they are good, intelligent and nice. Unlike the other sailing and travel channels, they don't act like fools in swimsuits with their butts in the wind. They are hard workers and always tell useful and interesting things. This new chapter of their adventure is the natural continuation of their spirit.

2:50 Thank you for responding to our comments and forgiving us when the comment comes across wrong or slightly offensive. I am very thankful that you both constantly let us into your lives and in your adventure. Sail on! 😊
You let us into your life and soul, and you did it with some amazing cinematography along the way. It doesn't hurt that your both charming and beautiful humans. I hope you are enjoying your side of the camera as much as we enjoy our side. Don't forget to be true to yourselves, and all will be well. Fair winds and following seas.
Congratulations on 400 episodes, can't believe I've watched them all! The Norway passage were some of my favorite episodes but honestly I loved them all and I love you guys. Thanks for taking me along on this journey with you.
I’ve been watching for a while and you guys are great. I was even watching another sailing ch where they were sailing west across the Atlantic and they showed Uma on the AIS. They specifically called out Uma. This is how successful you are. Known around the world. Keep going, we need 400 more.
As an 20 year assembly mechanic in airplane manufacturing we have a saying about procedures and tools. First is “You don’t know what you don’t know, and Second is not a put down unless you take it that way but more like a brain stimulus to get you to see outside the box but also within the defined realm of procedures and the why. It’s the “Is it the TOOL, or the TOOL using the tool? .😂. You 2 are awesome !!
Happy 400th D&K! I've been with you for more than a decade, and started with Step 1. You've never been boring and you've always kept it fresh and interesting. Here's to the next 400!🥂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🍻
Kika, I loved seeing your excitement over something as simple as an electric pizza cutter and the mild irritation of realising how many hours it could have saved you had you discovered it 10 years ago. The recap over the hundred's steps brought back memories of past steps that I have watched since discovering your channel 8 years ago. Loving how Uma is becoming a boat again and so excited to see the rest of the build.
Congrats to episode 400! I'm so impressed that you are able to film so much while you are working. It's not just the extra time. I know that it means a layer of complexity as well. I really appreciate it. I'm so excited to follow your adventure. Been watching you for a long time, and will keep watching. :-)
We like it. It keeps us in the lifestyle. If we were in an apartment it would be too static and un-motivating for us. Beside, there's no way we could afford doing this refit AND renting a place in Olbia for this long. We would have been broke months ago.
Congratulations on the 400th episode and, also the elect cutter for all your cutting needs. it looks like a fun tool for all the tedious large and small jobs.
The only authentic sailing channel on TH-cam Im following since the beginning and I never stopped watching,, keep doing what you are doing. Congratulations 🎉
Great vids, I watch you every week. Bits of free advice - take that for what it is worth. You seem to be tabbing in the bulkheads in 2 stages. One to do the bog to lay in the cove. And then secondly adding the glass. You can do this in one step. Just put the wet glass straight over the bog before it goes off. Saves time and sanding. A variation of this is when glassing onto a rough surface, through down some sloppy bog and then glass straight on top. The sloppy bog will fill the crevices. Next, when tabbing with cloth or roving cut the cloth at a 45deg angle to the weave - use a straight edge and marker to mark it out. This has 2 benefits. Firstly, you will have both strands going at 45deg angle to hull/bulkhead join. This means both strands are working and the will be a lot stronger. Secondly, the strands will lay through the curve(concave or convex) without standing up and creating air bubbles. The cloth will be a bit harder to handle(it will want to "come undone") but is well worth the effort. You are doing a great job and you both are a joy to watch('cause I don't have to do the sanding!).
Step 400, What a long journey. So much more awaits. Can't wait! All that hard work is paying off. Keep up the good work. we are all here supporting you guys!
That's the slowest game of Tetris I've ever seen :) Just a thought... While you're building, maybe build in some screw threads into the ceiling or other spots and make a camera mount you can mount cameras in places like right in the middle of a room or somewhere that might be really irritating to set up a tripod. There might be some good camera angles in odd places that you wouldn't normally shoot from. To make the mount, all you would need is an aluminum square bent out of flat bar, big enough to surround your camera. Drill one or more holes in each side. Two bolts with wingnut heads. one to mount the camera, and one to mount the mount. there is probably a product out there already that would mean all you'd need is the threads to mount in various places. If it doesnt exist, it probably will soon. Like I said, just a thought.
I can only imagine how much time and effort it took to set all the crazy camera placements for this episode. Kudos for a beautifully filmed and edited Step 400.
Enjoy what you have ! I had a partner like Kiki and I would give anything to have her back and live the life you have . Sadly she passes , I am still grateful for every minute and love her even more.
Congratulations on 400th Episode.. and UMA is coming back together nicely. Love your channel .. can’t wait for the 800th episode.❤ I miss cheers from Kika at the end of episodes.
The fact that you guys work that hard all day and then go sleep in a truck is wild to me. 😂 I am constantly impressed by what you're doing out in the world and enjoy all your progress. Thanks for 400 great episodes!
This is great. You guys make progress every week!! 400 Episodes is a lot, I think I started when you guys were in Iceland, pulling out some champagne to celebrate your success that I had no idea about. Then you did norway, and I was hooked. It would be fun to see you guys do greece with all the islands, and I have a curiosity about Chile because it has so many Islands and nobody ever goes there... Greece will be fun and its super cheap compared to most of europe and definitely USA. The goal is to get back out there! instead of sleeping in a van in europe. I bet you guys sleep better with a full night.
You channel is one of the first sailing channels I watched. Still compulsive watching. This project is so exciting. Congrats on 400. Nice to see safety gear in use as you work in confined space with those materials. Done, done, done - you are entitled to be tired. 🎉
Thank you two, I remember way back when you started, What adventures. So many things to Fit into Places and secure. Look forward to next weekend. Love watching. God bless you all.❤❤❤
Shower thought - Uma has added, on average, over a thousand new subscribers for every single video they have released. That is remarkable and a credit to likeability of our hosts asnd the production standards of the vid's.
400 episodes - congrats guys, hope seeing you once in Australia -Queensland - sunshine coast maybe one day i hope. Uma will be strong as for that crossing 😂
Congrats on 400!!!! 🎂🥂🎉Love you guys! Thank you for letting us 'come along' for the beautiful wild ride! You two are absolutely amazing!!! We all learn so much from you both and get a lot of joy watching. Thanks again, sincerely 🥰

Been with you since Step 1 and still impressed. There are now hundreds of sailing channels, but Uma was outstanding from the outset.

400 is craaaazy, you both still look so happy in your rebuild. Crossing fingers the process hits no snagged and you’re sailing again soon.
