My being an HK guy, my EDC is the HK USP Compact 45 (stainless steel slide). I carry it 8+1 w/2 extra 12 rd mags. I love the energy of the .45ACP when it hits. It's my SHTF caliber hands down. 😎
@@Gundamentalz Absolutely! But, the .40 is nice as well. It all boils down to what people prefer and what they shoot the best. I have 9mm's as well but I shoot the .45ACP the best. I wouldn't want to be the cat in front of my sites either. 😎
I love my Gen 5 Glock 23 and 22. The Gen 5 .40 cals from Glock are built with slightly bigger slides than previous generations. It makes their Gen 5’s last longer because they’re stronger.
I just bought a LE trade in G22 Gen 3 in like new condition in Cali with 2 mags, the lock, 3 dot nights, tungsten guide and spring, 100 rounds of ammo and a Glock case thrown in for $329. Can't wait to go to the range.
I am torn between getting a G20 and 21 and 22 Gen 5. I was guessing they all have the same frame. Just looking for something to start out with. You have big hands and similar physical frame as myself. Care to guide me a bit 🙏🏾
@@bigkev9631 why not get both? Get one model now and the other a few months later, so as not to sting the wallet much. Use the .45 for the city and the 10mm for a woods/hiking/camping/hunting sidearm. The gen 5’s have adjustable palm swells. The gen 5’s are great guns for small, medium or large hands.
The gunstore called me, my Glock 22, Gen 5 MOS is coming next week. I bought that last month after listening from Paul Harrell. I'm glad of your video. It's a confirmation. From my Taurus G3, I will try to shift to Glock 22. Regards bro from the Philippines.
You said it best .40 S&W is the best caliber not knocking 9mm, but it will get the job done. I carry my glock 22 gen 4 as well. I'm 6'3, 230lb. I have a large frame, so conceal carrying a glock 22 is not an issue for me at all. I also prefer appendix, its definitely more comfortable to carry that way.
It’s Crazy, cause I love the way the glock22 carry’s, shoots and feels….But for some reason I can’t stop carrying my glock23 Gen 4 with a g22 mag with a sleeve…It feels like a 23x Lol
Came here to get opinions on them. A place a couple hours away close where my oldest son lives has police trade in Glock 22 GEN 4 right now for $269. I ordered some ammo from them so now I get emails with the sales they have. Going down to visit my boy for Christmas to pick up the ammo and started looking at these police trade-ins they have. My first real EDC was a Ruger SR40c, so I’m fairly used to shooting the 40. Finally bought my first 9 about a year and a half ago just to have something a little smaller for spring/summer EDC but I still carry .40 in the fall and winter quite a bit. These trade-ins only come with one magazine, but I ended up buying a Kel-Tec sub 2000 in .40 S&W about 5 years ago off a coworker and it came with a 15 round mag and a couple of 33 round aftermarket mags, and I have added a few other 15 & 17 rnd mags since then, so it just makes sense to pick one of these things up since I’m in decent shape in the magazine department. I always said if I had to do it all over again I probably would have just went with 9 mm, but I got acclimated to the .40 and gotten pretty decent at it. I’m a small frame guy that unfortunately inherited my grandfather‘s small hands and my mom‘s little 12 year old girl wrists. Even with that I don’t find 40 all that challenging to shot on target. Maybe it’s because it’s what I’ve gotten used to and I’ve really come to love the .40. Doubt I would carry it very often being a small framed guy but definitely a nice home defense option. Appreciate the insight.
Most excellent choice sir. With the 40 your getting a 165 grain bullet going about the same speed as a 124 grain +p 9mm. That little extra recoil is just a reassurance that your shooting a powerful cartridge. Great video sir.
I carry a GLOCK 22 with an Apex Trigger kit with + 5 mag extension. Great minds think a like great video. All the information was correct, and I'm subing.

Glock 21 gen 4. Is my personal choice. I love the thickness of it and I am very accurate with it. I am gonna get another one. I traded my gen3 Glock 22 for the gen5 Glock. Haven't shot it yet. But I love how they made the gen5 22. More chunkier. If i only had one choice its the glock 21 for me
Mannnnnnn mo people need to seee this I swear this why my big bro always preach about pickin a gun you cool n comfortable shooting wit and this the one omm 😂😂😂😂
Not exactly. Going from .40 to 9mm in a Glock and it’s more than just the barrel you must swap out. For ultra reliability, you’d need to swap out the ejector as well. Now going from 40 to .357Sig or vice versa, then yes a barrel swap alone will do just fine. The Glock model 9mm versus .40 cal use different ejectors.
@Colt10mm Security yea I know but you can still plink with just a barrel swap and g17 mag. It's pretty reliable just prolly not for carry. I have a g22 and both conversion barrels so I know from experience.
@@justusbryant7366 Indeed that’s cool, but I would just caution people to NEVER rely on that idea for self defense purposes. Also, I never understood the transforming process of a gun, into another caliber. I like to encourage people to just buy another gun in a dedicated caliber they want. More guns is always better, especially if one breaks an internal part. Now that “3 guns-in-1” is useless until it can get repaired and the person is ass-out unless he has other guns. Just my thoughts.

I like my glock 22 g3 . It carries 2 less rounds but I like the finger grips on the handle. Just wish it had the beaver tail because the 40 actually kicks snappier than a 45
Got a Generation 4 22 that came out the box with best Glock trigger I've ever shot . I prefer the 23 generation 4 but use 22 mags backup . Got a old metal plate and 9 & 45 just leave marks but the 40 puts dents in it so 40 is a powerful round especially those Federal HST 165 grain.
