The '60's was the time of great music brought by great young musicians ; Stormy was one of the pieces they brought us, at the same time poignant and gently haunting...

What a truly great voice and style Dennis had. He and his music made a life-long lasting impression on my life for sure. Back in 1969 thru 1973, I had an AM Top 40 radio show in the Virgin Islands. It was the best part of my life. I was in my early 20's then and when Dennis and his music came to our station on those old 45's I loved them so much that I played them often. There was a LOT of great music out then, but Dennis' music was right up there at the very top in my opinion. He left a great mark in the world of music.

Awesome song! Love it! from a youngster here this is one of my mother's favourite song and one of mine's too which I plan to sing this song at one of my upcoming gigs. So I've heard the album version of this song aswell awesome and watching it live on TH-cam "Dennis still got it" awesome again! Great voice! I am sad to hear Dennis had passed on not long ago as it is written on here r.i.p Beautiful memories this song brings back to me of my childhood years, hearing this song my mother would play countless times on her old record player LP. This song is a treasure worth treasuring for all time..
Many thanks to the poster of this great video clip of Dennis. He and the Classics IV were a one in a million group and Dennis's unique and magical voice was so memorable. I would have paid a lot for the chance to see Dennis and the guys in their heyday, but sadly that never happened for many of us fans. His huge hits have been imitated and covered by many people over the years in respect to the group's fine musical achievements and millions of record sales. Also nice to see Atlanta Rhythm Section carry over their fine version of "Spooky" over the years. RIP Dennis - knowing millions of fans like me greatly appreciated the fine music you left us. Thanks!!

"Stormy" is as relevant as ever these days. Very nice rendition and great guitar work. Dennis had a helluva voice. Didn't a couple of guys from Classic IV go onto the Atlanta Rhythm Section? I know both bands did "Spooky" another great song.

I think Dennis Yost had one of a classic voices around ......smooth as silk from the 60s.....
I always thought that as a male singer his voice was incomparable....
The same for Karen Carpenters voice being unique silky smooth and timeless!

What a treasure! I recorded a cover of this about 10 years ago - five years before this one was posted and got a very nice comment from Linda Yost, which I still treasure to this day. But finding this gem today really made my day. The audio quality is excellent, too, which is so rare to find in these vintage performances. So wonderful. Thank you for posting this!! Jeff you did an excellent cover of this song. I watch lots of the Mrs. Jones Revenge concerts on youtube. It is so great to see this genre preserved. Dennis was a great vocalist. His music lives on through talents such as yours.
