  • Hey everyone! 🎨✨ In this video, I'll show you a quick and simple way to create battlefield ruin bases for your miniatures, perfect for a sci-fi city vibe. Whether you're building bases for Astra Militarum, Genestealer Cults, or any other army, these techniques will help you achieve a stunning look with ease.
We'll be using materials like plaster chunks, pipes, wires, mesh, cork sheet, and a miniature I-beam. Feel free to swap these out for other items you have on hand. We'll start with a layer of cork sheet for a larger working area. Once that's in place, we'll glue down piles of rubble, wire, and mesh, keeping space for your models. Consider your color scheme and add elements like pipes or metal beams for extra detail.
Next, we'll apply texture paste over the base to hold elements in place and add ground texture. Use spray cans for a zenithal highlight, giving nice variance and shadow tones. For painting, wash the groundwork and rubble with chosen colors, then overbrush and drybrush to add depth and color variations. Paint the metals with black basecoat and layer with silver and bronze.
Finally, apply washes to metals for definition and use oils or technical paints for rust and patina effects. By following these steps, you'll create detailed, cohesive bases that enhance the look of your models. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and check out my other videos on similar basing techniques.
    Happy basing, and see you next time! 🎨✨ #MiniatureBasing #BattlefieldRuinBases #SciFiBases #Warhammer #GenestealerCults #AstraMilitarum #TabletopGaming #PaintingTechniques
