seeing him swim and that he resembled a light buoy is off the charts hilarious, as is King’s delayed reaction.
The last 60 seconds of 'sign off' time was actually the funniest segment from the allready 'top drawer' Rickles appearance, witness Larry King's uncontrollable laughing. Robert at 66.
Yeah, his imitation was spot on, even though there were no actual words. Strangely, he looked a bit like him when he did the impression, and for the Sinatra as governor one. Almost like deep fake!
Can someone please restore this gem...🙏 i think I had found a better quality of this video on some other channel but now I can’t.. this is the only video available. Watching Don making Larry laugh is really fun
I want to know what his staff filming this in the background is doing while he’s telling all those jokes, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Larry King laugh that much
You have a lot of Don Rickles videos - do you have the one where Larry King asks something about Sinatra (can't remember what, perhaps about Mafia ties?) and Rickles responds, "What are you, nuts?" and goes on to talk about King ending up in cement boots or something similar? I wish I could remember in more detail, but it was a very long time ago. Larry King was completely destroyed laughing. It might even have been an outtake I saw somewhere... because I have looked and looked and can't find a video of it.
"You look like a weird Clark Kent." Genius.
Lol 😂

Watching this makes me miss Don Rickles more and more. He was a comedic gift. Always entertaining, and always funny!
I thought Larry King at the end was going to fall on the floor laughing so hard. Epic Don Rickles.
Larry laughing his ass off , that's very special he loved don.
Mr Don Rickles, the Beast of Los Angeles, Mr Warmth, Mr Potato Head. Unprecedented, unique, unequaled. Never to be repeated. Shalom Don. RIP.
Rickles was the prime mike Tyson of comedy. Just relentless and once you break character the punches Just never stop coming.
Never heard Mr King laugh before..
hilarious.
Great interview 😆😆

Great natural story teller legend 🥃👌
What an absolutely marvelous interview. I adore both those men, now gone. ❤
❤️Don Rickles
Don't recall seeing him do Michael Caine before: 14:16 "The man doesn't talk English, he's like a muffin" LOL
Yeah, his imitation was spot on, even though there were no actual words.
Strangely, he looked a bit like him when he did the impression, and for the Sinatra as governor one. Almost like deep fake!
RIP two of the greats gon too soon

"Let's be Jewish and moving" 😂😂😂
Funny that King outlived Don 😂😂😂
No.1 out of 10000 GOATs
21:55 one of the best, i'm always laughing hard at this
The laughter of Larry King really sounds like that of Anderson Cooper.
Sit back and relax best line 😂💪👍🥃
The man who really knew how to handle don!! Rest in peace Larry
Let’s not worry about Bork - that’s the same thing George Carlin would have said . Two master comedians that knew what was important .
Crazy that Larry was like 5' 10" 195 in this
Outside of Larry King the Tom Snyder interviews in the 90's are 'top drawer' stuff. Robert at 69.
He said the only thing left for me in life is doing a motion picture and his wish came true casino
He had been doing movies since the '50s ("Run Silent, Run Deep"(1958) with Clark Gable).
Rickles was great in casino
Just be Jewish and keep moving. Best advice!
🤣🤣

10:40 Rolex Rickles.....
Glad he was quite rich by this time. He deserves it for all the stomach aching laugh he gave us.
😂
I loved Don. I like Larry a bit but I don’t love him.
