Yes, and it's so tasty! In the Finnish version we use dark syrup to sweeten and deepen the flavor :)

I've always wanted to try making a rolled omelet. I can make scrambled and fried eggs, but this is the one that's always had my attention and curiosity.

I got one of those square pans for Christmas and I am loving it. Thin egg is more fun to cook and if you roll thin ingredients up into your omelet, like ham or greens, they make cute little pinwheels when sliced. Still haven't perfected the egg rolling technique though... 😅

Butter in a squeeze tube is a fantastic idea! Instead of cutting some off of a block of butter and then having to weigh it to make sure you've got the right amount every time!

When I stayed in Tokyo, the hotel served a soup for breakfast. It was a tomato consommé of some kind but I think it may have been miso based. Have you seen this type of soup as it was delicious and light. Soup for breakfast was a surprise to an English man. Thank you for sharing your recipes, I have tried some and will be trying more.

    • @JapaneseCookingChannel

I think tomato with miso based soup is not really common, but sounds good!

Fantastic! Thank you for filming and sharing your recipes. One day a long time ago I was at university and was starving. I had many choices. Fast foods... but I worked for a Chinese family for many years hosting and waiting tables. I chose to trust the Asian people and bought their food. Miso Soup. It was so delicious and made me feel refreshed and ready for more classes. I love your channel and thank you from my heart for producing so many wonderful healthy meals for your audience.

In the recipe you say, "Once the water has come to a boil, then you SWITCH OFF THE FLAME", but in your video the flame is still ON FULL and you are adding tea, cinnamon, cardamom etc.
Question: Do you switch off the flame once the water is boiled and then add the various ingredients or
add the ingredients while the water is boiling and the flame is high???
