So, an observation I've had watching a few of these deep endless runs: I think that if you're wanting to do a deep endless run, taking Sad Tomato is *always* a mistake. Simply put, with the way that you need to scale health in endless, you will basically *never* get enough health return to get back to full health from half by the end of the wave. This also has an impact on things like extra stomach... You can't get to full health at the end of the wave, so even picking up the fruits at the end of the wave doesn't give you the max health from that item. Effectively, in endless, Sad Tomato means that you have somewhere between 50% health and 75% health to work with during the wave... Which is really, really bad.
Hey Alex, that's a good observation. The way the game calculates your items is it first determines the items rarity then the actual item you receive. Since tardigrade seems to be the far and away most important item in endless I usually take sad tomato to remove it from the item pool (as it's unique and shares a re-roll chance with tardigrade) to increase my chances of getting more tardigrade's even if just slightly. I think the tradeoff is worth it since padding's outscale extra stomachs by a good margin. That said, you very may well be correct - but that's my reasoning in taking it in endless.
@@SeanTIER Sad tomato being unique is an interesting point. It would be interesting to compare the number of tardigrades between runs where you take it and don't. It just seems to me that just staying at between 50% and 75% health the entire wave thanks to Sad Tomato is a really big downside. That could easily be the difference between being 1 shot and being 2 shot. And then there's other benefits from being at full health (like extra stomach). I guess the real question is: How many extra tardigrades would you need to make taking Sad Tomato worth it? I'd say 1, maybe 2.
little tip for the demon start (also tip for all ethereal weapons) it´s better to upgrade one ore two weapons to blue or purple at the start, not go with 5 white weapons. They will not get stacks in the early rounds, if they have to share their kills with each other. (The tag bonus is also very negliable in early game) I recon you´ll have around 5-10 more hp due to weapons up to round 5 if you do it like that. After this you´ll have enough enemies so this won´t matter.
For Ghost, start axe, and make sure you grab a shiv within the first two wave (I like 4x axe, 2x shiv) in addition, prioritize getting 20-40 range early as the additional range helps your axes have a better 'arc' and hit more enemies. Also, prioritize dodge and try to get to 90 ASAP. It's a challenging one for sure, if you can make it past wave 9 becomes a lot easier with the scaling. Very boom or bust char. I've gotten a few asks about Ghost so I think I will make it the next guide.
Yes, the baby with a beard does steal the scepter kills. In this case, I thought it was worth it as the additional clear would provide more materials (that would turn into more health). It's a judgement call, and not always the right decision to take it, depends on the situation.
I have a question though I might already know the answer but why never take xp items?i understand that in endless the farther u get the less important 16% damage might look like but still could u explain to me why?
Hey, that's a good question. The short answer is that the XP required to level up increases at a faster than linear rate, and XP bonuses scale kind of oddly in this game and have trouble keeping up. I take one or two peacocks if it's the right time but I don't prioritize those items. The wiki page explains the full mechanics: brotato.wiki.spellsandguns.com/Experience
Cyberball/elephant quickly become irrelevant damage wise late in endless - and earlier I want to be sure I am killing enemies with either ghost scepters (for health) or crit (for materialist). Baby elephant can't crit (cyberball can) Essentially: Early - don't want them stealing my kills - Late - doesn't really matter IMO.
Yeah, he's my uncle. Oddly enough he stopped talking to me after I went four straight Holiday's trying to pitch him my business ideas. If you are in contact with him could you let him know my solar powered flashlight is going to change the world? I don't want him to miss out.
Hey TH-camReal, none of my runs/videos include mods. (Everything so far is umodded) I may experiment with mods in the future and if I do I will clearly mark them as such. Hope this helps.
What a great start to a Friday! Always fun watching you break the game! :)
Thanks Theodor! Appreciate you as always

Not feasible with scepters for the most part, they just have enough wave clear.
This guy commentates like if he stops talking we’ll leave. Breathe my man its ok
True! its so hard to listen but not hate.
There are 2 r's in tardigrade.
hey, is there a good ghost build to do D5 wave 20? I really like the ghost but im always losing in D3

@@SeanTIER thanks!
If only it was allowed to drop items you don't need anymore. Or recycle them with recycling machine.

Why not take baby elephant with all that luck

Has anybody ever said that you sound like Dr. Drew? Are you a clone?

How can I tell if your run is modded or not? I'm interested in watching non-modded runs please.

Why skip silver bullet?
Brooo breathe 😅
Why don't you play with manual aim? This is so easy
Please pause and talk slower dude. It's really hard to listen if you talk all the time with no pause 😅 nice vid though
