Absolute Stunning Sights of King's Guards Returning to the Baracks
Absolutely Beautiful. British Proud ❤
The Household Cavalry comprising of The Blues and Royals and The Life Guards
It was not a saddle it was his head gear that she gave back
As an equestrian, and retired Mounted Officer for a local police department,
I just want to say ... This is damn impressive!
Thank you all for your service.
And the clippety clop on cement and cobbles is such a beautiful sound! Never get tired of that sound.
Love it. When I hear it I drop everything and rush to the window.
I recorded some of it. Xx it’s as relaxing as waves from an ocean. X
Pageantry to the max, uniforms, beautiful horses and historic scenery.
Thank God for there are still honest people in the world.
It brings hope in the world.
Prayers and God's blessings to such a wonderful person
I think it dropped and the lady picked up rather than "found" it.. Saved someone dismounting! there are some lovely people around.
Such a visual show of force. With everyone watching these parades, it becomes a soft show with great impact.
Beautiful men and women. You must be so proud serving our country home and abroad. Your are so blessed too working with these magnificent horses. God bless you all and keep you safe.
This is the exact spot ERII left London for the last time. From Where her procession on a gun carriage transferred to the hearse and her army saluted her off for the last time
The royal family with the field marshal’s, generals, admirals, and air chiefs all stood on that grass to the left for the last salute.
It’s a really beautiful part of London and where the 19th century meets the present when the horses are present
❤
I’m in awe….Absolutely stunning!
A wonderful sight.
Beautiful, thank you for sharing.
The horses and riders are amazing, just the exposure to horns, humans, cyclists, traffic noise.
Horses cannot be forced to endure, it is done thru patience and reassurance.
Beautiful horses and great guards
She picked up the fallen fur cover, not a saddle!
Exactly no way could she pick up a saddle🇬🇧🧐🇬🇧
@@janebain3402 She would be perfectly capable of picking up a saddle. How do you think that they get them on the horses.
@@amandabilger2235 Not as if they're 25 kilo Mexican vaquero saddles ^^, O'ma guess more like English riding saddles?
@@janebain3402 I am an older woman - and I pick up saddles when I ride three days a week. What do you mean that a woman cannot pick up a saddle? Those of us who are physically fit CAN do it.
@@cathynewyork7918 sweetheart bless your cotton socks of course you can, as I would be able too, but these are military and KINGS guard horses, so yes their saddles are extremely heavy, SORRY I offended you I didn't mean for one minute that women aren't capable of course we are babes we rule the WORLD!x🇬🇧😍🇬🇧
Thank you so much for sharing x
Never have I seen so many beautiful horses in one place 👍❤️🇬🇧
Nothing else like it. ❤
I've ridden through there and then into Hyde Park. So busy , I was on a 17 hands horse with buses and cars all around.
A wonderful spectacle.
1:14 love the H Cav regiment riding through the arch in the lovely sunny 😎 weather. Not sure if the troopers would agree with the uniform and breast plates on.
They have been in uniform on duty since the 1660s..
@@emmsue1053I think Mary meant they would probably have been uncomfortably warm wearing their ceremonial gear on such a hot & sunny day
Wo!! All inunison very captivating and moving.
@@Kiki-readsI'm pretty sure the uniforms aren't uncomfortable, the army wouldn't allow it.
@@Kiki-reads The boots must make their legs and feet hot and sweaty!
Magnificent ❤
I ( now 72) grew up in England/London, british/english history is my historie, amd I feel britsh. I have seen parades and the RF most every time all the years, when I see this on YT here, tears roll down my cheeks and I wish I would be there.
Its a sound I love too. Have done since I was a young kid. I loved the sound of my horses shod hooves was awesome ut there something about these cobblestones in London that makes it even better. Sometimes i fall asleep listening to this sound. 😊
Saddle cover, not saddle 🫣
Not, ‘The Boss’ either.
Misleading tagline 😏
Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that!!
Oh you can’t beat the BLUS AND ROYALS
these are amazing and beautiful horses
WOW, impressive❤
It was a numnah for a saddle !
How many guards and horses? You people in the UK, be proud and support your history and traditions. In the US, we have nothing.
Give or take 500 to 1,000 horses and guards. That's not all of them
Well said! From the USA.
Most of us are proud apart from some idiots who no respect !
GOD BLESS YOU! Thank you! Your comment made me cry 🤦♀️🥰🥰🥰🥰🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Wow, @kayewoodward1111 🙄we do have traditions but not on the scale of the British
They are absolutely amazing British forces are the best of the best ..
Our American forces have accomplished much bigger things than the British forces. For example, we helped win World War II. British won the Falkland Islands. LOL.
@@cathynewyork7918 I advice you to read some books.
-when I remember , tell me please if I am wrong, the english/british tradition is 1000 years old, or is it the royal rule/leadership?
Best and most beautiful world wide and forever!
@@Maria-tm2eu You spelled "advise' wrong - "advice" is a noun, but "advise" is a verb, and you mean the verb in this case. YOU need to read some books! LOL. [I am a college graduate - are you???]
Always good to see the King's soldiers, especially today, Memorial Day over here.
WOW!!! They are overwhelmingly marvelous❤
I really get a strong sense of pride when I see these magnificent horses and immaculate troopers. …..and respect to the resident or tourist who handed over the horses saddle accessories …….😎😎🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
SPECTACULAR.
Where else can you see a fanrastic parade of magnificant guards and horses walking, only LONDON
Magnificent.
Saddle blanket not saddle 😊
King and Queen❤-Thanks And the Reds❤
Lovely lady…well done😡🥰🥰
There it is: 8:31
Fantastic ❤
United Kingdom steeped in history we know how to put a show on
❤❤❤❤❤❤
🤩🤩🤩🤩
🤩🤩🤩💖💖
Is this all part of the 'Trooping the colour' preparations?
Its a saddle foam pad I think. It sits underneath a saddle for extra protection for the horse.
No, it’s a sheepskin saddle cover for what was once a holster for a pair of pistols. You can see at 9:10 that there is a leather roll strapped over the pommel of the saddle to mimic it.
@@Roheryn100 OK... :)
THE HORSIES, MUST BE AWFULLY THRISTY IN THE DRY CITY AND SUN!!!!! BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS......
They are well watered before exercise of course. No thirstier than the men.
Who are the Troopers in Dark Uniform that some are leading horses, and why are they leading the horse's
The lifeguards
Blues and royals red coate the life guards
If you’re talking about around 6:35 in the video, my guess is they might be newer horses they are training to get accustomed to ceremonial duties. Wearing the saddle and reins, walking in a group along city streets with crowds, motorcycles etc.
@barbaragouin7232 NO. B&R - dark blue only. Red - Lifeguards.
@@Kiki-readsthose are officers from multiple regiments required to be on horseback for Trooping the Colors. Their regiments are denoted in the different saddle blankets.
Like the video
About a minute before the end. 😂
If thats not enough to make you proud to be British then i dont know what is.
👀❤️🐎🐎
Just how many black horses do they have ?!?
Impressive.
Southern Ireland not Northern Ireland 😂
Who was the unit on horseback but not wearing ceremonial uniforms?
Often cavalry riding instructors (if they have a gold spur on their right arm) keeping an eye on things.
The black cop after about 18 second into video was amazing he had such awareness of everything around him he was made for this INFACT he would make a really good bodyguard, .most coppers stand their the IDIOTS with arms behind their backs and chatting,
WELL DONE MATE!🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
I ve always wondered😉how many blacksmiths are there???? 👀👀Farriers etc to do the horses feet🐝💞💥I love the smell when being shod🫐very fascinating😂😂✌️toodles💞
Four or five farriers.
Is this the same parade as the other when the horse threw his rider?
I t is not a saddle!!
It's good to see the police actually doing their job and not just as Palestinian protesters security guards
I would like to know .
What do they actually
guard .
Just curious
The king.
and when not on Royal duties "The Country as they are all enlisted soldiers.
You asked what the British horse guards actually guard ... in my opinion, they are guarding tourism and all the money that comes into the country from the tourists who come to watch this stuff!
Google Household Cavalry. They are an armoured vehicle unit and have a long and distinguished military role. They are far more than what you see here.
It looks like a sheepskin flounce?
Was that King Charles?
Why are there horses being ponied with no Calvary on it, just an empty saddle? I think I saw four.
New horses in training.
Please for the love of all that is holy …… learn the difference between Calvary and Cavalry. One is the hill near Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified the other is mounted soldiers.
@@OrangeySky11 🤣😂 Oh my God! I can’t believe I did that. I’ll blame it on years of Catholic school. I’m even annoyed at myself for such a grammatical bungle.
@@pennylane428 You’re not alone, thus my elevated reaction. Nine out of ten people use it wrongly. I worked for a government agency for 23 years and part of my duties included proofreading all correspondence (retired now) so mistakes just jump off the page at me. Sorry if I seemed over the top but cavalry/Calvary is one of my pet peeves, simply because so many do it. You would not believe how many pastor’s have done the same. 🤭
@@OrangeySky11 I completely understand certain words being a thorn in your side. I don’t want to be a statistic of being one of the nine out of 10 people that made an orthographic error. This is a good lesson for my students, as it is for me to realize the importance of proofreading, even a comment on TH-cam. So thank you
Seriously, don’t ride your bike through poop. It’s slick and sticks in your tire treads.
...i saw in an earlier video one guard got thrown from his horse...maybe it was why the horse was being led at the end...same video?...who was the guy at the end saying 'tuck it under your arm mate, carry it, don't just sit there saying nothing' lol..was it you??
😡What a stupid title for this video.
An inconsequential few seconds right at the end 🤦🏼
Police on horses are just posers and totally unnecessary.
Triggered much ?
Perhaps, if America had paid heed and widely celebrated, nationally, the history of Native Americans you would also show pride. I know NA fight to keep it going and promote it but there is no doubt its not widespread in mainstream America. Such a shame.
I am NA. We use to have our celebrations but we offended people with their 1st ammendment rights, so our history is fading. So, in my old age I have memories.
Waste of public money
In the U.S. we waste a lot of public money on things we never get to see. At least you have this, where you can see your service members partaking in long-standing tradition. It inspires pride and appreciation in the UK's history, heritage, and service members. I'd take your place in a heartbeat, and live in the UK and sing God Save The King everyday if only I could.
@@CollectiveCraze You could live in the UK if you want to. Many people move to other places. Don't say if only you could - just DO it. I lived my whole life in California, but wanted to move to New York City - so I DID it.
@@cathynewyork7918 Not all of us are rich enough to suddenly pick up and move. It takes time. I've been working on a path toward moving to the UK for the last 5 years, but it might take me at least another 5 years to do so. However, my point was, if I was able to do it today, I would.
@@CollectiveCraze I also am NOT a rich person, but I was saving and investing for years with the goal of moving from Los Angeles to New York City. I am thrilled that I finally did it. Keep saving, so you can achieve your goal. I am sooooo happy I moved here to NYC. I hope you will be just as thrilled when you make your new life.
