The mark of a truly great artist is when you can hear their songs for 45+ years and still enjoy them just as much, if not more, than you did the first time you heard them.
Yep! Also when they can bring new generations in. I’m 30 years old and love this ! Makes Conway Twitty look like a Kindergartener in my humble opinion 😂 Love you all
Jerry Reed was a fantastic actor, writer and artist who had quite a few years of music experience including his time on the Smoky and the Bandit series of films
Jerry Reed was great. Love his music. It was fun to watch him preform. He was so laid back, like one of his times on Hee Haw. He's all comfortable in a chair sitting low. Guitar across his lap with one leg on a box and one shoe off. He looks cool. He was cool.
Country Rap ... and delta blues rap when we look back to see where Rap came from. There are examples in every kind of genre.. not the chorus, just the verses .. Not every artist was a singer
I love everything Jerry's ever recorded but it kills me that he's best known for his later gimmicky/comedic stuff. His late 60's into early 70's pieces are some of the most profound and incredible composition I've ever heard and it's a shame more people don't know about his more serious music. Only a fraction of the world's best guitar players can play the stuff he wrote (That's why Elvis had to bring him in to play Guitar Man) and all of that is overshadowed by his comedy work. He truly was the Man with the Golden Thumb, his guitar playing was supernatural.
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)

Where have all the guys like Jerry gone?
Guitar heaven.
The mold was broken when Jerry came into this world. The next batch of singer songwriter entertainers will have to be re-invented.

The "merciful ending" version; there's another version that doesn't end so well for Jerry, who alternately ends up in a courtroom and goes broke...
Contempt of court? Listen, judge; I was just kiddin'!
Lol!
a Man Way Ahead of His Time 😂
Indeed👌🤣
One Of The Snowman's Best Numbers.
