- I modified an already fantastic auto bed level project for the Voron 0.1 and worked out the last bit of issues it had!
Please go check out the original project over at / theroboboat

Hey! Thank you for checking out the project! I like the modified probe mount. I was worried about the issues with being that close to the hot end but it seems to be working well. Nice work on the video :)
Hey man thanks so much for giving it a look! Yeah no problems at all being that close! I've even set temps to 275c and no warping on the probe mount at all.
I installed it on my printer. Everything works great especially first layer. Thank You and Christian!
Glad you like it and it's working out for you!
I enjoyed seeing your Clicky! +1 Sub
Thank you so much! There will be plenty more awesome things coming soon to the channel!
Excellent mod!
Glad you like it!
Is there a reason why we need bed levelling to begin with, in modern 3D printing? Is it not better to build machines with a robust and level bed to begin with. XYZ should be orthogonal, no runout and the bed should be level without “fiddling” Apologies if my question is a bad/dumb one
Hi Anthony! Not a dumb or a bad question at all. In a perfect world yes, it would be best to build a machine that is robust enough to maintain level; however in 3D printing, we have to account for thermal expansion and contraction of the heated build plate which will (at a verrrrry small scale) flex the build plate just enough to where the first layer of filament will not be laid down properly. We're talking 0.02mm being the difference between a failed print and a perfect layer. Bed levelling doesn't actually adjust the bed at all, rather it creates a topographical map of the bed after being heated to see all of the heat induced warping and the printer firmware will accommodate for those slight differences. I hope this answered your question!
@@DaturaDynamics good point, thank you for the feedback.
Круто продовжуй в томуж дусі.
Дякую, я теж так думаю. Мені подобається покращувати ситуацію, наскільки це можливо.
