    In college about 10 years ago, I studied for a time in Fukuoka. That spaghetti was in almost every convenience store bento I ever had. 😂 It was very nostalgic to see it again! That said, although I love karaage, the noriben would be my favorite.

      Yea, that spaghetti is very common side dish in Japanese bento. haha

    I love all your recipes. I lived in Japan 30 years ago. And now I am trying to eat more healthily and lose weight. Lots of miso soup and your high protein recipes!

    I LOVE learning about ekiben! This is really cool to give us guides to make it at home (especially for those of us who like trying to make creative meals to bring to work).

    They all have their merits, it would be difficult to choose! Salmon or chicken would be first choice. You did great! 😃

    I love these recipes, I cook them for my family and they also love it! I was wondering where you get your plates/bowls from (we need to work on portion control lol), and some recipes for picky eaters? My younger brother is very picky unlike the rest of us haha, thank you! 😊

    What kind of oil do you use to fry? And do you filter it and reuse it?

    • @JapaneseCookingChannel
      @JapaneseCookingChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use clear type sesame oil for frying (this sesame is not roasted). And yes, I reuse it after filtering.

    I know that this is probably a stupid question but I had a question about the sugar you use. I'm in the states and I really would like to make some of your dishes that I've seen, but I'm having trouble finding the sugar. Is there a substitute that I can Use? Thank you, and i'm really glad that I found this channel

      Also, my daughter will only things that have soy sauce in them. She's special needs and I love learning about the different cultures. I was hoping to be able to make her the Bento boxes and stuffed For school this next year.
      So i'm trying to make good as authentic as possible

    • @JapaneseCookingChannel

      You can use any type of sugar you have. I always use light brown sugar (called Kibizato). Any kind of sugar would fit my recipe, even stevia is fine, I think.

    Can you give me advice for 🇯🇵 online shopping. Which could be delivered to europe. 🙏 Thank you

      You can try dokodemo (Japan based, although they don't show euros as a currency! Their prices are also almost the same as Japan), Japan Centre (based on the UK), or JFC eu.
