    Marco Gavioli...Sorry, I don't understand your question.
    i like the slow explanation, slow movement around the screen, and the red circle/box around the items to add emphasis of what you are talking about; oh, and the access to the links to use so we can follow along with you.
    at 5:36 to 5:39 how did you do that smooth transformation?

  • @BLTV_Photoshop
    @BLTV_Photoshop  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ja, ich benutze Google Übersetzung. Auch wenn es viele Fehler macht, bleibt das Wesentliche. Die Software die ich benutze ist Techsmith Camtasia Studio.

    nik jones...It could be due to a number of reasons and one would have to see your PSD file to analyze the problem. The shape of the layer mask should be exactly the shape of the subject in Layer 1. Without the layer mask, Layer 2 would be entirely stone, however, the layer mask determines the shape how much of the stone texture is revealed and hidden.

    Regarding clothing: The stone effect works as long as clothing is lightened to match the general tone of the skin. To isolate dark clothing:
    1. De-saturate the entire figure.
    2. Make a COPY of it & make sure its active.
    3. Draw or paint a selection around the dark clothing.
    4. Click on the LAYER MASK button. This will make a layer mask of the selection.
    5. Make the copied figure ACTIVE again.
    6. Use methods such as Curves, Levels, Brighten/Contrast & the Dodge tool.

    gustavo campos... Thank you for your comment. I generally give quick explanations of why I do what I do in my tutorials. In your example of the displacement map, I explained what displacement maps do (1:32) and showed close-ups of the stone statue showing how it used the values of the subject to displace the stone texture (3:28).

    Martin your videos are great and are simply the best tutorials on You Tube. I would like to ask you why when I'm making a layer mask of the man it's making the entire photo into stone. Does it have to do with the way i'm cutting the picture with the quick select tool.

    Artifact panson...Yes, this technique will work on darker tones, however, the brightness & contrast of the image used for the displacement map needs to be adjusted, so the tones are more varied.
