Say NO to Skin Bleaching/ 'Toning' campaign

Behind the scenes of 'I love my natural skintone' campaign. With singer 'Pauline Oduro' actress tv presenter 'Ama K Abebrese' actress 'Nana Ama McBrown' and model 'Hamamat Montia' are part of the campaign. The Anti Skin Bleaching/Skin toning- as it is popularly called in parts of Africa. To encourage women and men of colour everywhere that our natural skin colour we are born with is beautiful, whatever complexion we are. Dark, light, and all shades, we resist from the practice of using chemicals creams, lotions, pills and cosmetics to whiten our skin. We love our natural skintone.

I commend Ama K. Abebrese . I am very proud of this campaign. It is a move in the right direction. At the 1:00 mark of the video, model, Hamamat Montia, said "The phenomenon will be dark skin...". I respectfully disagree. The phenomenon for Africans and people of African descent in the diaspora will be whether you are naturally dark skinned or light skinned, LOVE the skin you're in that God gave you!!!!! ENOUGH of this "dark skin vs light skin" brouhaha; it is a major cause of division with Blacks. The legendary US civil rights leader, the late Malcolm X, was almost 'White' in appearance, but I dare ANYONE to point out anybody that was more proud and happy to be Black. By the way, I am a pro-Black, African loving West African man, that is NATURALLY light skinned , but LOVES the MANY shades that Black skin comes in. I HATE bleaching/toning, and I LOVE ALL BLACK women that keep their skin NATURAL! Say NO to bleaching/toning! Say NO to weaves! ( I hope Ama K. Abrese starts a campaign against WEAVES. I hate WEAVES too).
